Roma! You are definitely doing it right. My husband was stationed here three years ago and would grab his lunch subs from here. Today, well he finally took me for my first experience. You walk in and smell goodness. So much stuff not just Italian goods. I’m middle eastern and they have a range of Mediterranean canned goods from seasoned eggplant, beans, hummus and a ton of Goya products. We passed by the fridges which had lobster ravioli, spinach ravioli and a lot more. I was more interested in seeing pesto variations and didn’t see any but it’s a pretty big store. Smoked turkey sub with bacon added and fresh mozzarella ($ 8.25+ tax). INCREDIBLE! They don’t skimp on anything. I loved our experience and we will be visiting a lot more often.

A friend recommended their Italian to go meals. I have to preset this review with the fact that I am Italian and every Italian is a self proclaimed foodie. I figured I love Italian food, why not give it a whirl? I was not very impressed with the Lasagna to go meal. It left much to be desired. We may give it a try again, judging by the reviews the subs are the way to go.

The freshly filled chocolate shell cannolis are to die for! I love that they ask you if you want powdered sugar on them. Can’t wait to try their subs. I can tell they are serious about quality ingredients and stock good products in their store. I bought some shredded mozzarella that I used in baked ziti– yum!

One of my favorite stops in Saratoga! Authentic and plentiful Italian deli. If you can’t find it here, it’s not Italian! Ha!

I have purchased my lunch here over 15 times over the past year.
It is hands down the best sandwich place in New York State.

Best prosciutto sub I’ve ever had. The imported prosciutto is freshly sliced and carefully folded and placed on your wedge so that every bite has a very generous amount of prosciutto. It’s melt-​in-​your-​mouth amaaaazing. With an ingredient of such great quality, you don’t need much else on the sub other than some mozz cheese and oil and vinegar (lettuce and tomato is also nice but not necessary). GET IT ON A WEDGE. Those wedges looks like subway quality from afar but once you’re holding that baby in your hands about to go in for your first bite, you see that you were very wrong. It tastes like they were fresh-​baked locally — soft pillowy bread with just the right amount of chew. These guys know how to make a good sub.

They should charge for the smell when you walk in the door… redolent of all things oily, vinegary and peppery. And you may have to stand in line awhile, so enjoy it. Roma has the world’s best Italian Mix sub which should be enjoyed with a substitute of domestic sharp for regular provolone and oil and vinegar dressing. While you’re here, stock up on dried herbs (they’re on the shelves in the shopping area as well as in the service area) and Italian grocery items… it’s all good.
If you’re a frequent shopper like me, buy a gift card that takes 10% off your order. And check out the specials around Super Bowl, Thanksgiving and other religious holidays… you can’t go wrong.

Best subs and sandwiches. No place else compares! Lots of meat, friendly, fast service. The Genoa salami with the natural casing is the best. Try it and you’ll never buy elsewhere again. Glad I live nearby.

Or just around Saratoga, as the case may be. It looks like the popularity of this place has gone through the roof since the last time I was here. The sandwich I had from here was good, but it wasn’t really a 5 star experience according to my notes or fading memories.
I’ll be going to Saratoga again soon (which is exciting, since it’s gorgeous up here), so I’ll definitely give it another try then and see if all of these glowing reviews are a reflection of an increase in quality, or if I’m just doomed to sell my body to the night like Roxanne for the rest of my life.

Don’t come here thinking you’re gonna get pampered.
DO come here if you want some of the freshest ingredients and best selection in town. Wherever you are in the area, it’s worth the drive to get a sandwich from these guys. I recommend calling ahead so you don’t have to fight the counter line (elbows have been thrown).
I got a wrap the last time and it was excellent. Highly recommended!

Amazing meat selection for fresh cut sandwiches. The olives are great and come with every sandwich. The sandwiches are a good size with plenty of meat for any starving fool. They just happen to care my favorite hot sauce from San Diego.

Best subs in the area. Quality meats, cheeses & bread. The roast beef is amazing. It has the true flavor of beef that has been roasted and it isn’t bogged down in seasoning like so many other sandwich places do.
The market section of the deli bores me and the lasagna and meatballs are good but not impressive.

We tried Roma Importing Co this week and it was awesome! The subs are huge for the price and you get a great deal.
People are not kidding when they talk about the size of the subs and the service is quick and easy.
It reminds me more of a Long Island deli which makes me extremely happy since I havent found one in the area yet!

Wow, these subs are awesome! I got the fresh mozzarella sub with tomato and lettuce and it was amazing. The cheese was so fresh, I was actually surprised. My girlfriend got a BLT, and the bacon was so flavorful and thick, and thankfully not microwaved. The interior has a feel of a typical NY deli, but also includes a small market of Italian goods. My girlfriend was able to find snacks she has only seen in Italy. This is a definite stop if you’re feeling hungry and passing through Saratoga Springs on I87. I can’t wait to go back.
