Sat at the bar for a beer on Sunday at about 3PM. They were out of both brands of draft beer I ordered. Well, I don’t know if they were actually out or if they were just too lazy to change the kegs. In general, service was just uninterested and the bartenders were more interested in talking amongst themselves and only showed the absolute minimal interest in the customer. I’m guessing they’re union workers.

My hotel accommodation included breakfast for each day. So I was fortunate enough to have eaten breakfast here for 5 straight days. Food selection is extensive. Quality and taste is decent. The staff were always so kind and welcoming. They definitely are the reason why I gave them four stars. Tip them well! The hotel bar is well designed and has TVs tuned in to different sports and news channels. I love their wine selection especially the President which is a red blend.

Decent food. Atmosphere is nice for breakfast. Although service was terrible and essentially ruined a nice breakfast. Many other customers around were frustrated as well. Food deserves 3 stars, service 1. Took about 15 minutes to get drinks served simply to the table. Avoid if you can.

We arrived late from the east coast so decided to eat at the hotel and we were pleasantly surprised. The flatbread was generously sized and tasty. My friend’s sandwich was also very good and the sweet potato fries were crispy and nicely seasoned.

Service and food is on point. I had lunch and evening drinks at Eclipse. For lunch I had a simple but delicious arugula salad and Carlos B. was friendly and professional. The lounge waiter in the evening was also very helpful while we enjoyed our cocktails and side of fries. I would definitely revisit this place. They even have happy hour on Sundays when other establishments are closed. Enjoy!

Decent-to-good food, but subpar service and pretty high prices. Our waitress tonight initially was planning to memorize our order, but changed her mind halfway through and used one of the napkins on our table to write it down. Not very professional at all.

A group of us decided to come for a happy hour after work, and were sorely disappointed by the lack of service. Despite our group being the only customers when we sat down, our drinks took at least 20 minutes to arrive, and the wait time on the appetizers wasn’t any better. Nobody came in to check on us after we got our food and drinks, and we had to flag down a waiter to ask for water, which took yet another 10 – 15 minutes to arrive. Drinks and food were decent for a hotel restaurant/bar, but the quality of the service left a bad taste.

Quick service, attentive managers, delish appetizers. Go and check this place out, great place to unwind after a long day at work. Don’t forget to get Castro street cocktail, refreshing.

Visited the Eclipse Restaurant & Bar with a few friends after work and WOW, I was blown away. It looks like the restaurant went under a huge renovation — brand new seating and décor. My expectations were exceeded by the delicious food, craft cocktail choices, and awesome atmosphere. I would recommend ordering the brussel sprouts, flat breads, and truffle fries! Highly recommended, I will definitely be back!

I went to Eclipse Monday evening for cocktails and ended up staying for over two hours! It has a great vibe and I love all of the little details everywhere. First, I got the«22 year old CEO» cocktail which was delish and refreshing. I remembered a cocktail(honey rye) I used to get before they renovated and after describing it to the manager, she knew exactly what it was and made it herself for me! We had a few apps and while everything was tasty, I could eat their house made kettle chips all day. Pleasant service, great drinks/eats and chill environment — what more could you want?!

What a fantastic experience at Eclipse Kitchen & Bar. I was impressed with the selection of appetizers and creative beverage menu. Additionally, the seating was very comfortable as our party was able to have a great view of the impressive atrium. This hotel has tranformed over the years and looks fantastic. I will return to this bar when in the area as it has a terrific vibe and positive energy.

WOW! This place is unreal. The new renovations are absolutely perfect– so modern and inviting. I loved having the craft cocktails and tasty apps here with my friends after work– perfect spot in the financial district. Highly recommend.

We had a business lunch here to discuss our upcoming meeting and it was surprisingly good! I enjoyed the eggs benedict and herbal tea and was very happy with my choices. Nice open atmosphere in the hotel lobby, good food and good service too.

Standard hotel restaurant. Food is ok. What I do like about it is that it’s open relatively late for San Fran and the space is nice. It’s in the atrium of the Hyatt Regency. For breakfast it’s a bit hectic, but for dinner and snacks it’s peaceful.

