Very delicious food and big portions! We came for brunch on a Saturday morning and got the scone platter to share. The scones were amazing and the honey butter was the perfect topping. This is definitely a must stop for breakfast or brunch!

Oh… oh my. This place is fantastic! Definitely one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. The wait to get seated was quite lengthy on a Saturday morn, and once seated, the wait for food even longer. Definitely worth it. Their house coffee is delicious. The omelets are big, hearty, and crazy fluffy. The pancakes are super delicious, especially their cinnamon roll pancakes! The only things that disappointed where the toast, which came out rock hard, and the bacon, which was just bleh. I’ll absolutely be coming back here!

I stopped in on a Monday(holiday day) to get breakfast; after walking out on the long wait on Sunday morning. I expected breakfast to be off-the-charts good, but while my omelet was tasty, I’ve had better elsewhere. It does have charm, and friendly service, and I think if you have a special occasion this is a nice choice. Otherwise, I was a bit underwhelmed.

Great food, lacks space though, and the service can be slow especially on weekend mornings. It is a tad overpriced in my book though likely the best breakfast place in town.

The absolutely best, first choice place in Saratoga Springs to have breakfast, lunch or brunch! Fantastically good in every way! They start with nothing but totally fresh, top quality ingredients. For example, each time I have had their Classic Omelette, the spinach, tomato and mushroom fillings I chose could each have stood on their own as tasty entrees. The preparation matches the raw materials. Our warm, friendly and attentive server, Cathy, conveyed my request for a very soft omelette to the kitchen precisely and the result was exactly what I wanted. The lemon ricotta pancakes that my wife has had were magically both light and rich, with the two flavors balanced just right. Of course, adding the locally sourced pure maple syrup or homemade blueberry sauce does no harm! The specials are always enticing. We have had some wonderful, moist salmon, served on robust and flavorful sour dough bread. The bottomless mug of coffee is outstanding, especially the dark roast that we like. The menu is extremely varied — in fact, comprehensive — and the prices are completely reasonable, especially given the generous size of the portions. Everything is obviously prepared on the spot from scratch so you know that whatever your preference it will arrive perfectly cooked and seasoned. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. In short, go to Sweet Mimi’s! You will be very happy, with your only regret being that you cannot return for dinner.

We decided to try Sweet Mimi’s today for brunch, it was my first time and I was impressed. The food was delicious and the restaurant was cute, cozy, and clean. I had the special, cinnamon roll pancakes and added a side of homefries. My boyfriend had the bacon pancakes and added a side of eggs and toast. The pancakes were huge and just as good as they sound, I only ate half of mine but luckily my boyfriend was able to finish them off! His bacon pancakes were awesome too! We both left happy and full. Prices were decent as well, not too expensive, average for the location and we had no complaints about our service.

Finally got back here yesterday! Brought a friend that’s visiting from out of town and he fell in love with the place. I had tried to go again a few weeks ago, but the wait was too long(we had to be somewhere… otherwise I don’t mind a wait…). The experience yesterday was just as good as the first visit. This time I tried the«sweet» option instead of savory. I went nuts on the Cinnamon Swirl Pancakes. Dude. These are the BOMB! They’re served with a huge… i mean HUGE dollop of homemade whipped cream. Two giant, fluffy pancakes with a rich, sweet, cinnamon situation between them. Drizzle of glaze on top. Ridiculous. Sugar Coma. Fan-friggin-tastic. My friends both had the egg nog baked french toast served with cherry compote. Gigantic portion — lovely presentation… they both raved about it. Coffee was excellent. Service was great. My friend can’t wait to go back the next time he’s in town. Thrilled to see that Sweet Mimi’s is doing well, too! There was a steady stream of people and tables were turning over and quickly getting replaced with fresh, hungry peeps.

We live about 10 minutes away from Saratoga and Sweet Mimi’s. It has become our favorite place for breakfast or brunch with our family. The food is far superior to other options in Saratoga due to the quality of ingredients used and the unique and skilled preparations. My advice? When in doubt, order one of the specials! They are always fantastic but the lemon ricotta pancakes and huevos rancheros are always fall back favorites too. Expect to wait for a table on the weekends, pop in early and put your name on the list, take a walk and come back. Or sit at the front counter or patio with a cup of coffee. As other reviews have stated, this place does take their time to prepare your food. If you want diner slung pancakes by the millions go somewhere else and you will have it in 15 mins or less. If you want your egg whites whipped before entering the batter which is made in small batches to ensure all those millions of little tiny air bubbles stay in there making your pancakes almost float off the plate, come here, sip coffee(their coffee is really good) and calm down. We come with a 3 year old and a 1 year old and even they manage to keep it together long enough to wait for the food. The staff is really accommodating and will do anything they can to make it an experience you will be back for.

The good: food tastes good, atmosphere is pleasant. The bad: Very slow. Both the staff and the kitchen took forever. It took at least ten minutes before someone asked for drink orders and another ten at least before we ordered food from when we first sat down. We ordered pancakes and a bacon sausage sandwich. It took over 45 minutes to get our food. Keep in mind the place is rather small with a seemingly big enough staff to accommodate it’s small size. Overall it was a two hour adventure. A thirty minute wait with an hour and a half in the restaurant. For a small restaurant I can not understand why it took so long to get food. If you want to spend the morning socializing with friends this place is great! If you want to drop in for a quick good meal look elsewhere.

