Ate here for the first time. I have worked down the street for many years and never tried the food. Today I had the chicken with rice, beans and salad. It was simply delicious. I will be going here weekly.

Hi, I’ve been a regular customer for awhile, and have never complained, but we recently ordered a Pink Smoothie and my daughter didn’t like it. The strawberries or something tasted sour, and the smoothie was WAYWAYWAY too sweet. In fact, ridiculously sweet, as if they dumped a ton of refined sugar into it. They SAY it’s a fruit smoothie, but I don’t think they disclose the excessive refined sugar they add with the«protein powder» they also add. I tried to return it and exchange it for something else, but that cashier said no. I tried further to convince him to refund my money or to order something in exchange, but he said«No Way, that’s not going to happen», I repeated that all restaurants are required to refund or exchange for a meal that’s not good, but he again repeated«That’s not going to happen here». Which I think was a fairly rude and inappropriate thing to say.

One of my favorite places in San Francisco! The owner is really nice and friendly, he and his family bakes the Brazilian goodies fresh every day. If you come early, he might offer you a freshly made cheeseball — and it is delicious! My go to is the Açai bowl as this is the best place to get Açai in town!

This place was SO much more than I expected! When I saw the place in person, and how it shared the lobby of a gym, I questioned whether the Unilocal reviews were tied to the right restaurant. I walked to Pastel Brazil from Mission Bay(where I was staying), and the paths we took kind of scared me because they were pretty deserted. However, it didn’t take me long to realize why everyone loves this place! We sat right in front of the grill and ordered right off the large menu hanging on the wall. While we were waiting for our breakfast, one of the guys behind the grill gave us Brazilian cheese puffs to try and they were such great little appetizers(if I may) I wish I had gotten some to go! I got Rinaldo’s Omelet, it had shredded chicken, spinach, mushroom, and LOTSOFCHEESE. First of all, it was HUGE. It also came with toasts. My first bite convinced me that it was no average omelet. It was just the right level of savory and the shredded pieces of chicken was a dreamy addition to the already perfect omelet. During our time there, the two guys who worked there sang and danced along to the Portuguese(I assume?) songs and I loved the informal and inviting atmosphere. TL;DR: great omelet, great staff, come hungry!

This is the best Brazilian food I’ve ever had hands down. The specials that they put on the menu are amazing and every plate here is incredible. I always get a chicken wrap but replace the chicken with steak on a spinach or tomato tortilla. The specials are to die for and every time he puts up the chicken stew I have to get it. It’s a small family owned business located inside of World Gym in the Potrero Hill District. It’s literally a hole in the wall and probably the best one in the city no doubt. They are very quick with making their meals and the portions that they give you are unbelievable. They also make very good protein shakes which is essential when you’re done with your workout at World Gym. The owner Wides and his son are always on top of keeping a well maintained restaurant making sure that every meal is prepared well.

5 stars for great customer service! I went in to order pai de quejo, but apparently they only serve that for breakfast. So I ordered an acai bowl. While I waited for the acai bowl, the owner chatted with me and made me a beef patty for free. It was my first time in the store but I was treated like a regular, which is a great feeling. The beef patty was fresh and very flavorful!

Our first time. Yum! We ordered the steak plate and the chicken panini. Both were excellent. Steak was well done yet tender. Rice and beans had a great flavor! The panini was filling and delicious. The side salad was unremarkable. Watch out for that orange hot sauce!!! It looks harmless and has got a serious burn to it! So good. Portions were very decent. We had leftovers with two adults and a child sharing the two items.

I have dine here couple of times and the service is friendly and cozy. I believe the owner was the one cooking today. Perfectly cooked salmon. Crispy outside and tender inside with home made hot sauce, brown rice and black beans. Did I mention their house made brown rice and black beans is the best I have ever had?! This is my go to place now after gym. Thanks again!

I was surprised when I saw a gym instead of a restaurant. Then I realized it was a restaurant located inside the gym. Regardless, my friend and I walked in and sat down since we were craving breakfast. I got their Ronaldo’s omlette. It was like your typical omlette: a type of meat(chicken) and all the different kinds of veggies(bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, spinach etc). One thing l like about the omelette is how they cook it be a ‘flat’ omlette, meaning there arent any spaces in the omelette so all the ingredients are held in place and would fall off when you cut it open(i hate it when that happens in omelettes!). Other than that, the taste was your typical breakfast omelettes. Very flavourful and is definitely tasty after working out in the gym.

Very tasty! I had a pastel and an avocado smoothie :) Authentic Brazilian food right between yoga tree and the world gym. You can also order plates like salmon with rice and beans.

