This Subway in convenient because it’s open 24hrs. The service is pretty quick but depending on who makes your sandwich they skimp on the meat. You have to pay attention. They already don’t add enough meat. I usually only go for the breakfast sandwiches.

Worst sandwich ever!!! For 9 dollars! First off they took forever making the sandwich and it took two people. The entire sandwich is falling apart the bread was NOT fresh like I asked. I told the employee it looks like it’s going to fall apart he assured me it would let he would wrap it right the put the meat on last. I’m ready to throw the entire thing away and I did not receive a receipt!!! Save your money and go down the street elsewhere complete waste of my lunch break and money! I will make sure to tell all tourist and locals go ELSEWHERE!!! Zero stars in my book

Rude employees :@ today 10⁄09 I went in to this Subway for breakfast. As soon as I walked in the store the young Asian worker didn’t even greet me. she kept cleaning and didn’t acknowledge my presence. Hello! I’m the only one in line. then she says to me Are you Ready?.. I really wanted to answer her back sarcastically and would had said: Duh! Been ready!!:@

The staff of this subway is rude and unprofessional(a boy who works on Monday morning shift) and he always hide in kitchen all the time, So no staff stand by in the front bar for giving service to customers, the customers have to wait until he walk out from the kitchen. some customers have to call for services… the manager should train him about the service mind and how to treat the customers like the professional do, Subway is a big fast food company in US .and the one point of this subway staff, he should have more patient with the customers who don’t speak english is mother tongue. he acts and speaks insulting to ppl who can’t speak english very well, SF is a nice city for visiting, A lot of ppl around the world would come visit this city. please don’t make this city look bad about hospitality.

I’ve had tastier glasses of ice water. I ordered a turkey sandwich complete with most of the fixings sans mayo, but there was seriously no flavor to any of it. The bread was dry and just not good. The service was just fine, but there is really no reason to ever get a sandwich here given the close proximity of several other sandwich shops.

They were stingy with sauce and despite me trying to have a normal conversation with them, literally ignored me the entire time. I get that they must get a lot of traffic and stuff, but that doesn’t mean they have to be rude.

Worst experience ever! Wish there was an option to give 0 stars on Unilocal.Let me begin by saying that as a vegetarian, I’ve never had issues with Subway before — in fact, it’s been a great go-to place. However, my last experience there was simply unacceptable. I ordered my usual veggie on wheat. I saw the first lady handle meat from the previous customer, so I asked her to change gloves — something I’ve never had issues with before. She nonverbally expressed her frustration on having to do so, but she changed them. Then, I noticed there were meat crumbles on the cheese block she reached for, to which she picked it up and placed the slice upside down on my bread so you couldn’t see the meat. As my sandwich got passed onto the second lady, I saw she had just handled a sandwich with tuna, so I asked her to change her gloves also. She asked me «why do I have to? I only handle veggies» and continued to express her frustration, but changed her gloves. Right before cutting my sandwich, she took the same knife that had cut through the tuna sandwich from before, wiped it on the paper my sandwich was sitting on, and used that to cut my sandwich. It all seemed so unclean! I didn’t want to make a scene and complain to the manager because it was lunchtime/rush hour, so I paid for it and gave it to the nearest homeless person. I came back later in the afternoon and asked to speak to the manager. The manager(Gil Paz) essentially cut me off before I could explain and said he was there when this all happened. He proceeded to explain to me how he can’t guarantee 100% cleanliness because it would slow down productivity… At one point in the conversation, he actually rolled his eyes in disbelief that I was making a complaint about my experience. He also defended his employee for expressing her frustration when I asked them to switch gloves saying I can’t expect them to do that because it would slow down productivity. I told him I’ve never had this issue before at another Subway to which he said I should go to another Subway, if that’s better. His final apology was«I’m sorry, but I can’t guarantee 100% that won’t happen again but he’ll tell his employees.» Oh, and he also said if I come during a quieter time, he himself will make me a sandwich… So, that means I can’t have my lunch during normal lunch hours because they’re too busy… Makes no sense to me. I don’t think I’ll be going back to Subway, which is unfortunate because I actually used to really enjoy it. I was insulted as a customer and I simply cannot stand bad customer service. I understand it’s clearly a management issue here, but honestly, this experience ruined my trust in Subway.

