I love this place. The food is incredibly tasty.(The super quiesadilla with chicken is amazing.) There are also wonderfully kind people working there. And I checked the health score on the SFgov website; it is 90, which is great. No wonder the food tastes so good.

I had a carne asada super mojado burrito and ceviche. The food is delcious! The price is great, very inexpensive. I would probably eat here 2−3x a week if I lived close by. The salsas are also very good! The service is great!

Not satisfied. Must was blastingly loud. Shrimp was rubbery. 50 cents for a small bag of chips? Not again.

I have been coming to Reina’s for years and years, and they have always delivered the best Salvadorian food in the city! If consistent quality is the measure of a great restaurant, this is a great restaurant! The pupusas are excellent, I especially love the ones they make with Harina de Arroz! To experience the best of this restaurant, order the typically Salvadorian Specialties!

We wanted pupusas for lunch and although they are on the menu, they were not serving them today for some reason. I ordered a quesadilla with chorizo… It was oozing with grease and the meat was really chewy and not very flavored. Left dissatisfied.

Very nice guys! Make your order fast and still tender and juicy. When I don’t want to go all the way down to 16th this is the spot.

Chicken or lengua quesadillas all day! Tortas are tasty and there burritos are usually hit or miss. I frequent this spot a lot since I live on the same street. The guys working in there are friendly and work quickly when it gets slammed during peak hours. I’d recommend this spot to get your taqueria fix but temper your expectations for all you taqueria snobs. especially the ones from So Cal. Haha!

beware of the milky oysters! either its old or not fresh at all! we order two dozen and more then half doesn’t look eatable. demand a refund and they offer it! we just don’t want to get sick. the oysters are beautiful seafood, why cover it up with a slice of lime on top of it?! smh. check out my photos. tacos and soup were just ok.

Came here on a whim while looking for a place to eat after bf got off from work. They were technically closed but still let us in which was really sweet of them. They had some friends over celebrating and they told us to take our time. We ended up getting the quesadilla and a super burrito. I got my bottle of kola champagne and all was right with the world. The food was delicious. The quesadilla was all sorts of heaven from the crisp outside to the cheesy inside. The burrito was huge and had everything you could want in it. Bf was very pleased and so was I. Would definitely go back.

Would love to love this place. I came here because it’s close to home and I wanted oysters. The oysters weren’t on the menu, so I had no idea about the pricing. Turns out: $ 20 for a dozen. Three of them were bad. Extremely milky. My bf got a burrito: which was yum. I got enchiladas: dry. All this came out to $ 45ish. I liked the fact that they had fresh flowers on the tables. Also, I sass from the server was entertaining.

I have eaten burritos here before and they have always just been ok at best, but the last time I ordered was a nightmare. The guy behind the counter had just finished touching and cutting uncooked beef, then he started making my burrito without washing his hands. I’ve never eaten there again and never will.

Came here thinking it was the Reina’s known for Pupusas! In reality, that spot in down a few more blocks(rookie mistake). Everyone should know«You don’t order Mexican food @ Salvadorean spots and you don’t order Salvadorean food at Mexican spots!» I ended up getting the pupusas and it took FOREVER to make. They were just decent and nothing to they hype I heard(duh cus the real Reina’s Pupuseria is not this place! lol). What really shined was the ceviche and oysters. My friend and I just got oysters on a whim not expecting much of it(and praying we wouldn’t get sick lol). We ended up ordering another dozen because they were that good! When we broke the price down it was about $ 1.50 per oyster which is kinda pricey… but you get what you pay for. The service was fine other than the huge wait. Metered parking on Mission but you can easily find a space a block away in the residential area.

So glad to have found a hidden gem next to my house after just moving to sf! Thanks to you Unilocalers: p This place made me feel like I was back in my hometown again at the favorite local taqueria; it has so much culture. From the religious décor to the occasional mariachi music, the staff really projects their life & passion into this place. Not to mention they are unbelievably friendly :) We came in around 6:15pm on a Sunday, were the only customers there aside from some of there staff members eating their lunches, but still made us feel at home & welcomed! On to the food!~~ Moms got the Carne Asada quesadilla & I got two tostadas de ceviche. We were so sad when we found out they were out of oysters! That was what had drawn us to come try the joint out in the first place. Nonetheless, our food was delish :) mountains of yummy, fresh ceviche, sliced avocados, & a halved radish on my platter, while Mommy’s had a super cheesy, savory dish in front of her. It was heavenly. Only thing stopping me from five-starring the place is the fact that they ran out of oysters :(hopefully the next time I come by, it will be a redemption day with plenty of oysters! Oh & the music blares a little too loud at times. DEF will be coming back, maybe even a soon-to-be reg :)

Still the best hidden secret for oysters, ceviche tostadas and 7 mares soup. I really should stop telling people because they run out of oysters sometimes. I love the people working here, they are like friends that make excellent food which makes me happy. They know me, my mom and my friends. We come in to have fun and love the food. The oysters, the salsa bar at the table, the modelo especials — our traditions.

The Excelsior was my second home growing up but I never knew about this place until Rebekah T hooked me on to it. You can’t beat $ 13.95 for a dozen BIG oysters. Served on a bed of ice with lots of fresh lime wedges and a bottle of Tapatio(we also poured chunky salsa on them), it’s an amazing deal. Wash them all down with an ice-cold Modelo(or two… or three) and you’ve got yourself a 4 star meal at a 2 star price. The Telenovelas on the TV provide the entertainment until they start playing salsa music later in the night. But after a few Modelos, I think we were louder than the music and the TV! Reina’s has plenty of seating and is easily accessible — it’s right in front of a #14 Muni stop and the parking situation isn’t too bad, either. Restrooms are in the back. I walked away with a belly full of oysters and beer and only shelled out $ 25. I think we’re starting a new weekly tradition — Oyster night at Taqueria Reina’s!

After watching the 49er’s game at my co-worker’s crib in the Crocker Amazon(Daly City side of Mission Street), I always get drunk with my friends. When I’m «Blasted», I yearn for spicy food to absorb the alcohol away from my system.(Now you know me when I’m drunk.) After the ball game, I left his crib and was craving for a burrito. My first burrito for 2011 comes from a Taqueria that has the identical name as the other location in the SoMa area. I’m not sure if they are related or not, nor have I’ve been to the downtown location. Looking at the menu posted on the wall, the taqueria do have a Spicy Chicken as a meat option. And I chose that spicy poultry inserted into my $ 6.50 Super burrito. The chicken was spicy all right, but a bit too salty. Despite being inebriated, I was also able to find a bone in my burrito. WTH!(Good thing I didn’t eat it!) My burrito/meal was a bit of a disappointment to begin the 2011. But I’ll definitely be back and try the other meats in my super burrito. Notwithstanding the bright lights and feel of Mexico, the Health Department gave them a score of: 87
