I followed Cecil Elekwachi from 24 hr Fitness to his new training spot at Synergy. It’s a smaller gym but it’s never crowded, has a lot of cool equipment, and parking is no prob. It’s much better. Cecil is a professional athlete and knows a lot about body mechanics and all the latest training methods. He is also very good with the personal motivation part of training and has definitely pushed and inspired me to go past what I thought I could do. We cover a lot of ground in every session and he keeps it interesting and challenging. Finally, Cecil is a REALLYNICE and kind person. I’ve been working out with him for 3 years and going strong!

I have been with 24 Hours since I was 17. I like that there are many facilities that are all accessible to me. End of December ’09, I started training with a trainer there, and things were great. But as a hairdresser, my availibility changes from day to day and I needed someone more flexible. In August, I was recommended to my current trainer Michael Picot and it’s been the best move ever! He’s flexible with time which is very important to me. He’s professional and really listens to me. There are days when certain areas are bothering me, and we just adjust the excercise to my body. I’m more toned than I’ve ever been! If you’re looking for a trainer at a clean, comfortable environment, I would highly recommend Michael at Synergy Fitness on Polk!!!

I have been training clients at Synergy for about 6 years. It’s a somewhat small, downstairs gym with low ceilings and the equipment is not the newest/greatest stuff but those are about the only criticisms I have. The gym is completely functional, well lit, and I always feel like I can give my clients a great workout there. Parking is not the nightmare it seems like it would be for a downtown location, and there’s even a parking garage right around the corner. The gym is on Polk St. between Sutter and Bush so very close to the Financial District. Since it is a «trainers only» facility the gym never feels too crowded and the atmosphere is pleasant. All the trainers and clients get along well and share equipment without a hassle. The owner, Mark is a very friendly guy who is attentive, keeps the place clean and repairs/replaces equipment when necessary. I have always had positive feedback from my clients which is of course good for my business [insert shameless plug here] Incite Personal Training. :-)
