On my search for some breakfast/brunch/lunch I stumbled into Twisted Pasty by accident — what a happy coincidence! Got a place at the window right away, the nice and friendly waitress brought the menu and some water and then it was my turn to decide what I want to eat. And man, that’s a really hard decision. Everything sounds just good, in the end I took«The Miner» with clam chowder and I was more than happy with my decision. I mean, the restaurant is called«Twisted PASTY», so what else could your first order be than one of their pasties they’re apparently famous for? The clam chowder was really delicious, alone for this soup I would come back here! The Pasty was hearty, hot and luscious. I really enjoyed my meal here, besides the good food it’s a nice and cozy place to be.

Pastys. Pasties? Whatever the plural form is. this place has their pasty down. We came here by chance and I am glad that we ended up eating here. It was a Saturday afternoon lunch time. A pitcher of mimosa, breakfast pasty, and corned beef skillet… that’s all I needed to make my lunch here amazing! They have a versatile menu and it looks like their lunch/dinner options are just as good.

Tried this place out for lunch. Since this place is called twisted pasty it would have been a shame to try anything other than a pasty. Mmm philly cheese steak. What could be wrong with steak, caramelized onions, green bell peppers, mushrooms and provolone? Well the steak, that’s what was wrong. It was extremely dry forcing you to eat it in whole pieces or tear it away with your fingers like an animal. Don’t let the photos fool you, these pasties are definitely not as savory as they appear!

Twisted pasty has a great selection of beer and amazing pasties! I have no complaints so far and had to write a review. It’s hard to pass up a really fancy puff-pastry. Especially when the stuffing is anywhere from skirt steak to the Philly Cheese Steak to traditional European eats like Bangers & Mash to veggie options. All warm and delicious and folded into a flakey crust. Nom Nom! If you are wondering what the hell is a pasty, then my friend, you need a quick lesson. It’s basically baked pastry of mysterious origin(British/Irish/Cornish?) filled with sliced meat, peas, onions and potatoes with gravy rolled into puffy bread. It’s usually served with fries(chips). The food at Twisted pasty takes a while to come out but that maybe because each order is made fresh. The staff is very friendly and checks on you regularly. The Twisted pasty’s menu concept is simple yet eclectic. It’s full of pasties with so many variations for every taste bud out there. There’s the classic British ones and also, some fun twists on Curry, Greek and New Mexican flavors. One important piece of information is that they always have a bunch of pasties that are meatless and vegetarian. It’s a really nice treat for any vegetarians out there who are sick of eating salads at every restaurant. What I will further drive in is the fact that this is quality-from-scratch food. But be patient! This is not some Hot Pocket popped fresh out of the microwave. It is real food. The pasties are large and filling. One is usually two meals. Being a huge fan of Pasties, I would like to mention is that they are always perfectly done and still moist inside with a nice flavor kick. The crust is nice and golden brown, not to thick but more than enough to keep everything inside. It’s so flaky and perfect. It’s amazing how many flavors of filling they have here at any given time. And, from what I tried, all were great! I loved the Breakfast Skillet and the accompanying Green Chile sauce. Simply delicious! I also, recommend Bangers & Mash pasty which is perfect for people who have a mellower palate. This is a great place to meet up or hangout with your buddies. Pasties are not the only thing on the Twisted pasty’s menu. Overall, great place to gather up with the crew and down a few pints and then chow down on some tasty grub. I remember when this place opened, I was on my way over there as fast as I could drive to get a fill of a much-missed pasty. If you happen to stumble upon it, you will enjoy it. It’s a rather tiny but cute place. Servings here are generous, service is good, parking is easy and the atmosphere is very relaxed. It’s a great place to go with a group or take a date.

We came in here for a late dinner when we first got to Seattle looking for a bite to eat. The staff is super friendly and that’s honestly why I went up from a 3 to a 4 on this review. The little clipboard menu with what was on tap was outdated, so the server was nice enough to explain what there was and make a recommendation for the pomegranate cider that turned out to be amazing. My friend and I decided to split some mac and cheese and then share a bangers and mash pasty(I mean, if we were gonna do a pasty, it should be something UKish). The mac and cheese was pretty good, a decent size for two people as an appetizer. The pasty was split into half for us, but it was sooo potatoey, I wasn’t really a fan. It also tasted really dry. I’m sure one of the others would’ve been a better option. We topped off our meal with the whiskey brownie — wooooeeee I know it’s only 1 shot of Jameson but when it ends up saturating your brownie and getting into all that delicious chocolate syrup, you can really get the sense of whiskey. Overall, it’s a cute little place for a unique bite to eat… I’d probably come back for a different pasty though.

