Had brunch here over the weekend. Very nice décor and atmosphere. Has a classy bar feel. Had their Irish Coffee cocktail which was a great start. Really great comfort food on the small brunch menu. Fried Chicken and Waffle and the Biscuits and Gravy with a sunny side egg were both excellent. Quality and portion size are spot-on for the price. Friendly and attentive service. We will be back!

Food always surprise me. Great people, and the owners, have worked in the industry all over Seattle. They know perfection, and this is it, prices are reasonable, great neighborhood bar with class bit not snooty.

It’s been a long week and because of that I need to get myself a «Logan Fry». It’s clockwork.

My long layover in Seattle continues with brunch at Wakefield Bar. We went during a Seahawks game, and there was a decent crowd. There are two TVs on each side of the bar. Service slow for brunch. There were only two servers on(both handling the bar too). Took forever just to get an order in. Somehow, they ran out of chicken and waffles at 10:30AM. So I got the biscuits and gravy. We also got a wing appetizer. The wings were probably the best thing. Nice and crispy. The sausage was good too. I can’t say I liked the biscuits and gravy though. The gravy was runny. Sausage gravy should be thick. My friend’s food came out ice cold. Maybe they just need a do over.

A+ service and drinks. Jane is literally the coolest bartender I’ve ever met. Be sure to drop in for brunch on the weekend.

I went to happy hour at Wakefield last week with a group from . It’s small and tucked away and the perfect place for an intimate conversation with total strangers: not too loud and not too crowded on a weekday evening. The kale salad(only $ 5!) from the hh menu was fabulous. Probably because it was coated in cheese and I’m a complete cheese addict. The small fried anchovies were just the right amount of fishy. Wine was good, but pricey for happy hour. They should definitely consider adding hh specials on drinks. They split our bill up by person so we didn’t have to awkwardly divide the check, and they were cool wit us moving tables after more people arrived. Overall, it’s a nice little spot to grab a drink and appetizers after work.

Good atmosphere, eclectic. Omelette good. Ham with fried eggs was good, could have been more plentiful.

Great happy hour! The chorizo sliders are spicy and full of flavor. The Wakefield Burger is huge and a meal in and of itself. The chicken wings were very meaty and delicious.(I didn’t taste chicken tikka but there was a lot of flavor.) All very delicious! The only thing I didn’t like very much were the caesar fries — they put way too much cheese on them that completely overpowered the fries. The drinks were good and the atmosphere was great. We had no problem getting a table on a Friday evening during early happy hour for a party of three. I am excited to go back and try more of their happy hour/dinner/brunch menus.

I have been here a handful of times and I am for sure a fan. I can always count on getting a well made cocktail and super good food. No exaggeration, everything I have eaten here has been really good. I love that they have a variety of things on their menu so you can always find something that suits your fancy. If you want a big bowl of spiced popcorn and a great drink, you can get that. If you want a burger and beer, this is your place. If you decide for some reason that you need to be healthy, their quinoa bowl is unbelievably good. I have not been here for brunch but I have no doubt that it will be just as delicious. I am so happy that Wakefield is in Belltown, they are a great addition to the neighborhood.

Walked into this place on a rainy Friday night, and was pleasantly surprised by the drinks and service. Really talented folks behind the bar mixing solid cocktails. Also, great selection of beers and wine. Initially service felt slow since a few tables including ours were being serves by the bartender, but it picked up midway when another server took over, who was very attentive and provided great recommendations. The only thing lacking in our visit was the flavor in the food. We got the pickle chips that were too oily, and the kale ceaser salad which was too lightly dressed. But the chicken tikka wings were pretty good and unique. Definitely recommend for a date night or small groups to start off a night out in belltown!!!

Food is great, drinks are mixed well, and a solid beer selection. Most importantly, the folks behind the bar were fantastic. I’m from San Francisco and can’t wait to come back and visit this place. Highly recommended.

