New owners. Friendlier service. Very neat and clean for a place for basics, beverages, snacks, and now VIETNAMESESANDWICHES! More tasty meat for the price than some nearby places. The«deli» is a new addition so don’t know if they will add more stuff, but now has spring rolls, bbq chicken and pork and vegetarian bahn mi(sandwiches). You can call and order to save time, as they make each order fresh.

‘ll fully admit I «didn’t get» this place at first, but time after poking around a few times I’ve landed some great scores and am now using it as my primary convenience store, keeping in mind the shortcomings. Here’s some examples of my success: — Ginormous bag of jasmine rice for $ 10. Suck it, Costco! — 8 oz red bull for $ 2 even. Liberty wants $ 2.75, which is why I really hate Liberty — For when I wanna get buzzed, bigass can of Asahi for $ 3.50 As a bonus, when I buy the Asahi here they always look me over with skepticism and go «hmmm…how old?!?». I reply«32», show my ID, and they laugh. Cute.

I came here looking for rice. And they had it. Same rice as I’d buy elsewhere, but closer. Took a quick mental inventory of everything else they have here. It’s a little sparse. But if you’re into Asian groceries and you know what you want, or you’re simply too lazy to walk another 15 blocks down Clement Street, you may find what you need here. Even if it’s just a 10 lb. bag of rice.

Not much variety compared to other stores BUT it’s a neighborhood store and they sell Kimbap for 3.50 + frozen salted Mackerel… so this is good enough for me when I’m too lazy to drive out

An Old hard working Korean couple been here for a while. I like these old fellas. They speak a little English so I can relate to them. They might have hard time to deal with Americans tried to communicate with them but they don’t understand the English. I keep coming here because their KimChee is great, Natto is cheap, Great deal on wild rice and sesame seeds, great selection of Dried Seaweed, Cheap Kon-nyaku. Their Big Freezer has tons of secret stuff in it. You have to dig deep. I found Men-Taiko(spicy cod roe) the other day, Yatta! But, you donno how old that is… Do you know that all of Asians(including Russians believe or not) love to keep everything and don’t like to waste food no matter how old and eat everything? Yah, especially ex-communist groups have similar habit. Well, Maybe this place is specificly focus on Asians only. If you are a white, black or latino person, you may not find anything in here. I think Chinese won’t come here either. Korean-only Market! Well, they have plenty Japo stuff too. Japan has big Korean influence for more than 2000 years. Guess what? Japo Emperor family came from the peninsula for crying out loud. Original Japo maybe only«Aino(=AINU). Anyway… It’s like a little«KuJuke, Daly City» on Clement. People! There are Non-English Speaking people in San Francisco. It’s like… inside of 30 Stockton. Nobody speaks English in 30 Stockton except the driver. Most of them are Chinese with pink plastic bags, French tourists, German, Scandinavian and Mexican kitchen-helpers. No, No, that’s not a good ending. I just want to say… I really didn’t realized how close we are, until I walked in this place about 20 years ago about Korean and Japanese groceries.
