Fish and chips were good. Nachos tasted like the ones my dad sprinkles cheese on and throws in the microwave. NOBATHROOM.

I really wanted to like this place. Came in for lunch and ordered the cod + calamari and their cheeseburger. Then we sat outside waiting for our food, ordered to go. I was #41 and they were calling #39 by the time I paid, so I figured the wait wouldn’t be too long. After calling numbers #40−49 within the span of 20 minutes, I was getting a little confused as to how they could be calling out orders for people who ordered way after I did. They were clearly giving out receipt numbers in chronological order so I had a feeling they skipped me. Then, the man who took my order asked me what number I was, I told him it was #41, and after he spoke with a cook, they gave me a cheeseburger after 2 minutes. But I still had an order waiting for the cod + calamari, which they forgot about until I reminded them 15 minutes later that I was still waiting for it. Then they gave it to me within a minute, by that time they were calling #55. I understand that kitchens get swamped and sometimes orders just don’t get made, but it really f****** sucks when it happens to you :/ The food was alright, calamari was breaded instead of battered like the cod, tartar sauce was homemade but skimped on the portion, coleslaw was good. Bf didn’t like the cheeseburger much because of the sourdough, definitely the wrong bread for a burger. Even after this experience, I’d still probably come here for the Lappert’s or fish & chips. Just gotta make sure they know I exist…

At happy hour(3−5pm), fish and chips are only $ 4.40 for a large plate! You get two big pieces of cod, a plate of fries and coleslaw! What a deal! The cod is fried very nicely and the breading is not too thick. The fries and coleslaw are also tasty. This is definitely a meal! The service here can be a little slow and they don’t really clean up their tables so be sure to clean up after yourself. But hey, it’s worth it for $ 4.40!

One of our tour guides from our trip recommended this place during our stopover in Sausalito for some fish and chips. When we walked in, we were greeted by the server. The place had a few tables inside which seemed cozy with a colorful touch to the room. Also a menu with a bit of everything for everyone. It was reasonable pricing. We only ordered the fish and chips combo. The fishy was crispy on the outside but not overly greasy after every bite. We were quite satisfied with our meal! Then finished it with Lappert’s ice cream which was very conveniently located next door :)

Where there is water there is great fish. This place is no exception. Great fish and chips! The coleslaw was perfect too. Not too watery and tasted fresh. The prices are great too. Dh was impressed when he could order a local brew with his meal. They carry several San Francisco beers to try. The place is small and quite popular so seating is limited. We were fortunate to hit the place just as the crowds were dying down, but as we were leaving we heard some squabbling over tables. Great place to eat and the staff is great too.

I like how the cashier pretended to take my special order(bacon burger, lettuce on the side add avocado) & when I got my order it was avocado on the side & lettuce in the burger. But I was hungry so no big deal Food taste you ask… NOTASTEWHATSOEVER, I’d recommend McDonald’s more then this joint. Trust me, there’s nothing special about this place. Stick to In&Out

I have a visitor from England with me and it is very critical for me that he enjoys America’s version of Fish and Chips. Having tasted fish and chips from Pier 39, I must say this little restaurant from Sausalito did not disappoint. My visitor enjoyed his meal, the fish was fresh and came in huge portions. The coleslaw was fresh and delicious too. I recommend driving up to Sausalito to have great food from small restaurants instead of paying overpriced meals in SF

I went to this location while on vacation this past weekend. While eating in the dining area, the owner came out and told everyone to line up in a line… never wearing anything that indicated he worked there. When he saw that no one moved at his commands, he shouted to the cashier to not serve anyone until«these people learn to follow instructions». About six people were in my party… another three in another party. All of us are African — American. Other people were there of different ethnicities. The party of three immediately left I the middle of placing their orders. It should be noted that we stopped at this place on the recommendation of our tour guide. Someone in our party later asked to speak to the owner… whose name was Isaac. When we explained to him how his comments were received and perceived, his reply was«Well, you’re probably not going to come back here but I don’t care.» When we asked him if he cared about losing business, he simply said, «No.» Not only was the customer service bad and the owner extremely rude, we felt discriminated against because of our race. WESTRONGLYDONOTRECOMMENDANYONEPATRONIZINGTHISBUSINESS!!! It’s apparent he doesn’t respect people spending their hard earned money at his business.

I would love to tell you about the food here but unfortunately they had no place to wash my hands. Then when I asked about it they were rude and told me to go across the street.

The order taker was incompetent and could barely understand what I was asking for. After reconfirming 3x to make sure he understood what I was asking for, my food still came out wrong. When I asked him to fix it, one of the guys just walked away. If you consider stopping in here, just keep walking. There are plenty of other places for the same price to get better food. For the record all if wanted was a bacon cheese burger with nothing else on it. Bacon, cheese and a burger. Wrong.