This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at any eatery ever! I received a gift basket through a raffle to benefit St. Anthony’s here in San Francisco, within the basket was $ 40 in gift certificates to this particular Subway and another a few blocks away that was closed and no longer in operation. My fiancé and I don’t often venture this area of town, as we are locals but we were meeting some friends nearby on Saturday and thought we may as well use the gift card. We got to this Subway, which is attached to the Hyatt Regency, and immediately I could tell there may be issues. I ordered my sandwich, the employee didn’t ask if we were together so she waited for the next sandwich maker to take her order. The 1 employee seemed annoyed when I told him we were paying together. When it came time to pay I handed over the gift card which was for $ 20 and the bill came to $ 19 and change. The told me that the gift card was no longer valid since the last manager signed it. I told them I just received it less then 4 months ago for a charity event with St. Anthony’s, all I got were blank stares. There was no customer service at all. They then sent me on a wild goose chase to the other location that the gift card was valid for, which longer existed. This day and age with sooo many options to get a quick bite to eat you’d like Subway would want to retain clients yet this store could have cared less. Don’t go to this Subway, they are heartless frauds giving out raffle items to San Francisco charities and then not honoring them!!!

This is a horrible Subway. I entered, there was no one in front of me, and for some reason it took the workers 5 minutes to take my order. Not sure why that happened. Next, my sandwich was popped in the oven and toasted(as requested) but when it was taken out it just sat on the counter, untouched. Why did they start making other people’s sandwiches before mine was completed? By now, the sandwich was cold but the girl at the register ringing up my sandwich was even colder. I know working at Subway is not the most glamorous job in the world but it’s better than being unemployed. My sandwich(turkey and cheese) was sub par and fell apart. Not to mention, I asked for a very small amount of mustard and the worker went to town spraying mustard all over my sandwich. I told them that was enough but she was loving that mustard. I’ve never had a Subway sandwich fall apart. I wouldn’t come back to this location.

…Oh. My sandwich is in my hand and I’ve paid. This went almost too smoothly. Perhaps I should’ve ordered two or three more subs to enliven the process. To be honest, I miss the bulletproof glass and sliding money /food slot from the Subway(s) in Oakland. But the signs at this location say it’s open 24 hours; perhaps the 3 or 4 am scene around here would ease my homesickness. Or next time I could ask my sandwich preparer to wear a ski mask. Kidding.

I’m giving 5 stars to a Subway. but particularly Meela(*sp…sorry) and the 24-hour nature of it. He makes the best sandwiches and he’s always amazingly cheerful even on the mornings when I’m a totally grumpy mess(i.e. pre-breakfast and racing into work at the nearby Embarcadero 3)

I hardly ever write one star reviews unless I’ve really had a bad experience! I think a big part of what makes a restaurant successful and to have repeat business is to have good customer service. Yah okay, this is borderline«fast food» and you can say you can’t expect much, but I expected at least average customer service. My girlfriend and I decided to eat here on our lunch breaks. mind you at 9 am, so when we got here the place was empty. I barely stepped foot at the door and I get greeted with a YELL«WHATDOYOUWANTTOORDER?», I was taken back like whoa can I at least finish getting inside the restaurant… GEEZ!!! I was only looking at the menu for like a minute and a half after being yelled at, I was so shocked that I couldnt concentrate on what to order. then the lady goes«do you know what you want yet??!» I felt so rushed and I turn around and there still isnt any customers behind me so its not like I created a line, I look at her and she rolls her eyes!!! I ordered my meatball sandwhich and throughout the whole process of making it she always had a smart tone of voice very snappy. When I get to pay I look at her name tag and it says she is the SUPERVISOR!!! … My sandwhich was made sloppy. Also another setback is that there are a bunch of bums hanging around in the patio area. I dont mind the homeless but I do mind the stench that lingers. We decided to take our orders back to work… I will never go to this location again!

I used to frequent this particular Subway when I worked in the city. The people who work behind the counter are awesome. Efficient, and they remember you and your order(provided you patronize the store enough). They even found out that I like to eat half a footlong and save the rest for later and would wrap them individually for me. If you’re going to choose a financial district Subway, this is the one to go with.

For fuck’s sake! After waiting in line at Bistro Burger for ten minutes, I decided to split and figured I’d go to Subway instead and try their new breakfast menu. After waiting in line for ten minutes, witnessing a fight between the lone sandwich maker and a customer, I decided to split, especially after I realized the«eggs» they had for breakfast were precooked slices of yellow Styrofoam, and the«sausage» patties were actually grey sponges. Looks like I escaped a bullet, my friends! What did I end up eating? Oh, thanks for asking — I stopped in at Andale on Sacramento Street and got a baby breakfast burrito in under a minute.

When i’m in the city, this is definitely my GOTO subway for salads and sandwiches. Plus the occassional cookie. I’ve gone here for breakfast and lunch. The staff is always so friendly here. I did go here today to get my standard Veggie Delight Salad. It’s a great size and it’s only $ 5. How can you go wrong? Thanks subway for always being a guaranteed good meal!

Market homeless peeps wandering around won’t let you eat peacefully. Subway Staff visibly hates their job. It’s cheap — yes. It’s convenient quick fix — yes. Only on the last level of hunger.
