Love this place. I went on a cold rainy day and order my soup. I order chicken noodle soup and Marco Polo salad. My order came quick with a friendly smile. Its a self service cute clean café. As soon I walked in saw everything clean and ready to serve. Soup was delicious and very flavored. My salad was a very good looking salad. I asked dressing and nuts on the side. Serving was pretty big and colorful. I really enjoyed celintro on the top of my salad. Love to go back and try few sandwich. Seating area is very modern an luckily if downstairs get crowded you can go upstairs and enjoy your meal. Thanks Café Pazzo. See you soon :)

Tasty lunch place around the SoMA/Potrero/Design Center area. Their salads are just the right size… Spiro’s Plate and the Greek Salad are my favorite, their daily specials are also delicious. Sandwiches, from what I hear from our co-workers, are also really amazing. And if it’s a nice, sunny, token California day in San Francisco? Grab a table outside and get some of that sunshine. The wait can be long, I suppose good food takes time, but I never understood why it would take an average of 20 minutes to order a simple soup/salad combo. The key here is order online(try to order an hour and a half prior), identify your pick-up time, and grab your lunch as scheduled. And Caffee Pazzo — please put the Kale/Quinoa salad back on the dailies? Keep up the good work otherwise.

The food won’t blow you away but it’s consistent and flavorful without being heavy. A variety of sandwiches and salads that will keep you from having to order the same thing all the time. My favorites are the seared ahi sandwich and Napa salad with seared ahi on top($ 5 extra). Their non-seared ahi dishes are good too. Pro tip: go upstairs to just get away from it all.

Great place to change it up a little. The food is good and casual, and the place has a nice feel. Definitely the type of place I look for when finding somewhere to grab a casual bite. Would recommend.

I like it! Good salads – my favorite is the Greek salad. Call ahead for takeout. Insider’s secret: any sandwich can be made into a salad. Enjoy!

I came 5 minutes before closing and the lady behind the counter was nice enough to still let me order. That actually helped my indecisiveness as I was forced to make a quick decision and chose the Grilled Cheese with one of the soup of the days. I sat next to one of their big windows and pulled out my laptop(though I later found out that the wireless didn’t work) and ate my sandwich, which I was glad for because I was starved. The sandwich was really good. I liked the cheese(mozzarella), carmelized onions(which was actually a tad too carmelized), but the sun dried tomatoes was a nice touch. The soup(some mexican bean soup, I think) was really good. It had a good kick of spice as well. Overall, it was a good place to grab a quick meal.

Standard office lunch spot with a line. Pazzo is somewhat in the lobby of the Showplace building, so it feels a bit food court-y but more upscale. Food is 3 stars, but it’s always so ridiculously packed that the only way to enjoy is is really to call ahead. We’ve rarely had issues with our orders and the guys here are definitely friendly enough for how busy they are. If you order here, make sure to have your order ready, or you’ll back up the line and folks behind you won’t be so happy. They used to have a regular egg salad sammy that was quite delicious, but they don’t always have the time to make egg salad anymore(that’s how busy they are!). Some of the staples are the Nico, Tony Bennett, and Sinatra, and the Spiro’s plate is a nice little mediterranean box(most of them about $ 10). Bonus points for being able to order anything«naked»(make it a salad) to accommodate casual or serious gluten-free diets!

Every time I pass Caffe Pazzo, it’s completely crowded. The wait is usually around 20 – 30 minutes. The food here is very average, but this shop gets so much traffic, it probably makes bank regardless of food quality. That being said, this place makes decent light sandwich and salads. Don’t expect any heavy foods. Whatever you choose, just don’t get the Ahi Tuna. The one I ordered was completely stale.

