Came for dinner and my and I thoroughly enjoyed most of what we ordered. To start off our meal, we had the Deviled Eggs, Popped Elote, Spiced Potato Chips, and Bagna Cauda, and Chicken Liver Mousse. The first four came as a set with the restaurant week prix fixe menu. The pâté was added as a gluttonous a la carte addition. Our runaway favorites were the popped elote and the chicken liver mousse. The deviled egg was pretty solid too, but nothing to rave about. We both weren’t a fan of the horseradish-chive crema that came with the spiced potato chips — definitely a little too strong on the palate. As for the bagna cauda, I enjoyed most of the root vegetables. They were roasted nicely and pretty delicious, but they were also served over a severely burnt crostini, completely inedible. For our entrees, my friend had the pan roasted salmon and I went with the pappardelle. My friend could not stop raving about the salmon. It was buttery and perfectly flaky. She wasn’t a big fan of the accompanying lentils though. I thought my pappardelle was done rather well. The pork cheeks were plentiful and fall apart tender. The kale, mushrooms, and peas also provided a nice change in texture. I cleared this plate with ease… very enjoyable in my opinion! For dessert, we tried the pot de crème and the ricotta zeppoles. The zeppoles were delicious! Fluffy and not too sweet. The two accompanying sauces were also divine! I loved the bourbon caramel sauce but the chai crème anglaise also provided a pretty refreshing twist. The pot de crème was very smooth, but pretty rich in my opinion. The scotch undertone did help to change up the flavor profile though. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my eating experience at Myriad Gastropub. Service was also very friendly. Our server, Patrick, was very attentive and definitely made our dining experience very enjoyable. I would most definitely be open to coming back to try more of their fun, globally inspired menu!

Friends and I booked a table and arrived for the SF Restaurant Week around 12:20 pm. The hostess was so kind and lovely, even though we ended up being a little late due to traffic! First off, let me say that the ambiance is so different and clean — sort of hipster yet modern with their wooden tables and different artwork/mirrors lining their walls — such a change from mission street. We each got an order of popped elote, 2 small biscuits with butter and jam, and a main course. I got the ham and cheese sandwich with home fries(the other choices were a pork hash and shakshuka). The appetizers were pretty delicious — not life-changing, but enough to satiate the appetite while you wait for your main meal. My sandwich looked like a gourmet version of a breakfast sandwich… but it tasted better than one haha~ the bun was similar to a hamburger bun, but light and fluffy(and buttery?)! The home fries were just … potatoes… I used a lot of hot sauce to bring more flavor to my dishes. The other dishes looked way better in my opinion though. For the pre-fix course meal, it was a little pricey, yet I can’t complain too much because I ate everything that was given to me. If you want a standard brunch meal for the restaurant week, I recommend you come here!(My friends said their cocktails were delicious~~)

Myriad was great! The service was excellent and the space is super cute. Everything was great. 5 stars for the vegetarian squash entrée — amazingly delicious! It was a really nice bean ragout with broccolini and squash. The kale side was also excellent. Mom loved the pappardelle — great pasta with really good mushroom ragu. Happy hour specials were excellent. Apple cobler dessert was awesome.

Maybe this is more of a brunch place? We came for dinner and some things were great, others just mediocre. The farm toast and the apple crisp were both very good. The burger and steak fries were a solid mediocre. I’m not dying to come back here, but if nothing else, the service was fast and friendly and the drink menu was solid.

