This review is strictly for the inconvenience of this place. A friend and I were really jonesing for a bomb breakfast burrito so via Unilocal,we decided to give this place a shot. We must’ve done at least 3 u-turns trying to find the friggin’ place! No sign outside… really strange, it’s not labeled as a «taqueria» either… it actually says«café» on the side of the building… super small. So we show up around 11 am only to find that it’s CASHONLY. Not a huge deal, the cashier tells us the closest ATM is a couple blocks North. We walk there, arrive, find out that there is no such ATM there. SODUMB. End up walking all the way to the Walgreens on Mission for cash back. Trek AAAALL the way back to the taqueria… ANDIT’S CLOSED! It was 11:45 am at this point. Apparently they close at noon on Fridays. And decided to also close early this day. What the eff, mate? I’ve never trekked so hard for a burrito before… only to not get said burrito. Too much hassle for a hole-in-the-wall taqueria. Are there even set hours for this joint anywhere?! Bust.

I always stand outside here waiting for Ben to pick me up to go to DC. What to eat on a Thursday night while watching a movie? Mexican? OK. We stop by and look at their menu. Basic. They sell mexican food and american food. The place is pretty big but theres like no one in it ever. That should have probably been a sign to run the hell out-but hey i made that mistake once on a stellar resturant so I try not to judge a book its cover. Anyway we ordered our standard super burrito with al pastor(one star for at least having a selection of meat). The burrito was hella small for a «SUPER» burrito but the al pastor was seasoned pretty well. Why the low review? The clerk(Thank god not the cook) picked his nose right in front of us. GROSS!!! I dont care how good their burrito was, not ever going again to this boogerville burrito house.

I’ve been to this place several times as a last second resort. I can only comment on their burritos, specifically the super carne asada. The place make some pinner size burritos. They’re to skinny for my liking. They don’t automatically give you chips or salsa, you gotta ask for it. Their burritos taste ok, not bad but not great. I use this place as a backup place or running out time deal.

I live in the area and walk by this place all the time after getting off the BART, but yesterday was the first time I actually got food here. I got carne asada super nachos. Didn’t have to wait long since there weren’t too many customers at the time. Their carne asada was ok, nothing mind blowing. Overall the nachos were good and we noticed that the chips they use were not as salty as other places, which is a plus. I’ll come back again to try one of their burritos or I’ll check if they can hook me up with some carne asada fries. This space has changed many times, hopefully these guys can stay in business.

While the burgers are delicious, the churrizo I usually get in burritos leaves something to be desired. I give this place 3 stars simply for the burger, but its missing 2 stars for… 1. Lack of Credit Card Acceptance 2. The hours of this place are very inconvenient, not open nights, and close really early on all other days. How this place stays in business because of this, Ill never know. Many times on a sunday evening, I crave something from this place, only to find its closed at 5PM!

Considering the cheap prices(less than $ 5 for a standard burrito) and friendly service(extra black beans instead of rice at no charge), I wish I could give this place more stars. But not when there is a GIGANTIC multi-gallon size bottle of oil sitting right on the counter that no doubt played into why my chicken, even without them pouring more oil on top while grilling, seemed soaked in the stuff. Further demerits for only offering flour tortillas. There are so many better places.

This place has the best breakfast burritos and they’re cheap too. The breakfast burritos are like heaven wrapped in a tortilla consisting of eggs, country potatoes, some veggies and your choice of meat. I always get the bacon. The doughnuts are super fresh and they have a big selection. The apple fritters are huge and the French doughnuts are yummie. The portions are big on the breakfasts and they have specials too. They also serve Mexican food here which is also quite yummie. I like the quesadillas and tortas.

this places makes burritos and burgers. if a place makes burgers they also have fries. SO… you can get a custom order = California burrito. Ordered a cali burrito, they knew what it was, but it wasn’t listed on their menu. They did not charge me extra or anything. But wasn’t that great. Their fries had too much starch like potato wedges, you have to use fries that do not have so much starch. Good try for a cali burrito but I guess you have to go to SD for the real thing.

If you have nothing nice to say, then don’t say it all… On second thought, their doughnuts are really good!

Awesome breakfast burritos! Eggs, cheese, choice of meat, grilled onions, mushrooms, and peppers cooked to order for $ 4.20. Haven’t tried anything else yet here but I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back. They have a full breakfast menu(omelettes, breakfast sandwiches, etc.) and burgers in addition to their taqueria menu. Update 2⁄23: Went back for a non-breakfast burrito and tried the carne asada. Although the meat was very good and the burrito was huge and well constructed, the overall burrito experience was lacking. The beans an rice lacked flavor, and there was a minimal amount of cheese, sour cream, and guacamole to balance the extremely hot, jalapeño-laden salsa. Also, although it was«discount Thursday» the burrito was still over $ 5, and didn’t feel like a great bargain. I was also not offered chips with it, which felt a little bogus. I have to say the asada was better than that at Taqueria Guadalajara, my regular go-to neighborhood burrito place. Aside from that though the burrito was sub-par. If I got a real jones for asada, I might go back, but I would make a point to ask for extra guacamole and sour cream. I will still be back for breakfast burritos however!

This is located in what was formerly known as Geneva Station Café. They have have have Mexican, as well as American, breakfast and lunch cuisine, gourmet coffee and pastries. Thursdays are discount burrito special days, but all of the food is generally moderately priced with hefty portions. It appears to be a favorite for Muni drivers since it is near Balboa Park BART station.