I really wanted to like this place. It’s a great idea. But I did not like the food. And the service was a little odd too.

Came here for brunch on Sunday. I ordered the corn beef skillet. It was really dry and not very flavorful. The décor was nice, and it was a bit empty when I got there. Got an overcharge on the bill(a few dollars more), but didn’t mention it since the waiter said it was her first day. I wouldn’t come back here because the food didn’t do it for me. It was too bland.

I decided to give Twisted Pasty a second chance and I am very glad that I did. A friend and I decided to grab a drink after work here and the bartender totally took care of us. He was friendly, the food selection was great and the craft drink selection was even better. Even though this place is known for pasties I think the craft drink selection could rival some of the places in Belltown that only specialize in mixed drinks. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual as usual. It’s a comfortable neighborhood spot and I am so glad that the glitch I experienced in the past has been resolved. I’m looking forward to visiting again soon.

We stopped by the Twisty Pasty(pronounced«past-e») after reading positive reviews and needing a nearby place after hitting the Space Needle. The restaurant was cute and had a varied clientele. Originally we were a bit disappointed because the full pasty menu is not available everyday, but they select a handful of pasties for the day’s menu. Luckily, even though it wasn’t advertised as an option, they had a veggie option for my date. I broke the rules and didn’t order a special and got fish and chips instead. Both of our orders were so delicious. The flavors in the veggie pasty were perfect and the fish and chips were perfectly fried and delicious. They also offer a great selection of craft beers with some unique cider options. My favorite part of the restaurant was the Pay It Forward board. There was a roll of paper on the wall where people could purchase a meal or a beer and offer it to whomever fits the criteria. You could offer a drink to a friend, to a member of the military, or even a random person from your hometown. It was such a nice, unique addition to a great lunch spot.

Stopped into Twisted Pasty on a whim. Just happened to be in the neighborhood and wanted a bite and this little gem called to me. I have to say, I was very pleased to stumble into such a place! Server was fantastic! Since I came in between breakfast and lunch I opted for breakfast. I ordered the Baked Blueberry French Toast. Wow does not even come close to the tasty meal I had. Blueberries were baked into the French toast and it was topped with whip cream and strawberries too. The bourbon syrup was a fantastic complement as well. I will definitely be back to try the Pasties, the table next to me ordered the Miner and the Philly Cheese Steak both I will be trying! Location = On the corner & easy to find in Belltown Service = Excellent Prices = Very reasonable for the large portion sizes Ambiance = Clean & the décor was awesome Food = Love it!

I ate here twice a week apart. Both times I went on a Sunday and ordered a brunch plate with syrup and both times fruit flies came in the syrup! The first time I didn’t catch it before I poured it all over my food so they had to re-make my blueberry french toast. They gave me my food for free the first time but not the second. Also my friend found a hair in her pancakes the first trip. It’s a damn shame because the inside of this place is so very cool, and their menu is amazing — tastes great without the flies– but the food takes a LONG time. #fliesinmysyrup

Tried this, after wandering by a few times. Situated on a corner, Twisted Pasty has a few outside seats, which are always welcome on a summer evening, so I elected to sit there. The menu has a nice selection of pasty, however, they are on rotation, so you need to check the board inside to see the current ones. I opted for something conservative, the miner, which while the actual flavors were good, the pastry itself was nice, the meat was tough, which detracted from the overall enjoyment of the meal. –1 star for the tough meat, but overall 4 for flavors, beer selection, service and location.

We gave this place a second chance and experienced great service. It was a nice, sunny day and we sat indoors despite the available outdoor seating. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing. We both ordered chicken cordon bleu pasties and they were delightful. They come with sides, so we got sides of fries and a salad to share. The food is so filling that each of us only finished half of our pasty and took the rest home. Unfortunately, both of us were left with tummy aches that night and into the next day(so badly that my fiancé left work early) and I ended up tossing out the other half of my meal just to be safe. It is unlikely that we will return.