* $ 111.00 for 4 cocktails, one snack, two small plates, one large plate and one desert. Pros: * Super friendly staff. * Online reservations made things smooth and easy. * Great service from the hostess, waiter, and bus-staff. * Delicious food. ‘Farm Toast’ was amazing, ‘Chicken Sammies’ were awesome, ‘Hanger Steak’ was perfect, and the ‘Butter-with-scotch’ desert was so good we almost ordered a second one. Cons: * Overpriced cocktails by the volume. Specialty cocktail was $ 10 for a 5.5 ounce coupe cocktail glass. $ 8 Stout was not even in a proper pint glass. It was served in a 10 or 12 ounce glass. * The Bone Marrow small plate is very tasty. But you hardly get anything with this dish. Quantity to value is not there. Do not order this. * Not only do I dislike that restaurants want their customers to pay for San Francisco’s health care access program. Myriad adds their 4% HSF fee after taxes. I understand the city charges businesses an hourly fee for each employee who needs HSF. But, restaurants should simply raise the menu prices to cover the HSF costs.

Solid brunch spot. Myriad is one of the nicer places on Mission St, but don’t let the sketchy street deter you from coming here! The actual restaurant has a good ambiance, and is never too crowded. We ordered the french toast and grits with vegetables. The french toast was quite a large portion, but I enjoyed every bite of the fluffy, fried bread. I loved the bacon and pecan pieces on top as well. The grits were amazing — a nice smooth consistency with fresh and interesting vegetables. If I had to pick one, I’d go with the grits! I plan on coming again to try their dinner!

Nice place. I learned about Myriad Gastro Pub from a co-worker. I bookmarked it and figured that next time I’m in the area, I’d check it out. Well, last night we had spontaneously decided to go have dinner in the city with friends and not being a fan of waiting in line, I checked out the reservable restaurant on Unilocal.Top of the list: Myriad Gastro Pub! No sooner reserved than thought, we were already on our way… The word ‘Gastro Pub’ evokes memories of the time I lived in London where these places are popping up like mushrooms after the rain. While this is technically speaking not a Gastro Pub, the menu and ambience certainly lived up to the name. What I really liked about this place was the friendly service $ the manageable menu(not too many but only not too few choices). Our waiter walked us through the menu and pointed out his favorites as well as the popular items. I went for the Moroccan lamb sandwich and the devil egg. I really liked the sandwich, especially the side salad which had a lovely spiced dressing. All four of us were, unfortunately, a bit underwhelmed by the desserts.

Myriad is only a few blocks away from our house and had been eyeing this restaurant for awhile but the menu was always«ifs and maybe’s» for me and bad reviews on service. The TONY wanted steak and was being very particular that night and I couldn’t Unilocal anything we could both enjoy so compromise ensued. I walk by this place every night on my way home off the Bart and never seems too packed but not in a bad way. Always comes off as a good«communal friends dinner» vibe. We had a small table for us in the back but still comfortable and a very easy going atmosphere and accommodating waiter. Of course we ordered the deviled eggs(I may have ordered more when the BF was in the bathroom but it is what it is), chicken liver mousse, bottle of wine, and he had the Hangar steak while I jumped to the butternut squash soup at the last minute. All good and reliable dishes; what stood out for us was the chicken liver mousse. HUGE portion; I could spend days eating this. I love you. Marry Me. Don’t let the BF see this. I liked the butternut squash soup as well; simple and nice drizzle of oil on top. But again, most places can do soup just fine. The reason for 3 stars; BF was like A-ok on steak and deviled eggs. Mind you, we had Marlowe the night before and that got us all twisted on great deviled eggs. I want to go back and will go back; heard horrible things from friends on atrocious service who go there often(which kept us from lingering in ever); so hopefully they cleared out the bad staff.

4.5 stars. Solid neighborhood place in the mission. The food is excellent, especially the cochinita pubil(very authentic mexican food inspired). There was a bit of citrus that gives structure and balance to the pork dish. other things that we ordered: bone marrow — solid, one large bone marrow, like the sauce that they had accompanied it which cuts through the richness of the marrow market salad with kale — interesting medley of californian ingredients parpadelle with pork cheeks — super tender, pasta cooked just right. we devoured it within minutes. Also the bottle of pinot noir from santa lucia mountain that we ordered was excellent. very smooth and balanced. Pretty laid back during the weekdays — not a problem getting a reservation at the last minute.

