Excellent sushi, we went late on a chilly Wednesday night and mostly had the restaurant to ourselves. Delicious sushi and there was genuine pride in what was served. Will definitely be back!

This place is off the hook. Fresh Sashimi and Sushi and Shane and his Dad Kiyoshi are awesome. Great atmosphere. Conveyer belt that has frequently ordered sushi is cool as heck. Plates are elegantly portrayed. This is a must check out place.

I was really hoping to like this one…
It’s a small restaurant. Modern. Updated. There are a 5 or 6 tables on the right. Most of the place is taken up by a three sided bar with a sushi belt.
I didn’t enjoy sitting at the bar so much. We were seated in very close proximity to several other groups of other people and the lack of privacy was irritating.
The sushi menu was limited. You could either pull off the belt or order off the menu. We ordered 5 rolls. 1 order of 5 different rolls.
The prices were a little higher then normal average of $ 7.00 per roll. The sushi just average. Very fresh but not very satisfying.
If you are in the area I would recommend going to Kazu. It’s in the same plaza just a few doors down.

We just went last night to Kiyoshi’s new place in Gulf Gate and are thrilled he is back. We went to Kiyoshi’s other restaurant for 20 years in Downtown Sarasota and were so disappointed when it closed. Seriously the best, freshest sushi in town. My favorites are the Fire Dragon and Red Dragon rolls. YUM! Love the décor of the new place too!

Very, very good. Great service and fresh, quality fish. A rare find for sushi in Sarasota. If you’re a sushi person, this is one of the only places to go in town if you’re looking for quality.

This is a family enterprise led by Ritz Carlton Sushi Chef Kiyoshi Noro. The Sushi is fresh and delicious as are the wakame and squid salads. You can order a la carte or choose from a selection of sushi available on the novel conveyor system that circles the bar. Personal favorites are the Mexican roll and a custom spicy scallop hand roll.