So first off, the 2 star rating mostly applies to the service. The food was decent however based on the food alone I would’ve given the place 3 stars so it’s not that drastic of a difference. I went with my family to eat here after our tour bus made the stop and recommended this place for its Fish-and-Chips. Naturally, that’s what I tried ordering; I first ordered the regular Fish-and-Chips, and then asked if I could change my order to the Cod-and-Calamari. The lady at the register said okay. Remember this because it’s important later on. My mom, who has Celiac Disease, asked the lady if the tortillas for the tacos were corn or flour. She literally had no idea(not sure if she didn’t understand the question or if she didn’t know), so after it was clear that she wasn’t going to answer my mom asked some of the cooks who were at the front the same question. Literally none of them had a clue and kept looking at each other trying to figure it out. After about the 4th or 5th cook, one of them finally said it was corn. Didn’t realize it was that hard to figure out what tortillas you were using. Finally, to top it off, when we got our order I realized instead of replacing my Fish-and-Chips with the Cod-and-Calamari, the lady just put in both on our order. Nice. The food was decent, had better and had worse. But the service was horrendous and I’m usually really lenient because I understand that it’s not easy working in food business but these are just basic customer service red flags.

We decided to check this place out because we wanted fish and chips. –we were surprised this business had only 3 stars. –parking can be difficult –seating is very limited. Get food to go if it is busy and walk across to the water. –price seemed reasonable –seafood sauce was Stellar!!! Has a small spice to it if you like that sort of thing. –content with portion size –only lite beers –great place for a lunch!

#18/2016 This family-friendly restaurant with reasonable prices drew us in; they had something for all the kids and us adults. Tacos, sandwiches, salads, hamburgers, panini, battered/fried fish plus kids’ only items(hot dog, chicken tenders, grilled cheese), Fish & Chips of Sausalito is veto-proof if there’s not a clear consensus on what your group wants to eat. All the entrees were $ 8 or $ 9 which fit our budget especially when you can easily spend so much more on lunch or dinner in this tourist-heavy town loaded with expensive restaurants and galleries. We had to squeeze in at two separate tables inside, no problem since the kids could reign at their own table a few feet away. There are a few sidewalk tables outside but they were taken– it was a beautiful spring day. Service was quick, perfunctory and not super-friendly but the food was good except for the onion rings that were thin and burnt. Get the fish & chips because they were perfectly crispy and hot. They also had little packets of malt vinegar that put it over the top. Food & service were good(rounding up to 4 stars instead of 3) but the floor was filthy as were corners of the walls. The food prep area looked clean though(whew). Food: 4.5 stars Service: 3.3 stars Cleanliness: 2.7 stars No restroom for customers: negative 3

Don’t waste your money. Ehh… Sausalito Panini, lousy burger. Wobbly table lead to an entire beer spilling. Seemed like a big hassle for them to come and clean it up. No replacement of course. Meanwhile the cook was screaming out«number» to pick up the order. Really dude, we’re the only people in here.

cute, convenient if you just want to have something casual and easy. they are located right across from the Ferry and also there are few tables outside for you to sit and eat your Icelandic Cod Fish while you watching the tourists on their bicycles coming from San Francisco huffing and puffing trying to catch up with their breath. to make a better experience, you should give the tourists a standing ovation each time you see them while you stuffing that tourists trap fish & chips in your mouth. but it’s not a bad tourist trap, fish is a fish.

This place is REALLY cute. Honestly, it was an alternative to Fish. which had a line out the booty and my man and I were starving after hiking Muir Woods. We both ordered the fish and chips with calamari. The tartar sauce was really good! Fish had the right amount of batter and perfectly fried. Location is cute, it overlooks the water with lots of foot traffic. Parking can be a b-word if you come during busy hours. There’s also a connected ice cream shop which has killer sundaes for cheap prices!

A nice relaxing ferry ride across the bay from San Francisco lands you in Sausalito. What’s in Sausalito? Shops, restaurants, lots and lots of yachts and some breathtaking views of the bay and the SF city skyline. This place is not so much a restaurant as it is a «stand» so set your expectations accordingly. They do have a few tables inside, but your best bet is to try and snag a table out front and enjoy Al Fresco dining while taking in the views. The fish and chips here was good. You get a couple of nice sized pieces of fried fish with a pile of fries, good coleslaw and housemade tartar sauce. My wife’s Panini with turkey, bacon and avocado came with a garlic aioli that she said was good. I approached the counter to see if I could get a side of it to dip my fries in and they obliged. Between the tartar sauce and this aioli, they seem to know to make a sauce and, to me, that can complete a dish. Wash it all down with a cold Anchor Steam. Their name suggests, simply, what they do… and do it right.

The cashier guy was cute! Haha we went around 6:30pm to eat dinner. there wasn’t a lot of people cos they mostly order food to go. We ordered their famous fish and chips, a side of onion rings and a chicken avocado sandwich. The fish and chips wasn’t very impressive. The fish was a little soggy and the breading lacked spices. The tartar sauce, however, was flavorful and refreshing. The«chips» were actually fries. But you can order a side of original chips for $ 3.50 + tax. The onion rings were delicious. Served hot with a ranch dip for $ 3.50. The chicken avocado sandwich was delicious! The melted cheese was sooooo delicious! One bite and it’ll make you finish it all! The combination of flavors in this sandwich was just genius. It tastes fresh and hot! I suggest adding a dash of jalapeño sauce on it for a kick! This sandwich comes with a side of coleslaw and it’s delicious too! Green and purple Cabbages chopped fresh topped with mayo dressing.