In my opinion, pickled veggies in a jar is very 2013⁄14. I was really into it back then, everywhere I went I must had my jar of pickled, that and watermelon salad. It was perhaps one of the primary reasons I went back to Citizen Band so much. it had both. So when he exclaimed, «they have pickled veggies. We have to get that.» I was a bit of underwhelmed. But seeing that he shared my prior enthusiasm, albeit, two years too late, I did not want to turn him down. No one dared to turn me down when I was going through that pickled phase. Myriad Gastro has a very interesting selection of pickles. They were pretty and crisp. A nice contrast to the dark interior. Fried chicken sammies were very good. You know it’s listed as small bite but it’s not really. A perfect sharable dish. Pasta was good. They were nice enough to split it down the middle. Sadly it encouraged me to eat more. I am a lot shorter and ought to eat less. But it is the right amount of pasta, eating it all by yourself would mean a lot of trail miles and it’s not worth it. So absolutely do divide the dish up into two. I realized that this was the restaurant that we’d have wanted to come for brunch. I was wrong about pickles being so passé. After eating here that evening, I did nothing but thinking about their pickles. I’ve gone so far to pin several recipes to my Pintrest board, all featured that unique colorful combo of veggies. Now I just need to make it. Unless, we make it back before the water is boiled to make the brine.

Nice atmosphere, attentive service, above average food. 3.5 rating. I went with a group of 6 people on a Thursday night and found it pleasantly uncrowded but still lively. The drink and food menu is well curated with a nice selection of cocktails, wines, small bites and entrees. I’m not so sure if «gastropub» is the best way to characterize Myriad, as I think it’s a little more sophisticated and upscale. It’s still a great place to socialize on a date or with a slightly larger group for drinks and fun foods. The menu is divided into bites, small plates, and large plates. I’m in agreement with most of the Unilocalers that the small plates are better than the larger ones. The farm toast, salads, and my shrimp and grits were better than the larger plates such as salmon, steak, and burger. Some people in my company thought the food was a tad salty, although I enjoyed my shrimp and grits. All in all, I enjoyed my time at Myriad; the price and portions are all reasonable, the atmosphere is just dark and pleasant enough to be comfortable, and service was friendly. I’d love to come back for brunch!

Came here last Sunday. The ambience is quite charming. We four ordered biscuits, deviled egg, wagyu sandwich, shakshuka*2, and Mayan pulled pork. The biscuits we’re not as fresh as we expected, mainly because the texture was not very fluffy, instead it’s more like staled bread. The herb flavor was not quite infused as well. The honey butter didn’t really pick up the honey flavor.(I thought it should be honey, correct me if it was just plain butter). Deviled egg is absolutely spot on! The sandwich and pulled pork are very good. Except the the beef was a bit over cooked. And a little bit hard to chew. The shakshuka(don’t know if I spelled it correctly) has rich flavor of tomato and herbs, but I think they should have reduce the sauce a bit more, it is very liquidy, that made it hard to eat with the corn pancake thing they served on the side. I think by reducing the sauce a bit more will enhance the flavor as well. The dessert — butter scotch pot de crème was very rich. I like the two shortbread cookies!

The brunch is incredible. I had the challah French toast along with the zeppoles to start and the French toast was the best I’ve had. Great presentation and the bacon bourbon syrup is very, very good. The service was awesome and very attentive. This place is a gem in the mission. Highly recommend.

