Based on the great reviews and the full parking lot every time I drive by my expectations were high. My son and I stopped midmorning so we had the choice of breakfast or lunch. Given the choice my son chose a deep-fried meal, chicken strips, fries and chocolate milk. Myself I saw some creative named breakfast items so I chose something called«Maytag-Eggs». This is smashed baked potato skins covered in MayTag bleu cheese sauce, bacon and eggs cooked to your liking then topped with Sriracha sauce. Sounded good to me but it was actually plain tasting. I guess the MayTag Bleu Cheese overwhelmed the taste of everything else. As far as the ambiance, triangle is a small place with booths along one wall and a bar top counter seating area on the opposite wall. Its not the cleanest place maybe because it needs a makeover. One piece of advice, don’t sit in the booths near the entrance. Any overflow, anybody waiting stands in the enclosed area near the entrance. This waiting area has a window, so you may end up staring eye to eye with the patrons waiting to be seated. So maybe I just chose the wrong menu item to try on my first visit, but overall I don’t see the attraction, this is just another average diner.

Stopped by while just driving through. Some really creative dishes. I tried the poached eggs with cashew pesto over mozzarella and garlic bread. The hash browns were not my favorite but it’s just a different style than I’m used to, not a bad thing.

This popular local diner reminds me why I’ll always enjoy the combo of a plain cup of joe with a simple American breakfast. Growing up in the South, I know when you find an outdated diner that serves breakfast, it’s a guaranteed cheap and uncomplicated meal you will forget as soon as you leave, but the Triangle Diner pleasantly surprised me with their unique spin on a variety of outstanding breakfast and lunch options. I didn’t expect a 5-star meal, but I was intrigued when I reviewed their«specials menu», and luckily found some memorable gems I’d soon make my favorites here. Try their Crabcake Benedict, and you can thank me when you meet me. Typical to most breakfast/lunch diners, once I entered the Triangle Diner for the first time, my nostrils were filled with the smell of fresh brewed coffee paired with the unmistakable smell of a greasy flat-top grill. It’s right then you know you’ve hit the«diner jackpot» for a quick and straightforward meal, but Triangle Diner offers at least a dozen of weekly specials, that often make me reconsider if I’m in a diner or an actual upscale breakfast café. Their breakfast options are generous, inexpensive, and always served quickly with a smile. Unfortunately, one look around and I realize it’s actually a typical diner. The outdated décor, limited seating, and circular attached bar stools tells me I’m in a diner, as its long overdue for some updates. The parking situation doesn’t need to be repeated as it’s been mentioned countless times in past reviews. Expect a long wait on the weekends, especially Sunday afternoons, but I can assure you it’s worth the wait. For anyone who knows me, breakfast is unquestionably my favorite meal a day, and the Triangle Diner is one of my favorite stops for a quick and hearty breakfast. You’ll most likely see me shoveling a hot breakfast in my mouth on a bar stool like Adam Richman in an eating contest — it’s that good. See you there!

Decent breakfast, Pat always remembers you, after the 2nd visit… Most of the waitstaff and kitchen staffs are… his daughters!

Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing but I was not satisfied at all. The place was packed and we had to wait. I ordered a sandwich and it didn’t have any flavor. I’m not sure how they went wrong with just a sandwich. Their French fries weren’t very good either. The only good thing was the hot chocolate(I ordered 2) and my boyfriend liked his food. The staff was also very nice. But, just not worth the wait.

Great breakfast/brunch. Excellent value. Very crowded on weekends though. Pancakes were huge, had a plateful, but one would have been more than sufficient. We tried a couple of the breakfast specials which were terrific.

This is hands down the best place for breakfast in Saratoga. That’s a bold statement considering all of the options in Saratoga, but it’s 100% true. Being a college student in South Carolina but a Saratoga native, I make it a point to come here every time I’m home at least once(if not twice) Great corned beef hash and great service! The owners are fantastic.

