Wonderful shop in downtown Saratoga Springs. Amazing, fragrant, luscious honeys infused with fruit and flower and even chocolate! Absolutely fresh and delicious. Try the mango and the orange blossom. I highly recommend the cinnamon honey as well. Tiny tasting spoons are available for your previewing pleasure! Very creative tea concoctions which smell wonderful. I can’t wait to try them all!

A great Honey place, I mean GREAT!!! very knowledgeable Staff, the tea section is fantastic, like all the great selections, no rush, some mentioned they should have tables, I digress, tables would simply invite people to «hang there» taking away oxygen … the bar tables are just right, comfortable for 20 minutes, then you move on, very nice World wide selection of Teas, even a small store section for tea stuff.

Great tea and service! I only wish they had some tables and chairs in addition to the bar to be able to talk/hang out while sipping all the teas!

What an utterly charming place. Tea shops can be snobby, stuffy and stiff, but the atmosphere here was just the opposite: despite the high quality of the tea, honey and accessories(and the accompanying price range) the staff was genuinely helpful without a hint of pretension. We tasted several kinds of flavored and natural honey before settling on their sourwood, which is hands down the best honey I have ever had: it’s hard to describe, but had a savory flavor behind the sweetness that gave it incredible depth and richness. On our way to the register I was tickled by the idea of a growler full of tea, so I asked what was available at the counter. The barista(tea-ista?) was kind enough to let me sample several kinds before deciding, and when he went to fill the growler there was not quite enough, so he made another small batch just for us! It was delicious and such a unique gift for my mom, who watched our animals while we were away. While we waited, we chatted with the gentleman behind the bar, admired the ingenious shelving system and the gleaming metal urns in which the tea was stored, and got to sniff several of his favorite blends. With more time we would have loved to look at the many tea-related goodies in the rest of the shop, but as it was we had to keep our visit short and sweet. Still, it was a wonderful time and if we’re ever in Saratoga again I’m sure we’ll be back.

Awesome shop! Why is it awesome? Come in for a taste test of all the tea they are selling and all the honey. Picked up a cup of their green tea with honey and it was very refreshing especially during a hot summer day.

This new store by the owners of the Saratoga Olive Oil Co. highlights a wide variety of honeys and teas. They serve several varieties of iced and hot tea, rotating the specialty varieties into the mix.

What a great shop! The quality of the honey is fabulous and the fact that you can taste test as much honey as you like is quite AWESOME! The staff is extremely helpful and there are so many tastings you can do. They even have chocolate honey! Personally, I stick with the beautiful simplicity of the Saratoga Springs Wild Flower Honey. I love honey, I hope to one day have bees. There is nothing better than pairing cheese and honey. This store certainly opens up the options for a variety of pairings. Now if the Cheese Traveler was just next door! Must Try: Flavored Honey Saratoga Wild Flower Honey

I was an assistant to a honey bee farmer for 10 years in the Middlesex Bee Association in Mass. While in Saratoga Springs, I visited the Saratoga Tea and Honey Shop on Broadway. I do not have enough superlatives to describe the fabulous qualityof the honey, Alex’s store has for sale. The opportunity to experience the culture of honey should not be missed. It will not be by this way forever. It is certainly worth the visit to taste the honey if you are in the area. Peter Baker Watertown, MA

What a beautiful store! Just design alone merits a store visit. The store looks like something out of Soho or San Francisco’s Union Street. They have a great selection of teas, some of them you can sample right there. There is a bar seating area but I haven’t sit there and haven’t looked at the menu — maybe next time. I was delighted to find my favorite Gyokuro green tea! It’s a bit pricey but it’s the best. I used to order it from David’s teas from Canada — no need to drive to the post office to sign for packages anymore! I also picked up some very aromatic blend of black/green + rose petals + bergamot. They call it Madam Katrina as a nod to Saratoga’s elegant heritage. It smells so delicious that I could almost forgive the orthographic flub. In the back of the store — honey galore. I sampled about six or seven varieties(some of them are quite exotic, e.g. mango infused honey) and selected tupelo. The staff was friendly but no one rushed to me even though I was the only customer in the store. I didn’t mind wondering unattended though. Tea is tea, and honey is honey. See it, smell it, taste it – what’s not to love?