In Cali, things move a bit slower then they do on the East coast. Everyone is very chill, laid back and relaxed… and sometimes because of that, things tend to take a bit longer. I came in for dinner with a few coworkers last week, and our dinner took over three hours. Not complaining at all. After a long day it was nice to relax and unwind over delicious food and drinks. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and took a great deal of time to walk us through each course and give us tips on what to order(which was pretty much everything on the menu). We started with dranks, naturally. Something very unique about Myriad is that although they don’t serve liquor(wine and beer only) they have various cocktail options made with different types of beer and wine. I went with the sandbar which was really fruity and had prosecco in it. Yum! We shared a couple of small plates including farm toast, fried cod balls and grilled peach and goat cheese salad. The farm toast was definitely the highlight(as promised by the waiter) and had a delicious creamy cheese and homemade tart plum jam. Okay, so about an hour and a half later, we were on to ordering our mains. I ordered the pappardelle with beef cheeks, minus the beef cheeks. I don’t care if they are a delicacy, anything with beef cheeks in it’s name is not going in my stomach. The dish was great either way, and was almost reminiscent of something you’d order at a thai spot. Noodles sauteed in some kind of brown sauce with mixed veggies like straw mushrooms and kale. Soooo good that I had to finish every last bite. And then, on to dessert. This time we didn’t order and instead the waiter told us to trust him. At this point in the meal, I definitely did. He brought out an assortment of things– ice cream sandwiches with fresh berry ice cream, butterscotch custard and fried dough balls. Obviously this guy really knew a thing or two about how to impress five ladies. Three hours later, we left full and satisfied. Although it’s in a bit of a seedier area in the mission, don’t bypass this spot. It’s totally worth the hype.

My group all agreed that this gem of a place seemed a bit out of place where it’s located in the mission. In the half a block I had to walk from my über to the restaurant one of my trusty flip flops gave out on me and I had to slide my way to the restaurant since hopping in one flip flop isn’t an option when you’re 7 months pregnant. Fortunately my colleagues came to my rescue and bought me a pair of comfortable new flip flops at one of the surrounding stores for only $ 4. Score! Once I had shoes we met our lovely waiter. His name is escaping me, but he is the proud older brother of the chef. In fact, when we asked for recommendations of what’s good from the menu we discovered there isn’t anything he does NOT like. And so we ordered a bunch of things to share… at least to start. All of it was good, but my favorite was what we named ourselves as fish balls. We opted for our own entrees and I got the pasta option. It usually comes with pork cheeks, but no thanks for me. It was still very flavorful without the pork cheeks. No good meal ends without dessert. Since our waiter hadn’t let us wrong get we asked him to put together a few desserts for our party of 7 which included some donuts, butterscotch pudding(yum) and something else that is escaping me but didn’t keep me from eating it. It was a very leisurely meal. By the time we left several hours had gone by yet we didn’t wait particularly long for anything to come back. Very enjoyable and I wish all the luck to our waiter’s little sis! I can see why he’s proud.

OHEMGEE, I WASINFOODIEHEAVEN at Myriad. I did not try one thing that was even somewhat average. Everything was absolutely incredible {including the service!}. I loved their trendy, rustic atmosphere and even got some inspiration for my house! For snacks & small plates, we split the deviled eggs, farm toast {Aaamazing, the perfect combination of sweet & tart}, bacalaitos {Adult fish sticks in the form of balls aka perfection} & grilled peaches {I’m totally making this at home, best idea ever!}. I would highly recommend all 4 of these dishes. For my entrée, I ordered the grilled hanger steak and it was off the charts. If you are a steak lover, this dish is a must. It had a Spanish flair with one sauce that very closely resembled chimichurri. YUM, my mouth is watering just writing this. I almost {literally} licked my plate. For dessert, you cannot leave without ordering their butterscotch pot o’ heaven. They have a unique cocktail menu that was really impressive. They only have a beer & wine license but somehow created the most sensational craft«cocktails» using an impressive list of ingredients. Don’t come here planning to get a plain ol’ gin & tonic, but something even better! Enjoy! You really can’t go wrong with anything off of their menu!