This right here is what can be successfully described as high end breakfast place(and lunch) the food is excellent, lots of great ideas, forward thinking culinarans took over this regular dinner a few Years ago. Scratch cooking. Parking can be a problem. Prices should be higher really.

I’ll be honest… I’ve actually avoided the Triangle Diner for the last several years. Reason? I thought it was just a greasy spoon diner. I’ve been to some really crappy greasy spoons over the years and paid the piper for such activity. I was talked into going by several people in the last day and a half… and I feel like a fool. What’s wrong with me? Let me count the ways. But I digress… this place is serious. Phenomenal breakfast at awesome prices. I had eggs served in a waffle bowl with a side of perfectly cooked and spiced hash browns. This was on the specials menu — which was extensive, by the way. I didn’t expect that(the awesome list of specials!!). There were so many creative and cool things to choose from… but I needed to experience a waffle in a bowl form. My companions had the special bread pudding and eggs dish along with the Maytag(blue cheese sauce) served over potato skins and eggs with bacon. Oh — and spicy siracha sauce. Holy decadence, batman. We all loved what we ordered. Coffee was great. Service was super friendly and the refills on coffee(and water) were timely. The place does get packed, but it’s worth the wait… if there is one. I’m impressed and will definitely be back.

LOVED this place! I got lucky and was able to take a seat at the counter as soon as I arrived, since it was just me. I understand that if it is busy you could have a little bit of a wait. But, the service is pretty quick, so the tables move over pretty quickly too. I had the Irish hash and it was soooo good :) I would definitely recommend stopping by this place if you are in the area. Who can beat diner food? Try it!

We were in Saratoga Springs for a few days and wanted the local spot to eat breakfast. WOWDIDWEFINDIT! This charming diner was jam packed(which is always a good sign in my book). We waited for about 10 minutes for 3 spots at the counter. Were immediately greeted and had our drink orders taken. Friendly, helpful and sincere — the staff is truly an all star team. My daughter had pancakes and bacon. She said they didn’t even need syrup because that’s how good it was(it was also massive — she ate 1⁄3 of one) I made my own omelet(due to dietary restrictions) was delicious and perfectly cooked. My spouse had country fried steak, eggs, hash browns and toast and he was very, very satisfied. We will def be back for a truly delicious, reasonably costing breakfast. Thanks Triangle Diner!

I had a Delicious omelette today. This place has much more style and selection than you would expect from this otherwise no frills diner. Highly recommend.

GOHEREFORBREAKFAST!!! Sorry, I didn’t mean to shout but dang man, THIS is a diner. Friendly staff, good food and great prices. We would’ve gone twice but they were closed for Jen’s wedding and we got it on our way out of town. I got the pancakes and sausage patties. Heavenly! So hard to find good pancakes anymore that aren’t flat as… well. I guess I should say hard to find fluffy pancakes. The hubby got the French Toast Club which isn’t on the printed menu but after we asked about it she assured us it was still available and mentioned it to other patrons when they came in as one of the specials. If we ever come back, this is definitely on our list! Much better experience than the fru fru place we went the day before.

We’ve been trying to get to the Triangle Diner ever since we started hearing from others how good it was. Now, this is no easy task since their hours are 6 am to 2 pm, my wife still works weekdays, and I don’t roll out of bed until quite late. But today all the planets aligned, Tantalus was banished from over our heads, while Hestia and Deipneus led our path to TD45 minutes before they closed. At this hour on a Thursday, there was plenty of seating. Our server was friendly and said more than«Hello. The coffee was much better than probably any other diner we’ve been to($ 1.30/ bottomless cup w/o asking). A separate menu sheet listed more than 20 additional breakfast dishes and 6 lunch offerings. We skipped lunch and the standard menu and both went directly to the more creative sounding breakfast dishes. My wife went with the California Benedict($ 9.95) — avocado, tomato, poached eggs, on a toasted English muffin, with Hollandaise, and served with home fries. Everything was perfectly prepared and it was a real winner. The home fries were exceptionally enjoyable. My choice was Smoked Salmon, Asparagus, Capers, Two Eggs($ 12.95) over easy, topped with Hollandaise and served with the same delicious home fries and a grilled blueberry muffin. This was a WOW breakfast for me. It looked beautiful and I thought I’d never be able to eat all of it at one sitting. But it was sooo delicious and enjoyable that«I can’t believe I ate the whole thing.» During our drive home I kept trying to think of when I had last had such an enjoyable breakfast. Flavors, textures, aroma, and presentation, they all had me repeating, «This is the absolute best breakfast that I can recall.» If I could find anything to complain about it would be that the forks were too small. I wanted to enjoy larger portions with each bite. I’m giving thanks to those Greek Gods for this delicious day!

