I probably eat here once a week. I’m a picky eater and they naturally make my sandwiches to perfection. Fun and friendly staff, its always super clean, and the only thing I would change is the hours– they close SOEARLY!

GREAT breakfast burritos. And super affordable, especially for this neighborhood. I haven’t tried anything besides the bfast burritos, but I have tried the vegetarian and the ham&egg&cheese, both great! The rest of the food always looks delicious. Fried shrimp, tri-tip, deviled eggs, can’t wait to go back and try! Breakfast ends at 11am!

JB’s place is my favorite go-to place for lunch when I’m at work! The people that work there are very friendly and personable. The food comes out fast and is very delicious :)! Get the chicken Caesar salad

JB’s Place is a family owned staple in the Potrero Hill neighborhood. This little place has been here for decades and refuses to change like everything else in the hood. Just around the corner from Jackson park and walking distance from the Anchor Steam brewery and what was formerly Potrero Hill Middle School(now ISA). Serving up everything from incredible breakfast plates, sandwiches and burritos to deli sandwiches(get the dutch crunch, it’s amazing), hearty salads and daily lunch specials. All done with love and care like you are being served by your own family. If you come in often you will be greeted by name and the staff will remember your standard order and will hit you with a «would you like the usual» when you enter. Kinda like a deli version of Cheers. Do yourself a favor and order a breakfast burrito, you will NOT be disappointed! Wishing the owners and staff nothing but the best, keep up the great work and PLEASEKEEPDOINGWHATYOUHAVEBEENFORYEARS! Too much has changed on the Hill in the past decade and the locals need to continue to support the handful of businesses that have been around since the 80’s.

Im torn about my rating. The service is great and I love the sandwiches but the muffins they carry are the worst. The blueberry is like a thick piece of dough. Very dry and not flavorful. Very disappointed.

JBs Place is a cool deli/diner tucked in ok the back side of Potrero Hill. The dining room is very clean, they have a fully stocked display case with a variety of beverages. I ordered an omelette with home fries, and they were accommodating since it qas at the breakfast cut off time. While we were ordering, we noticed they were making fresh ceviche. It looked so tasty, I want to come back some weekend to try it. This place has plenty of items on the menu, and serves breakfast and lunch with drip coffee always ready to go! I recommend it next time you near Potrero Hill.

Ive been hearing great reviews before coming here, so i decided to try them and Im so glad that I did!. They have a great variety of food for breakfast, lunch but I must say their chicken ceaser salad is so good, on top of that it is served hot. Please try it, you will love it! Great customer service, they are very nice and make you feel welcomed

The sandwiches are VERYGOOD. Produce is great. Cashier spends too much time talking with customers when other people need to be helped though.

This place rocks. Good food and good people. I love getting the cheese burger here. I love combing here. They also know my name. I also love that this place has free WiFi. I would like to see more JB’s Place locations. It would be also nice if they accepted Apple Pay.

Another vote for JB’s place! We went to grab a lunch and had great service and excellent food. Sandwiches and fries mainly, but very generous portions and well cooked. The place was like an oven on a hot day so we decided to take away, if it had been cooler I would have liked to stay and savour the atmosphere. If I am ever in the area again I will be straight back for the steak sandwich again.

So it was my first time and out of town. I’m a home chef and like to think that I know good food… So I used Unilocal to help me and they did. I had the grilled steak sandwich add tomatoes and lettuce and it was pretty damn good plus it looked like they had many other great sandwiches :) cheers

My wife and I frickin’ love this place. We get breakfast and or lunch there whenever we’re around Potrero Hill, and EVERYTHING tastes good. Plus, the staff and owners are all SUPER friendly, actually care about there craft, and always check they get your order right. I like to sit down and watch the morning news over a hot breakfast inside, or if it’s sunny, there are a couple of tables outside too. Then sometimes, I’ll pick up a sandwich to-go and be sorted for my lunch. Prices are oddly inexpensive, I never quite figured out why but I’m not complaining. My only complaint is that JBs closes early, I think at 4pm, but I get that too. The staff look like they actually have a life and enjoy their work, probably because they DON’t work 18 hours a day. Keep it up, we’d buy the t-shirt if there was one!

I took my 5 year old here for lunch, it’s right around the corner from Jackson Playground in Potrero. He had a grilled cheese and I had falafel wrap. We also shared a package of fresh cut fruit. While appearances make this place look like a run of the mill sandwich/snack shop, everything was surprisingly tasty and made with care. The environment and employees were super friendly. If you get the falafel wrap make sure to get it spicy, the sauce added an excellent dimension to an already solid meal. I want to come back and try more menu items.

This place is great and is super convenient since it’s located right next to my school. The sandwiches are huge and delicious, along with everything else. The staff is super friendly and will remember you if you go in there often. Super clean place and has a really good drink selection. Only bummer is they close so early.

JB’s!!! Love this place! This place takes care of my breakfast cravings! Great breakfast and lunch place! Great service and good hearty food!!! Coffee is great, eggs any style with bacon and hash browns are a must when getting breakfast here! If you’re looking for some great food at an affordable price JB’s shouldn’t disappoint!

I’m borderline devastated that I’ve worked three blocks away from JB’s for over three years, and I have JUSTNOW come here for a sandwich. Amazing sandwich. It was like, everything that I want in between two slices of bread. And FYI — their Dutch Crunch is the best. It’s crispy on top and soft and chewy throughout — not like pretty much the rest of San Francisco’s sad offerings of the type. Also, thank you for being generous with the mayo and mustard. I hate a dry sandwich! Future lunch customer 4eva.

At first I thought it was an abandoned business from years ago. Commonly walking by in the evening, this«JB’s Place» that often popped up on my Unilocal searches seemed elusive. It took me many months before I read the business hours and learned they were open for breakfast & lunch. Then I made a point to try it out. Simply put, this is a place you will eat at often once you’ve been here once. A feel of a diner meets corner store, they specialize in specials. Every day is an adventure with what they’ll highlight. And I’m not just talking about a new sandwich, I’m talking about straight up home style meals like chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and salad or Mediterranean salads. The sandwiches you ask? Oh yes, these are tasty. Plenty of meat options. Plenty of veggie options. And an array of salads to take on the side if you want to skip the chips or just go big for the day. If you’re local, you’ll already be a regular. If you’re close by and wondering if it’s worth the jaunt, yeah, it is.
