We had a fabulous meal. I ordered the pesto chicken pizza with sun-dried tomatoes and husband had the spinach lasagna, was so delicious! Definitely going back again!!!

The service was friendly but pizza quality was disappointing. We ordered a pizza to go. It was burnt, the wrong cheese was used, and it was missing seasoning.

I really want to give this place a 4, but it just felt slightly lacking in some areas. Came here on a weekend for dinner, the place was not too busy if you have a small party. The restaurant itself is really tiny so it can’t seat much, but it was really quaint and I loved it. Started off with some bread and bruschetta. I really enjoyed how their bread was these small buns with some olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The bruschetta was also pretty good with the bread being topped with cheese, pesto, honey, and hazelnuts. For my main course, I had the bolognese which was ok, but nothing exceptional. It didn’t have as much flavor as I expected it to have considering how long it supposedly cooked. It was nice to know that a lot of their things are made in house though which I thought was very cool. Really wish I had had room for dessert, they had a lot to offer as well in that area. A cool spot in SF, I could see this as being a great date spot.

Second visit, not disappointed. I had the pasta bolagnese. This delish version had no tomato sauce as is common. It was the best I have ever had including that I had in Bologna. The wine used in the recipe was indescribable. I complimented the manager and he shined. After the meal he brought us a complimentary hugh tarimasu. What perfection! Small place seating about 25 people, but worth a wait.

Thanks Pachino for letting me reserve a table for 20 during the busy Nike Women’s Half Marathon weekend. We pretty much took over the entire restaurant. The service was excellent considering it was a super busy weekend and they were pretty much packed to the brim with people. They even had to send people away. My friends enjoyed the specials. Me and a friend shared the spaghetti and meatballs which were delicious! Thank you again for your service and delicious food!

We ended up getting the cheese ravioli and veggie pizza with wine. Everything was delicious and the host was very friendly! Highly recommend this place.

This is the best Italian I’ve had in a while. We ordered the vegetarian Verdure pizza and the Orecchiette Pachino pasta. The pasta was definitely the best I’ve had in a really long time. The sauce was really subtle yet creamy and the serving size was just right for a single person. The pizza is standard size and is enough for two. The pizza wasn’t extraordinary but very good. The owner/manager of this place gave us a very warm welcome and helped us decide on the dishes. The ambience is cozy and personal. Overall, I loved this place.

WARNING: THEOWNEROFTHISESTABLISHMENTMAKESCUSTOMERSSUBSIDIZETHEHEALTHCAREOFHISEMPLOYEES! It will be added to your bill. Now about the food: VERYGOOD: burrata with eggplants, short rib ravioli and spinach-mushroom caneloni OK, not great: bucatoni alla carbonara — It had some missing ingredients: finely chopped prosciutto(it only had coarsely cut bacon), chopped hard-boiled egg, fresh-grated cheese, and more cream — I added table parmesan, and it was better. The owner forgot to bring a large spoon to help eat the long pasta, which was perfectly cooked al dente. GREAT: the tiramisù was well-made, a 9 out of 10. NASTY: the Sicilian canolli was very stale(like an old tortilla chip) and not cold enough. PRICES: Like most SF Italian restaurants, it is priced about 20% above an equitable price/quality ratio. OK to go back if you like to help subsidized the restauranteur’s employees. ITISTIMEFOR A LIVINGWAGEFORALL. VOTEBERNIESANDERSIN2016!

If I can give negative stars I would. This place promised to do catering for 45 people at a proper time. The food was came extremely late, mind you this is a corporate company that ordered the catering, so time is valuable. The food came 1 hour late, everything was sloppily thrown together, even some of the pasta tasted like vomit. In addition, none the trays that were served were only ¼ full. When called to complain, the owner laughed in our face, was extremely rude and unprofessional, and even asked if he can wash our car instead of refunding the money. First of all– you’re an hour late and then you serve food that tastes like vomit?! Seriously? NEVEREAT or ORDER from here, you will regret it!!! Canned pasta sauce from Safeway tastes better than this.

It’s a 3.5 star rating. It’s a small place but was pretty busy and pricey as you would expect for any place in SF. We ordered a bean soup which was not good. We had vegetable lasagna and veggie pizza which were good. Pizza was the best of all.

No on the nonna spaghetti. Good meat balls but no on pasta. Mine was pad thai with tomato sauce(at least thats what it tasted like.) I ate the meat balls and left the pasta. I was excited to taste the«fresh» pasta but was disappointed by the texture and taste. Sauce was overly sour. Over priced for this meal. See pics. Its the spaghetti with the comments pad thai meets italian.

This small italian joint is pretty small and cramped but serves great pastas! We walked in without a reservation and got their pasta special. I would definitely come back again! great find :)

Cute little Italian place in SF. It actually makes you feel like you’re somewhere in Italy. They had a good selection of food and service was decent too – being the girls we are, we asked to take a picture for us and she was so cheerful and friendly about it! The food was good but nothing out of the ordinary –margherita extra(with burrata instead of mozzarella): tomato sauce was good but the crust was soggy –carbonara: a bit too dry -**pappardelle: probably the best dish we got tonight. Hearty and moist! Loved it! This doesn’t mean I won’t ever come back. I probably will, but it probably won’t be the first on the list of good Italian restaurants.

