Would not check food allergies over the phone because he was«too busy» to read the ingredients of the 50lbs flour bags they buy from an outside vendor. I stated that I have a severed soy allergy and this is the first and only place that refused to check that I have called prior to arrival. Terrible customer service!!!

Cute place! First of all I love the concept(open at 3.14PM every day, heh) and the bar itself is a nice space. I went there around dinnertime, and there was a good amount of people without being too crowded. I sat at the bar and got a dark beer(Moonlit Death + Taxes, I believed it was called), a slice of cheese pizza topped with mushrooms and parmesan, and rainbow cookies(A+). The wifi was pretty fast(have you seen a girl with her laptop out at the bar lately? That was me) and the bartender was super nice. Would recommend, would visit again.

Food is great. Pizza that makes me super happy! Staff… Rude. Rude on my phone call, rude when I got there. The way I was just treated makes me want to be a nicer person — to everyone. So I guess that was a positive experience.

Full disclosure: I used to memorize digits of pi, so my review may be biased. Great pizza and beer(12 drafts for mostly 6⁄7 dollars) + chill atmosphere and good music. They provide oregano, chili flakes, hot sauce and pepper if you want to spice up your pizza. They also have a daily deal from 314 – 628 pm: pizza + beer of the day for 7.22 Also, the ceiling looks like a bunch of gold condom wrappers tiled together.

Simple, straightforward bar with no wait, good pizza, and some craft beer favorites. Big bonus is that they have Pliny the Elder bottles, so if you’re in the mood but don’t feel like making the trek to Russian River, Pi Bar lets you take as many as 4 of the big bottles home! The scene is a bit divey with a decently wide age range. There’s good energy when I usually go on Fridays between 6 – 10 for dinner/brew. I’m not sure how this place fares for the late night 11 – 2AM scene, but if you’re looking for a place for conversation till the wee hours of the morning, I like how you can still talk here without losing your voice like in some other bars in SF.

Pizza and beer are the gems here. I’ve been going to Pi Bar for a long time because I love the atmosphere and service. They host awesome breweries for beer week. But I recommend sticking to pizza or pretzels if you are hungry because when I’ve ordered entrees or other appetizers, they don’t match the quality of the pizza.

The food is great. The male servers are very nice. The tall brunette, however, is consistently rude to the point of us not wanting to go in when she is working.

Delicious pizza and great beer! My fiancé and I stopped by this place on a Tuesday evening looking for a place to eat, have a drink and finish up some work. This was the perfect place. Ample seating and awesome vibe. Will be back for sure, the pizza is delicious!

I’ve been to Pi Bar 3 times now, and the experience has been great each time. They have a good draught selection and varies. If I had a small complaint about this place is that they quit offering the sour beer that I loved the first time we visited. If you’re a food snob looking for some kind of artisan pizza, you’re going to be disappointed. This pizza reminds me of New York slices — flavorful toppings and blend of spices and cheeses, but the crust isn’t going to wow you. I actually dig the crust though. Our last trip was with another couple, and one 21″ pie with a few toppings, about 5 – 6 beers total came to around $ 100. That’s not bad at all for the quality of the craft brews and their selection on top of the good pizza. Service has been top notch as well. If you’re into quirks — they also open at 3:14 every day. Get it?

Very cute place! We got pesto sausage pizza, ciders/beers, and polenta fries, all of which were pretty good. The service was great(we sat at the bar) and it reminded me of a bar in Tahoe — cozy and super friendly :)

Great craft beer, cider and mead choices. They have a distinguishing palate and always have some awesome brews on tap. AND did I mention the Excellent pizza… Ordered the mushroom and loved it. They put huge half moon slices of the whole portabello mushroom. Intense taste, crust had just the right balance of crunch and chew. Love this place. Easily accessible from Bart station(1 block away) Will definitely return :)

The word is officially out about this great neighborhood spot. The beers on draft are superb and the pizzas are solid. I’m a huge fan of anything mushroom and their Death by Mushroom is tasty. The crust is thin and a large pie can be consumed by two hungry adults.(Truth.) Their happy hour is good, but this spot fills up with patrons seeking a good deal on artisanal ales so get there early or be willing to wait.

The place is pretty neat and how it plays off of Pi I went there this last Sunday. The inside is pretty unique as well though it’s a pain to see the chalk board of beer selections when you’re sitting on the bench side of the tables. The place though kind of smelled funky, I think it was coming from the tables… maybe they used a towel they were cleaning dishes/counters with to wipe down the tables which gave them a real funky smell. The service was slow even though there were only 10 people there… we had 8 people in a group. Eh, the pizza wasn’t that good. We had a large pizza with pepperoni on it. This place is somewhat over priced, yes the pizza was huge, but the extra toppings are super expensive. The daily special looked like it was from the day before. Also the beer wasn’t the greatest, and the beer was actually kind of warm and disgusting. I’m not to sure if it was because they just opened for the day or what. I probably will not be returning to this place because of the quality/pricing.

My husband and I were moving from the Haight to Bernal Heights. We were heartbroken to be leaving Toronado but Pi Bar made us feel less bad about it. The beer selection is excellent. Service is relaxed and friendly. Their food is their highlight. Loved everything we have had here. The sausage spinach salad is my personal fave and the white pie with onions is shockingly addictive. Great for families, which is a little rare in this city.

It’s a good place with a variety of beers. Their pizza is better than a lot of other places in the area. Their service, not so much. There were three of during my latest visit there, eating and drinking. We were still finishing our beers(half way) when we got asked if we wanted the bill. We said we are still drinking. We then were proceeded to be asked 4 times until we decided to pay and leave and think about never coming back. If a place has a limited time to use their chairs policy, they should make it clear. Or even a minimum purchase. Note that we were there for less than 45 minutes.

What’s with the shade, Unilocalers? Pi Bar is f*cking great! They have a daily slice special and an expertly curated beer menu, most of which is rotating. Can’t decide between two different IPAs? Your waiter will bring you two adorable samples in tiny, tiny beer mugs. Service is so friendly and attentive here. My buddy and I stayed for almost 2 hours, just chatting and drinking pints. I had a slice of the Sicilian, which was a great beer drinking snack. On a Sunday night, there was plenty of seating. It’s a very inviting lil spot. Look for the Pi symbol outside! It’s easy to miss.