The duck prosciutto made in house is amazing. I would go back for that in a minute. The cheese that came with it was a little boring. I’m not sure exactly what it was, but it tasted a little like a Manchego. The fried pickles were kind of average. They had an interesting tempura batter, but I thought they had way too much dill sprinkled on them again. I would consider them again, but I would ask for no sprinkling of dill. My biggest disappointment was the fried chicken. I had been craving a traditional fried chicken, but that’s not what you will get a wakefield. It was good but had more of a spiced batter which I wasn’t looking for. I would definitely return, but it had more of a restaurant feel than the pub food I expected.

Came in for dinner based on Unilocal reviews. Had a groups of six and we were all very happy with the decision. So much so, came in for brunch the next morning! Thomas’ food is amazing, especially the chorizo and biscuits. I’d definitely recommend this place to all!

I was totally happy with this spot. I ordered the cavatelli and sausage– it was so delicious: Cavatelli house-made fennel sausage, goat horn pepper, tomato, cream $ 13 With every penny. Food came out on time and waitress, Karina, was very attentive. Super place.

Wakefield is a gem, it’s beautiful, warm and inviting with great food. We went there for brunch(but will be going back to try the dinner/drink menus) I had the chicken and waffles with bourbon butter and it was amazing! My boyfriends dish had the sweet potato hash browns and a biscuit which were inspiring. Everything was cooked perfectly and beautifully presented, but the very best thing about the Wakefield was the staff. The chef brought out our food, hot and fresh and I think out waitress was one of the owners and she was delightful and overall we felt welcomed and comfortable. It was a perfect start to our weekend!

A clean, polished space and a solid menu of cocktails and food items, Wakefield Bar is a great place to swing by after work. :) My friends and I visited Wakefield on Friday for an early happy hour, roughly around 5PM. I was surprised with how empty it was so far — maybe I should’ve kept it a secret. ;) We decided to share the following: –Chicken Tikka Wings — Loved the seasoning of the wings! You can definitely smell/taste the resemblance to tikka masala :) This dish is great to share. –Bruschetta — The order comes with two slices topped with pesto, carrots and shallots. It was tasty, but didn’t make quite the splash in comparison to the other dishes. — Caesar Fries — If you’re lactose intolerant, be careful haha :) this dish is VERY cheesy and had a strong Parmesan taste. This is also a good dish to share. — Chorizo Sliders — Comes with two sliders, the chorizo had a pretty unique taste. The lime yogurt definitely adds a nice flavor. Definitely worth trying! — Wakefield Burger — This is probably one of the best burgers I’ve tried off of a happy hour menu. The patty was very tender and the seasoning was great — I’m guessing it’s the aioli that sold it for me. :) Would definitely come back for this! Our server/bartender was super friendly as well and was great about checking up on us, even when she was the only one who seemed to be working the floor. She recommended the Green Tea Fizz — I’m usually iffy about egg whites in drinks, but it ended up being pretty refreshing and I was pleasantly surprised. :) With a great ambience and tasty dishes, I can definitely see Wakefield Bar becoming a regular in the happy hour rotation.

Oh man, the food, the drinks, the happy hour. Go here for a real belltown experience. This is the kind of bar you want to go to when you want to avoid the problems of cap hill. Seriously, try the happy hour. It’s bomb.

Can here for drinks and enjoy some of the Seattle sun. they have a cute little patio out front that has about 10 seats. Their food menu is small but delicious. Their fries are great. Yummy. their drinks are also great as well. very well made cocktails and different liquors and ingredients that I don’t typically would think of. I’m obsessed with egg white drinks and they had a couple on there and it was very frothy. I would come back to enjoy some small bites and beverages.

My husband and I happens upon this place on our last night in Seattle. We were only meant to stay for a drink or two but ended up having an amazing dinner and conversations with our server, the chef, and another couple. Chef Thomas Dodd makes some mean mac n cheese and biscuits I will aspire to every weekend. Keep doing what your doing chef! I hope we see you again when we come back to Seattle!

Nice Belltown bar! The food and cocktail menu looked good. I had the sunrise gimlet and tried the chorizo sliders. The sliders were great! The red cabbage was a nice touch! The flavor of the cabbage was a good contrast to the meat. My friends and I really enjoyed this dish. The gimlet was tasty! We also had great service. Our server was friendly and attentive which is always a plus . Will definitely go back and try the other menu items and other cocktails!