The homemade pasta is great however I regret what I ordered — the spaghetti carbonara. Carbonara was terribly bland, the pasta didn’t have bite and there seemed to be a slight fishy undertaste even though the only meat was the pancetta. Disappointing. However husband’s 3 meat pappardelle was perfect. Hearty meaty sauce and a nice, paper thin pappardelle pasta. Service could be better. I believe it is because there is one person going around taking orders/serving and he gets distracted and then people are kept waiting like we were. But not as long as the couple next to us. They were still waiting for the food when we had already finished and was heading our way towards the exit. The thing is they only ordered 5 minutes after we placed our order. Although not terrible I most likely won’t be hurrying back anytime soon. But who knows?

This is our first visited and learned it was cozy and warm. I noticed one of their chef who stared at us. I understood because we used sign language for our communicated. It’s okay to look at us shortly, not that way too long. Secondly, There was not that busy but why it took so long. We waited little a while. Slow service. Third, I always give a nice tips however, I noticed on our check. It indicated below«SFEMPLOYERMANDATE». I was not sure if this is normal to all San Francisco restaurants. I checked with waitress and needed to understand about this. She is unsure and checked with Host. She took her head and rolled eyes. Last, This is Pachino Trattoria & Pizzeria, NOT Belden Taverna #1. How come, my check indicated with a different restaurant’s name and address. I told her not to worry and we needed to go. I paid with nice tips plus their Employer Mandate. Please watch out their hidden cost as SFEMPLOYERMANDATE. I put two stars and will not come back again. Check my photo.

Why do I keep forgetting about this place? Every time. Every. Single. Time I’m in the neighborhood and whip out my Unilocal app, I go, «oooh, an Italian joint that’s 0.1 miles from here.» When I walk-up to it, I realize I’ve already been here. Twice. This has happened two times already. Damn you, aging brain! It’s like Dory from Finding Nemo. The first time, I had a fantastic margerita extra pizza, with extra mozzarella: The second time, I went for the pappardelle with meat sauce: Both meals tasty, but nothing to write home about. One of these days, I should«forget» I’ve been here and test out that tiramisu.

Pizza, unfortunately, is one of those things that almost any idiot can make. You just need a flat piece of dough, some cheese, and some red sauce. But God really is in the details. I travel to Italy quite a bit, so I eat a lot of pizza. In Italy, pizzerias are more common than Starbucks. Well, that’s an unfair comparison, since there are actually no Starbucks in Italy. But you get the idea. I really wanted to like the pizza here, because I like the people. And they use really good, authentic ingredients. But sadly, it all comes together in a wet soggy mess that you cannot even pick up. So, although I like the flavor, the structure is a complete fail. I did not have a chance to try the pasta, but you should try. You may have way better luck. The cannolis on the other hand, are pretty interesting. They’re not perfect(the filling could really benefit from a touch of Strega) but they are one of the best cannolis I’ve had in the US, including those from Boston’s famed North End(which really are abysmal). The shells are as crisp as light as parchment paper, filled with a pretty decent ricotta and pistachio cream.

It was 9pm & my girlfriends & I were all starving. The only thing we were craving was pizza, & we stumbled upon this place as we were walking. As the table was set & glasses were served, my friend noticed a lipstick stain on one of the cups, which was very disgusting. I’m sure the staff felt embarrassed by this but they switched the cup right away & apologized. Although the place itself is very small, they were able to seat the 8 of us, which was a little cramped but not bad. We ordered 3 pizzas for the table, which was plenty. Two of the Sicilia, which was topped with eggplant & one Margherita. The sauce spread on the Margherita pizza was amazing!

Worst restaurant experience I’ve ever experienced in SF thus far. Service: Lacking to the extreme. Why is it so hard for us to get them to come take our money but yet again so fast to clear our plates when I wasn’t even done with the food? I ended up just saying yes, I’m done since I just wanted to leave this place. Pizzas: Extremely subpar. I would not recommend this place to anyone. My friend and I are both from NY so we know what good pizzas taste this. This doesn’t even come close to decent… We came to this place because the ramen restaurant we wanted to eat at was closed and we saw in about ~300 reviews, this place has 4 stars. We are both equally confused how this is possible… Anyways, I would save your money and go elsewhere if you want any sort of decent food or service.

We came here for dinner as I needed to carb load prior to a half marathon. Luckily we arrived before 6p because after 630p this place was packed. And when we left around 730p, there was a long line outside with large parties. I’m not sure if they were short staffed or if the customer service needs help. As soon as we arrived(there was another party ahead of us), the employees who were there didn’t acknowledge us. We all just stood there. It wasn’t as if they didn’t see us either since we were cluttered at the entrance and they were going back and forth inside and out for the patio tables. After about 10 mins of standing around, both our parties were finally acknowledged and we both were led to our respective tables. We ordered the following: –Comp bread(not warm) with olive oil. –Spaghetti Pachino($ 14): Grape tomato, garlic, basil and olive oil –Pappardelle Alla Bolongnese($ 16): 3 meat sauce My pachino pasta was very simple and bland. I had to add some salt to taste as well as some of the meat sauce from the other dish to my pasta so I had a little more substance. Love the cute ambiance with limited indoor and outdoor seating. Make reservations and, if it’s busy, be prepared not to receive stellar service.
