Tofu Pad Thai is a must accompanied by fresh spring rolls. Red Curry Chicken is also a great choice. Well, so is everything else on the menu. Family atmosphere and great staff who always know my name. Everything else on the menu is made fresh and you won’t be disappointed. Tables up front but you can sit in a quiet booth to the far right of the entrance.

Traveling from out of town and chose Thai Wasabi because of the great reviews on Unilocal. This place was exactly what myself and my family was looking for and we were very pleased. We ordered: Fried spring rolls, seaweed salad, spicy tuna roll, bubba roll(excellent), chicken cashew nut stir fry and pad Thai. My family and I are all walking away very happy and would recommend this place to all! We love the atmosphere and the homey feeling we got from the family running the business!

I have only been here for lunch — the food is great and prices are very reasonable. The coconut soup that comes with lunch is amazing!

I always come here, they have the best sushi, and the best soups! It’s always quiet and relaxing when my husband and I come in. The ulala is the best!

I’ve tried 4 or so different places for Thai in Sarasota and Thai Wasabi has definitely been the best. We got take out and had: –Fried spring roll –Fresh summer roll –Gyoza –Pad thai with tofu –Red curry chicken All that for less than $ 35! We are a little spoiled living in the NYC area and having access to lots of delicious ethnic food; we were pleasantly surprised by the perfectly balanced heat in the red curry. Nowhere else in the area we’ve tried was able to get that right, everything was always too mild. Can’t wait to come back next time we’re in the area!

This is a really good restaurant for Thai food. Their sushi does not taste vey fresh. But their pad thai is the best I’ve ever had. I also like their ginger w tofu or panaang curry with beef.

Friendly faces, this is the Burger King of Thai food. It never sits right with me and I can’t justify eating here with so many other options in he area that offer a more authentic meal.

As I write this I just finished my meal that I waited an hour. We were seated the the cold back of the restaurant even though there were tables own in the front, it was like they didn’t want us to be seen. While we waited our hour wait for the food I visited the dirty bathroom and got no refill on my water. And by the way the«wasabi» costs one dollar extra that’s kinda ironic for a restaurant the has wasabi in its name.

Once again, a long over-dated review. Everything was great! We started off with the Chicken Satay, and it was great, and the peanut sauce was perfect.. My wife had the Panang Curry, which was outstanding, and I had the Pad Kemao. I asked for thai hot, and it was. Just an excellent flavor explosion.

Excellent for both dine in and take out. Dine in tables are spaced out kind of odd which is why I’m deducting a star but the food is fantastic and consistent after multiple visits. Fresh Spring Rolls with Peanut Sauce are delicious!!!

Reasonably priced thai food and sushi. This is a great lunch stop as they have a pretty good menu selection and their sushi lunch special can’t be beat. There isn’t a lot of seating available so make sure you stop by early.

I absolutely love there pad thai. I think out of all that Thai restaurants in Sarasota Thai Wasabi has the best. The lunch special is reasonably priced at only $ 8 and you get a good sized portion.

I’ve been here a few times and the food is always good. Today I had the ulala sushi, this item alone is enough to give this place 5 stars. AMAZING! Perfectly made sushi. I can’t wait to have it again :)

Had lunch here today. pleasant atmosphere where the locals come in and get lunch. HAd the pad thai. just the right enough of heat. Enough to clear ur sinuses but not make u sweat like a pig. Just go outside into the FL heat n humidity if u want that. Server was prompt and attentive. dumpling soup w eggroll appetizer was fresh and tasty.

Well this is a great find. Had the Thai but was actually impressed by the quality and selection of the Sushi. Reasonably priced and they carry beers and Saki. The lettuce wraps where as good as P. F Chang’s. Service was friendly & attentive. Place is small but the atmosphere is quaint for a shopping center.

I like Thai Wasabi a lot because they have very yummy spring rolls and great fresh sushi. We always get takeout and no matter how much food we order they always say«give us fifteen minutes.» They are a wonderful option for when we get out of work late and we are hungry and we want to eat now!

I’ll just start with the bad so I can end on a positive note. I think I’ve gone to nearly every Thai place in SRQ and unfortunately this doesn’t make my top 5 list, close but not amazing. As with many Thai places, the wine list was awful. I don’t care if it doesn’t necessarily go with the cuisine, I want some good wine, damnit! The egg rolls and spring rolls both had meat. I got my stand by tofu pad Thai and my initial bite tasted like BBQ. It was a nice thick and dark sauce but just had a weird tang to it. Can’t describe it. My friends chicken dish had very little chicken, which seemed a little cheap. Service was in the middle, never wanted for anything but they also barely spoke to us. I always find it a little odd. Even if you can’t speak English well, a genuine smile goes a long way. So the good! I tried the veggie tempura roll which was a first for me and I totally loved it. I’ve never liked sushi before and know nothing about it, but I was happy for a new find. The décor is quite pretty although I find the booths in the hallway area to be a little odd. Although its kind of nice since you can see no other diners– no distractions. It wasn’t the worst pad Thai I’d ever had. It was all cooked well and the weird BBQ taste went away after a few bites. I’d definitely pick this place over others, but if you look at my other reviews you’ll know where my favorite place to go is! :)

Décor: 4⁄5 –Wasabi has a green themed décor –The first dining area has 8 seats at the sushi bar and 18 booth tables. –The area in the back has more booths that seat sbout 14. Service: 3⁄5 –average, our server forgot napkins and chopsticks for our table Food: 3⁄5 –Papaya Salad was flavorful but got a bit salty towards the end. Good to share between 2 – 3. Bring a mint bc it’ll leave you with garlic breath. –Egg roll has pork inside so vegetarians/vegans beware. The vegetable soup on the other hand was probably the best out of everything. –Drunken noodles with tofu was alright. Not what I expected. Six cubes of tofu which were cooked just right but the taste of the noodles felt off. Maybe too much basil? –Thai Tea($ 2.50) is one of the better tasting thai teas that I’ve had though some may think it is a bit on the sweet side.

Escaped quickly to this nice clean atmosphere after dropping off my nephew and niece at Funtastic’s Friday night open gym. Was nicely greeted and told we could sit where ever we liked :) Tried the Mom & Dad egg rolls, papaya salad, and Thai lettuce wraps. All were good, but the papaya salad stood out with it’s amazing flavor and spice. The chicken pad thai and beef massaman curry were okay, just expected more spice for medium since the papaya salad was spiced perfectly at medium. The servers were attentive, nice, and sweet ;D All in all, a good place for a nice conversational dinner. This place could make the regular rotation for Friday Drop-off gym nights; we’ll see ;)