Came here during racing season. LOVED the atmosphere and people watching. The food was good. We were here for breakfast. The portions were big. I’ve had better corned beef hash but it wasn’t bad here. PROS: Atmosphere Irish Breakfast(poached eggs with corned beef hash & hollandaise sauce) CONS: Long waits during peak times

I was in the area and realized I needed a nice diner cheeseburger… cooked on the griddle with crispy edges. This one did the trick beautifully. I was there just before noon and managed to slip in and get a counter spot between the breakfast crush and the noon rush. Lots of Pink Sheets in evidence as the downstate toffs fuel up for the afternoon at the Saratoga Race Course, yet the hardworking staff didn’t miss a beat. A fine diner experience.

Triangle Diner is a «real American diner,» one of those places that sadly doesn’t really exist anymore. It’s the kind of place where hard workers come to eat breakfast, where Obama and Biden eat during their presidential races, and where families come to enjoy hearty breakfasts. This place gets super busy on weekends. Even from 9 am onward, there is usually a wait. Service is pretty good considering they’re hammered. When I left around 10:30 am, there was a long line curling out the vestibule into the parking lot, devote followers of the Triangle religion of dining. Now, how about the food? One thing I noticed is that the entrees here are HUGE! For $ 8 – 12, you’ll get enough food to feed an entire family. Our table was full of big eaters and not a single one of us could finish our respective entrée. I ordered the country fried steak and eggs and received: a slab of steak the size of a book, two eggs, a «healthy» serving of French fries, and two slices of raisin toast. Quality is pretty good — I’m not a breakfast eater myself and I enjoyed my food immensely. They will also ask you exactly how you want everything done and will cook it to that doneness, which is great. The other thing about the menu is that there are some interesting breakfast dishes that tend toward the sweet side. The chef does have a sweet tooth and it comes out in her choices on her menu. Triangle Diner transports you to the land of old America where things were great, generous, and simple. I’d come again and hope you’ll try it out too.

Driving up to here, you realize that parking is going to be difficult at best. The name Triangle Diner, I think come from the fact that it is located on a triangle. I managed to squeeze into a parking spot out front. Walking in, I was greeted warmly by the hostess. My party of four had to wait till we were all there, as is there policy before being sat,. Not a huge deal, as there was no room at the inn, so to speak. Service, when we got seated, was ok. I do understand that they were very busy when we were there, but we were not given water glasses,(I had to ask for mine and my daughter’s-more in a minute.) The waitress didn’t inform us of any specials and seemed to take an awful long time to come back. When I was able to ask for a glass of water for myself and my daughter, it took almost five minutes for her to come back with it, during which I only saw her once and that was to clean a table. We were never offered a refill on our water either. Again, I do understand being busy. Onto the food. The food was what saved this from being a two star review. It is so difficult to find real corn beef hash any more and the Triangle serves it up just wonderfully. It had chunks of onions and potatoes in it and was cooked just right. The toast I had was on homemade bread that I think that they called it Texas Toast.(It was very noisy and I was not able to hear my waitress.) My scrambled eggs were also cooked right, not runny or overcooked. My daughter had a huge belgian waffle with strawberries on it. The waffle was light and fluffy. I will, without question, try this restaurant again. Hopefully on a less busy morning.