While some items on the menu are typical breakfast fare – my daughter’s pancake was good, but nothing special – Sweet Mimi’s does have creative and interesting dishes if you’re looking for something other than the same old, same old for breakfast. The coffee was good, and I liked the oversized porcelain mug it was served in. My sausage, egg, cheese, and biscuit sandwich was quite good. A large flavorful sausage patty, with two over-easy eggs, whose glorious golden yolks ran all over the plate when I cut into them. The biscuit made for a tasty sponge to soak up those yolks. It’s not really a sandwich though, it’s definitely a fork and knife affair. My wife’s challah french toast was very good as well, and it came with a fantastic strawberry sauce. She really liked the fruit cup she ordered, it was fresh, and had a good selection of fruit. I get that everything is made from scratch and they’re using quality ingredients, which drives up costs, but Mimi’s is pricey. In my opinion some items on the menu are more expensive than they should be. That makes Mimi’s more of a special treat, than a regular stop.

Staff was extremely personable and the atmosphere is great. I myself got just a bacon, egg, and cheese, and I can honestly say it was the best breakfast sandwich I’ve had in Saratoga and the surrounding areas. My girlfriend got the ‘Saratoga Sandwhich’ and agreed on the quality. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for breakfast food, and will definitely be returning.

Sooooo, the food is very good and well thought out. The staff is attentive. Here’s the problem; a breakfast place without egg whites is not really a breakfast place. Nor is it a place that will cater to specific dietary requests. Other than what is mentioned above I like the place. *** — — UPDATE — –*** Everyday is a new beginning. We went back the following day after the response from the owner. Everything and everyone was beyond exceptional! The egg whites were the best ever! To summarize I believe a successful business listens to learn new things every day. I look forward to coming back often. Thank you!

I stopped here for lunch one time and it was great. A year later, passing through Saratoga Springs, decided to get off the highway and stop again. Good spot for a bite of lunch or a pastry.

Great food… not great service. We always end up waiting forever on drinks, silverware. … The good food is not worth the service, in my opinion.

We were so looking forward to this breakfast based on the reviews. We got there as soon as they opened, were 2nd to order and by the time the people who came in with us left, the entire restaurant had been served except for us. My husband ordered the special and I assume that’s what took so long. A 45 minute wait with no explanation wasn’t appreciated. By the time we ate, my hot chocolate(which just tasted like steamed milk, no chocolate at all) was ice cold and had a cream skin on the top. Blech! We were never checked on, no apology that it took forever, nothing. The food was decent but nothing we’d return for even without the wait and not for that price. We weren’t the only ones having a bad experience. I heard several people have to completely rethink what they were going to order because they were out of 6 different things and this is just after they opened! I felt bad for the lady beside us who had to change her order 4x.

Adorable little café that’s just off the main drag in Saratoga Springs. I didn’t dine in here, but rather, my mother and I had decided to get some sandwiches to go. She got their roasted veggie sandwich with a soup and I got their caprese sandwich with a side salad. Our food was great: large portions and fresh ingredients at a reasonable price point. Wish I had gotten one of their sweets to go as well. Would definitely want to come back here to try out some of their baked goods if I’m ever back in Saratoga Springs.

We’ve been here many time and I love the Roman breakfast any pancake. Really you can’t go wrong with anything here. The staff is friendly. It’s just a few blocks from our house so it a Saratoga favorite. Come early there is usually a line. Well worth the wait though.

Oh my goodenss. I ate the Chocolate Chip pancakes with the Nutella Mousse. I was in heaven. It was beautifully plated, so well every waitress that walked by asked when the plating had changed, because it looked so pretty. And the waitress even thought that trying a chocolate or espresso balsamic reduction on it in the future could be a winning combination, because there was a LOT of sugar, but it was still fantastic tasting as is. A place that has amazing food and still taking suggestions? That’s a place I’ll return to again and again.

Why i like this place. –They will greet you with a warm hello and offer you coffee right at the counter if there is a wait. –This place satisfies your craving for Buttermilk pancakes. –Sausage is amazing. –They have a great menu –I liked the coffee –I actually felt like I was having brunch at a cozy establishment outside of the capital region.(They need to offer bottomless mimosas) One note: The dining area is rather small,(cozy baby) and i’m sure the owners did some finagling to make the tables/seating work to fit as many people as possible without sacrificing comfort. However, it sucks for the waitresses because they can’t move two steps in any direction without getting inundated with requests from people who are looking directly at them. For that reason, if you aren’t in their direct line of sight,(outer tables) you might be getting slower service. But who cares, did I mention they have really kick-ass pancakes?

I am neither a brunch eater no a sweet breakfast lover so had not tried Sweet Mimi’s, but was lured in during Restaurant Week and I’m glad. Chef Jeanette(Mimi is her daughter) is totally in control in the kitchen, with a sure hand on eggy specialties and also the producer of some excellent baked goods. The space is MUCH bigger than it appears from the street and seats maybe 30 customers… just right for one industrious cook with a limited menu. Don’t miss the constantly changing cookie assortment in the display case up front… beautiful and tempting. The overall atmosphere was warm and pleasant on a frigid day, with good conversation being enjoyed at other tables and some non-obtrusive egg-friendly music. I sometimes have lunch meetings and will be back to enjoy this pleasant establishment and its good food.

I came here for lunch the other day for restaurant week with a friend. The staff was very nice and the food was great. I got a BLT, turkey chili and a cookie for $ 10(restaurant week lunch special) – all delicious. It was slow, but also crowded for such a small place. We ended up having to take the food back to our office, but I will definitely be back when I have more time.