Myriad is true to its name with an extensive beer and wine list and a well thought out seasonal menu that offers a tantalizing array of snacks, small bites, and larger entrees. The atmosphere is very… Mission. It’s a compact, but open space with high ceilings and black and white tiled floors, mixed with hints of hipster. The bone marrow was absolutely delicious with the sherry demi-glacé and tarragon-horeseradish gremolata smeared all over a delightfully crunchy sourdough crostini. It was buttery, flavorful, and beautifully plated. It was a little pricey for only one piece… but if you love marrow this one’s a winner. Arugala, snap pea, and jicama salad w/cumin-lemon vinaigrette was light and refreshing with great textural balance. Not super memorable, but then again… most salads aren’t! The grass-fed beef burger was a bit disappointing for me and I wasn’t a fan of the steak fries. I know they’re supposed to be thick and meaty, but I felt like I was eating a baked potato. They lacked the crisp edges I was hoping for and it was a very heavy alongside the cheeseburger. The mgp sauce was tasty though(think super awesome In-N-Out spread). Myriad has a unique cocktail menu with drinks like the Eastern Orchid with soju, lemongrass, ginger, and lemon, and the Black and White Ball, which has guinness, sparkling wine, and blackberry. Need I say more? Service is attentive and relatively friendly, but it felt a bit rehearsed. Prices are ~$ 10 for appetizers and $ 20 – 30 for entrees. I found most of the dishes average, but I did order rather lightly that night. I’d be willing to come back to try the salt cod fritters, spiced shrimp, and pappardelle pasta w/pork cheeks. Overall, *3.5 stars* but I’ll round up to 4 since they’re new!

3.5STARS for an expensive upgrade from Nombe. Myriad Gastro Pub apparently does not know how to spell«gastropub». They’re a new establishment which took over Nombe, a struggling Japanese restaurant on 21st and Mission. They offer a small selection of small and large plates, but most things were on the smaller side especially given the price. They have a cool looking, but OK tasting cocktail menu, and an extensive wine list which unfortunately did not meet expectations. Also, I want to say I was NOT a fan of the service. Overall, the food and drink were above average, but way overpriced. * WHITEOAKCABERNETSAUVIGNON($ 17) — 3.5STARS: The by the glass wine list is a decent length, they had two cabs and a malbec which piqued my interest. The White Oak was my favorite, compared to the Malbec, but was so expensive and not worth $ 17. The wine also came out very warm, and the server was unapologetic. * GAIAMALBEC($ 12) — 3STARS: Not a terrible Malbec, rich and a little sweet. $ 12 was too steep for the caliber of this Malbec. * FRIEDCHICKENSAMMIES($ 11) — 4STARS: Two small fried chicken sliders, and a side of pickles for $ 11. Kind of steep, but a tasty way to start the meal. The chicken was nice and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, served with a sesame bun and a flavorful chipotle mayo. * ARUGULASALAD($ 10) — 3.5STARS: I thought this was a very nice, refreshing generously portioned salad. It’s not unique or special, but a good filler dish. * BONEMARROW($ 11) — 2STARS: 99% bone, 1% marrow. * DEVILEDEGGS($ 2) — 3.5STARS: Pretty good, really expensive, deviled eggs. $ 2 for a HALF of an egg. * PAPPARDELLE with PORKANDMUSHROOMS($ 22) — 3STARS: I love a good pappardelle, but this one was not al dente enough for me, and the flavor overall was too bland. * ROASTEDHALIBUT($ 30) — 4STARS: A really nice halibut pan fried and crispy on one side, and served with a deliciously savory concoction of fresh corn and clams. I loved the sauce and the flavor of the dish, but again $ 30 seemed way too steep for this dish. * COCHINAPIBIL($ 19) — 3.5STARS: Tiny. Portion. Better off going to a nearby Mexican restaurant. * HANGARSTEAK($ 25) — 4STARS: A decent portion of perfectly executed hangar steak. I really enjoyed the steak but the potatoes were very forgettable. Overall though, a winner for $ 25 if you’re looking for a meaty dish.