I hate giving a bad review to a good restaurant. Pains me. But whoever is running this place needs to take note! I have been a long time patron of Café Pazzo, and I have finally hit the end of my rope. They have good food, but quite possibly the worst service in the industry. It’s almost as if the customer is BOTHERING the staff to be there. Well, the message is loud and clear Pazzo, I wont BOTHER giving you any more of my money. Today, ordering 2 salads was a nearly an impossible task. I called for 30 minutes straight, reaching an automated message with no voicemail. The phone was clearly off the hook.(I have personally seen them take the phone off the hook many times.) Apparently they are still accepting FAX(seriously, who has a fax machine anymore!!!) for which they require 45 minutes to prepare. This is not industry standard. So, I persistently drive over. As the only customer in the café I wait for several minutes while multiple waiters chatted behind the counter, no one giving me a second glance. Their chatter sounded unimportant. When I finally interrupted and requested service I was told they were not ready for customers(although they had been technically open for some time…) and I was told to wait again. Finally, I placed the order and waited for my number to be called. The salads sat on the counter and no one bothered to let me know. Lastly, once I got back to work I discovered they screwed up my order. Dear Pazzo, this is unacceptable. I would not feel so strongly if this was a one time offensive. The ordering process is antiquated and your staff is not friendly or accommodating. Clearly poor management.

So i decided that during my business trip to San Fran to stop into one of my favorite places to eat, Caffe Pazzo! They put out consistant dishes and have expertly timed staff. I wanted for nothing and was treated like royalty. As fate would have it I asked, «who this mystery man was that was meeting my deepest culinary desires?» «Jacques, he replied.» It was the SAME rock star that made my Pazzo experience a delight over a year ago! The food and the service are rock steady, if your heading into Pazzo… ask for Jacques and get the seared ahi sandwhich!

Solid lunch option in this part of town. Seared Ahi sandwich and Bambino baguette and the soups were solid.

If you are a vegetarian and you don’t like salads then avoid this place. Other than salad they just have grilled cheese which isnt tasty and has nothing in it. but will still costs around $ 6

I’m a big fan of the Napa salad(Baby greens and romaine, cranberries, candied walnuts, blue cheese, house vinaigrette) — it’s so yummy that I’ve never felt the inclination to veer from this order in the few years I’ve been coming to Pazzo. I’m boring that way(and also vegetarian, which limits the options to begin with). The lovely high ceilings indoors make this a pleasant destination, as does the outdoor seating when the weather’s nice. However, as other reviewers have mentioned, the service can be pretty slow, and I’ve also seen a bit of attitude here and there. On the whole, though, I’m always up for Pazzo if a coworker suggests it for lunch, so I’ll round up from the 3.5 stars I’d realistically award it.

This place is close to where I work, very convenient.(Considering there aren’t many spots for food around this area. I LOVE their Chicken Breast Salad with fresh fruit, its cheap and fresh. Tips: CALLINEARLY to place the order.

I want to give high marks. Seriously. Your Spiro plate is one of my favorites, and your sandwiches are tasty. 2⁄2 Stars for the grub. The 3 other stars that did not make it to my rating was the service and the long wait to get food. Am I just unlucky? I average 16 minutes before I get my order. Today was the clincher: 28 minutes for a salad. Figure it out, guys. Soon.

Not a bad lunch spot, but there are items to stay away from. Their tuna melt isn’t great. Lots of places to sit(note there is an upstairs), plus some outdoor seating. The complimentary bread with oil/balsamic is a nice touch.

This place is near my office, so I go here regularly. I have a hard time NOT ordering the Seared Ahi Fattoush salad every visit. It’s amazing with its deliciously acidic vinaigrette dressing, fresh vegetables, crostini and PLENTIFUL ahi chunks. I get cravings for this salad when I’m not in the office. Other delicious food options include the daily soups and cold sandwiches. Full disclosure, though, I haven’t tried a warm sandwich yet. I have no doubt they are amazing, though. In terms of online ordering, I’ve placed a few orders for pick-up and have never had an issue. Most times, though, I’ll just walk over and order since the lunch line isn’t too bad. A little pricey, but I like the healthy meal option in an area that isn’t exactly food central.

During my first and only time that I visited Caffe Pazzo last week, I was quite under-impressed. I ordered the vegetable brodo soup and a side greek salad. The food was okay, definitely a solid 3 stars. However, the service was extremely slow. It took 20 minutes to get a small cup of soup(which is already made) and a salad(which takes 5 minutes to make). I would understand if their was a line out the door, but it wasn’t even that busy. I get that this isn’t a fast-food joint, but at a nice sit-down restaurant, it takes around 20 minutes to get your food. The main concept: if you are going to be a «order-at-the-counter, pick-up-at-the-counter» place, than it should probably take around 10 minutes at most to pick up a small soup and salad. Overall, it takes too long to get your food, but I guess if you place an order ahead of time by phone or online, than that gets rid of the problem!