Food: 4 stars; atmosphere: 2 stars; service: 3 stars = 3 stars I’m pretty hard to please with food — so if I’m giving their food 4 stars, that’s high up there. I didn’t order the stuff that other people based their poor review on, so perhaps it’s selective. The clam chowder was so damn good that we had it a couple nights in a row. The breakfast buffet is $ 27pp and while it’s not that diverse in its dishes, it’s definitely a go-to for anyone staying here. I’m just disappointed Hyatt doesn’t give complimentary continental breakfasts. The bar area is small and it can get quite chaotic. They can’t seem to handle bigger crowds very well. We were there for the AREAA National Convention this year, so those who were staying would come in giant groups for drinks throughout the events during the day and night. The drinks were fine, but the atmosphere sucks. It’s so open — it’s just a continuation of the lobby area. The atmosphere also feels like. they haven’t touched a thing to keep up with the time by modernizing since like. the 80s. Please, please give yourself a face lift because I don’t like feeling like we’re at a shabby airport lounge.

Looooove the décor. There are giant hanging Christmas lights which beautifies the place. During Christmas, they host a snow fall event which is pretty neat for those of us who haven’t seen snow(SADRIGHT?). It’s a very chill environment. I definitely like the couches they have for customers to lounge in. Very comfortable and quiet. Came here for happy hour. Ordered chicken wings $ 14 and garlic fries $ 6. Our waiter was telling us that a friend of his counted about 64 fries. I would count, but I lost track after 3 because at that point, I was just shoveling up fries. The fries were good but not garlicky enough. There were 3 whole chicken wings that came with barbecue sauce. Fried well but the flavor was lacking. Great service, beautiful place to be, comfortable, but when it comes to food, I’ve had better elsewhere at a better price. Even with Osha Thai, they had expensive small portion wings but they were delicious as hell!

Two years later I still feel the same about Eclipse Chicken wings were seasoned well but difficult to eat Mac & cheese was underseasoned, needed more cheese and too greasy My friends loved their burgers and were surprised at how good it really was so take that for what its worth Overall Thoughts For a hotel restaurant it certainly does the job to satisfy your cravings but for the price you might have some doubts if its worth it

I find it extraordinarily insulting and upsetting when restaurants with a captured audience(IE in a hotel) feel that they do not have to try because of that. See my review for Bacchus Wine Bar for a similar experience. We decided to head to the Eclipse restaurant because it was convenient and we were in need of a Bloody Mary, stat. We were seated quickly and our drink orders were taken in about five minutes of seating. Our water glasses were removed and we had to ask for water to be returned. After our drinks came we then sat for another ten minutes watching about 5 waiters wander around clearing tables, offering juice, and generally ignoring us. We had our menus turned upside down to indicate(shouldn’t have had to this) that we were ready to order and still were ignored. Our waitress finally appeared from the back and took our order. I was already ticked off from the wait. I think part of the confusion can be associated with the breakfast buffet as many of the people in the restaurant seemed to take advantage of that(looked super tasty but too pricy for my taste since I wanted a cocktail), yet you would think even in that case when servers have less to do they would be more attentive. I got the corned beef hash with a ‘spicy Bloody Mary sauce’ and poached eggs(I asked for medium on the eggs). My husband got the two eggs(over easy) with bacon and toast. When our food came out my eggs were decidedly not medium and his were almost cooked through. The sauce with my hash was basically hugely chunked tomatoes from a can and no spice at all. I asked for ketchup. My hash was greasy(although it is corned beef…). Husbands bacon was perfectly crisp and thick and his sourdough toast was cold. Overall we had a mediocre experience. They did comp two of our bloody Mary’s for our patience which I appreciated, but would have preferred good service in the first place. This effort did bump them from two stars to three(my husband suspects they saw me taking pictures of the food). I am coming down more and more on ALWAYS venturing out of hotels when getting food, because clearly they don’t seem to care.