Very cute décor, and you can find more space if you go farther back around the bar. The spicy Bloody Mary, made with their house jalapeño infused vodka, in my opinion is a tiny bit on the salty side, but it’s still tasty. It comes full with olives, pepper, celery, and pickled asparagus. The pasties come with a side of soup, salad, or fries. The fries are natural cut fries and not super crispy, and some soggy. That could be good or bad, depending on your preference. They’re accompanied by their unique house curry ketchup. Each pasty is around $ 13 and they really fill you up. They’re super hearty but kind of bland. Not bad though since the 2 we got had dipping sauces, a gravy and a buttery mustard. Overall, it’s a fun place to visit and try something different, but I’m not sure if I’ll return. Maybe to meet up for drinks.

Finally got to try this place out. The food was better than I expected, but man it was a carb-loaded meal… The best thing was the bacon wrapped, cream cheese stuffed jalapeño. Yum! Our group ordered Taos Chile Verde, Greek Veggies, and Curry Chicken. My Chili Verde was pretty great, the bottom of the pasty was soggy, but that’s understandable. The curry chicken was 80% rice… I was just so glad I wasn’t eating all that rice. The sauces were all pretty great, flavorful and went very well with the pasties. I don’t know what happened with the service, we asked for the fries and jalapeño to come out first since the pasties take 15 minutes to bake. We waited forever and got our food all at once. We wouldn’t enjoyed the whole experience a lot more if we got some food when we were starved, as requested, and then we would’ve happily waited for the pasties without getting extremely hangry…

While I was planning my trip to Seattle, I came across a Groupon for this place. Saw that Twisted Pasty had good reviews and wanted to try it out, so I bought it. It wasn’t too far from our hotel. We went on a Friday night around 9 pm. There was only one or 2 other tables there so pretty empty. A pretty quite ambiance, I liked it. We ordered: — bacon wrapped peppers — tempura zucchinis — banger and mash pasty with a mustard sauce on the side, and french fries — a few beers and a cocktail My least favorite dish were the zucchinis. Definitely not tempura style, more like a fish and chip batter. This was plenty of food for 2 people. We split the pasty. Everything else was tasty! They have a late night happy hour deal, ½ pasties a la carte. Cute restaurant!

This place is amazing and so cute! I love the pasty’s here and how vegetarian-friendly they are! I highly recommend the quinoa pasty, but for meat lovers there are tons to choose from as well. I that drinks are so delicious, especially their house drinks. The staff is all very friendly and helpful. I love it here, and can’t wait to go back!

A new concept. Savory pie! It’s dough shell wrapping some meat and veggie and baked to seal in the flavor. The shell was crispy with just the right amount of chew. The filling was delicious and just about the right portion. The beer selection was excellent too. I had a great time. Strangely the staff was not attentive. I stood at the door way for many minutes without anyone paying attention to me. The owner was lovely and friendly.

We came here for a quick dinner after seeing that there was a Cornish pasty shop in the area. Overall, I’d say the experience was 2.5 stars since some aspects were pretty disappointing, but I’m glad we went so now we know! Service wasn’t spectacular but was okay. I noticed they had two ciders on tap, and asked which one was better. The server literally said«I don’t know, I’ve only worked here a week and I haven’t tasted them». That was also her response when I asked about some of the pasties. I asked here if I could taste the two ciders, and she brought me two little half-flight glasses, which was cool. The pasties were okay. We wanted the curry chicken one, but they were out.(We went in early on a Saturday evening and they were out of a standard menu item? Wut?) We got the breakfast pasty instead, and it was okay but with the egg and fried potatoes weighing down the crust it didn’t really hold up as much as a Cornish pasty should have. The pastry got a bit squishy and with the potatoes it felt overly carby. I felt as though with some of the fancier pasties that they were trying a bit too hard, and as a result the textures didn’t do too well with the pastry. The fries, however, were by FAR the standout menu item. They were crispy and perfectly fried. The layout of the place is pretty nice, although there was a table of six behind us that had left and their plates weren’t cleared so the table was covered in dirty plates and some flies for the duration of our meal. It’s not like the restaurant was busy, so I’m kind of surprised and grossed out that it didn’t get bussed. There’s a decent beer and wine selection. We walked in but I didn’t really see a parking lot, although there seemed to be a fair amount of street parking, even for a Saturday evening.