I love this place. Great felafel done with lots of parsley, delicious açai bowls, and healthy or high protein options designed for the weightlifting crowd. The customers are always speaking Portuguese so you know it’s a mecca for the real stuff. As far as quick takeout goes, será o beijo pelo qual todos serão julgados!

My sister and I came upon this place on our quest for an acai bowl in the city. It’s a quaint little bar style restaurant and it shares a space with another store. I got the Samba Panini and the Acai Bowl here and they were both soooo amazing! The panini was the perfect temperature and size for lunch. The Acai bowl was super big, perfect for two people to share! They also have a refrigerator full of just different types of hot sauces which is awesome. I love the friendliness and cheerfulness of the employees here as well. The bar was pretty full when we came and chef(owner?) cut up a huge watermelon and gave everyone huge slices for free. Will com again!

Loved finding this place. It’s legit Brazilian food inside a gym! One of the best servings of restaurant feijoada I’ve had in the US. The pastel was great too! They really take pride in their kitchen and fare. Aaaaand they’re super friendly so pull up a chair and visit Brasil!

Cozy spot sharing a building with World Gym! The staff is welcoming and nice, and there’s bike parking right outside. I came here specifically looking for açai, and I found it! Looking around the near vicinity, it looks like a bunch of little places I need to try. I ordered«Acai in a bowl» which is on the smoothie menu, but comes in a bowl. With all the mixins and such, it ended up being 3 servings for me. Don’t eat all that açai at once… cut it with a banana! Extend that pricey food =) In terms of quality, I would say it’s not up to Basik level, but a decent and lower-priced option. Also picked up a real Guarana soda for a Brazilian friend of mine, and she loved it! Said it reminded her of home — it should, it does actually come from Brazil. I’m looking forward to coming back to try one of their various other menu items. Worth a visit!

After trying my first ever acai bowl in Santa Cruz I’ve been trying to find the best place in SF for acai bowl This place showed up on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. The acai bowl cost about $ 8.50 and it included acai, granola, strawberries and bananas. It was very tasty and but a little too watery for my liking. I bought it to go and drove 15 mins home to enjoy it and by that time it was already melted to a watery consistency. I like my acai bowl more thicker in texture.

Thank god this place is extremely far for me to get to or I would be here every day, and my marathon training would go down the drain! As soon as I found out a place in SF has pastel I immediately made the trek after work. I got two beef and one chicken pastel and they were awesome!!! They were a really good size and very well done. Despite being street food in Brazil, it is somewhat of a special occasion food here and rarely any place has it. Really glad I found out about this place!!! They have other savory snacks as well but had ran out as I went at the end of the day. Will have to go back to try the rest.

I am pretty sure the ratings here are slightly inflated because of the location. Do you remember being so hungry after working out that you could eat almost anything? Well, this place has that amazing quality of proximity, it’s literally _inside_the gym. No, seriously, it is inside the friggin’ World’s Gym. We went here for brunch, only glancing at the 4-star rating and the mention of Brazilian cuisine. I would say it doesn’t come close to either 4-stars or anything discernibly Brazilian. People are nice, service is fast, and the food is very mediocre. But did I mention it’s inside a gym? It’s got that going for it.

Located inside the Gold Gym… It’s a mini diner with stool seating and options for breakfast and lunch. I got the grilled chicken panini. It was pretty good! I like the pesto sauce that goes with it to give the sandwich some flavor. I think there wasn’t enough sauce or they needed to add something to give it more of a kick and keeps the panini from being dry. It tasted good whenever I bite into the part of the sandwich with the pesto sauce. The price was very reasonable and they have other options for breakfast, juice, smoothies and goodies for all the gym craze people. I just try to walk it off.

Pastel Do Brazil is a true gem in Potrero Hill. Their acai bowl is delicious and very refreshing on a warm day. The acai fruit blend is thick and creamy, not watery at all. Topped with sweet, nutty and crunchy granola and fresh banana slices, this fruit bowl makes the perfect breakfast or post-workout snack. I also tried a chicken and cheese pastel(pastry). Shredded chicken meat and cheese were folded into a dough pastry and fried to a crispy perfection. It was a bit heavy and oily, but so delicious! I think the fact that I had the acai fruit bowl justified my binging on a greasy, savory stuffed pastry.

Hidden gem! It’s randomly tucked inside the world gym but the location totally works in its favor. Hilarious random jacked dudes plus simple delicious Brazilian food makes for a fun lunch. The acai bowl is HUGE and super delicious. They have a ton of smoothie options(avocado, banana, pineapple, etc). The boyfriend got the breakfast combo and it was great. Great house hot sauce. I will def be back! They had a massive pot of stewing pork on the stove that I need to try next time.
