Elaine is fantastic. You can tell she is listening and totally feels what you are looking for. Showed her what we wanted and she made it happen. This is going to be our regular place. $ 15 and $ 13 only. She is worth so much more.

Haircut(without the wash) and eyebrow waxing. Lots of hair, gone in the span of 15 minutes(yes, styling it took longer!) $ 23.00. Elaine is friendly and patient. She wants to get it right, and I only go in two times a year.(I know that I should go more often.) Drop ins are welcome but it doesn’t hurt to call and see if she’s available first.

It was my first time getting a haircut at this salon and it’s not going to be the last! =) The service was amazing. Elaine the new owner is super friendly! She was very patient and really easy to talk to. The last hair stylist I went to accidently chopped off a chunk of my hair so it made my hair look really weird. There were random short chunks of hair and Elaine helped me fix that! I asked her that I didn’t want those short chunks to be cut off because I wanted to let it grow and she did as I said. She cut around it and the haircut turned out really nice =) I recommend this salon very much!

New owner, Elaine, is super nice and patient. I wanted to try a new look and after she spent 30 mins on it, I worked up a courage and told her honestly that I didn’t like it. Without hesitation she offered a redo and cut it the way I want it. She only charged for one haircut($ 10) when it was actually two that I got. If you are thinking about trying this place out, I say it go for it. She will work with you until you are happy.

I thought it was time for a quick update. I’ve been seeing Lina ever since my first review and she’s been consistently amazing. I get a new color every time I go and I always feel comfortable and confident that she’ll give me exactly what I want. Last week I decided to get highlights for the first time in like 10 years and they came out spectacular. I’m in constant awe of her talent and appreciative of her prices. Lina is the best! So is her pup Lenny :)

After reading the reviews, I think Lina no longer works or owns this place, because I just got a haircut from Abe at this location, who now owns the shop. Anyway, $ 8 for a haircut, line-up, and a massage? Awesome. I talked to Abe a bit while he was giving me a nice«Daly City Filipino Fade»(you know, the close shave semi-bald look Daly City Fil-Ams like to sport) and I found out he’s been cutting hair since he was 14 back in the Philippines. He and his uncle used to take a Calesa(horse-drawn carriage) into town and cut hair there. A quick massage is tradition back in the Philippines after a haircut. They’d come back home with vegetables, a bit of money, and cigarettes. Abe then moved to Virgina Beach during the early 90’s, then to Los Angeles, cutting hair at both spots. Now he’s in Daly City, giving haircuts to an area densly populated with Filipinos. I hope he keeps doing the massages and keeps the price point at $ 8, best price and value yet. Oh and if you aren’t Filipino Abe will be just as welcoming, just get ready for the great massage, which might be off-putting at first. Make sure you request it too just in case though, I have a feeling he might not pull the massage trigger on you if he doesn’t sense you won’t be comfortable with it. And tell him Albert sent ya! Every 5 references(including your own haircut) equates to a free haircut for you. Oh and park in the residential area behind the blocks and off Mission. Save yourself some change from the quarter-hungry meters.

Called this place since it has great reviews, but the lady i called said no new clients… more clients more money that’s how I see it.

I went to this salon and the lead stylist Lina did an excellent job styling and coloring my hair. She was extremely personable and listened to all my requests. Her cousin also cuts hair, but she seems a bit slutty. So I was afraid to go to her, because I didn’t want to look cheap. Ask for Lina.

I’m completely new to this city so suffice it to say I was a little nervous about finding a decent hair place. Any woman knows a good hair person is hard to find, much less a great one. Thankfully Lina did a beautiful job on my hair. A little shorter than I expected, but I had a lot of damaged hair that needed to come off(blame it on my excessive flattening iron days). The price down right cheap — for $ 25 she washed, cut, dried and styled my hair. Lina was very personable, made great conversation, and was open to my opinions while offering her own professional advice. Make sure you call ahead of time to make an appointment, as she isn’t always on site. I give it five stars because I look great and still have money to spare. She takes cash, credit or debit.
