Mr. Clean

In a very sketchy neighborhood that’s about a 10 minute walk for me to get to, but worth it. The main lady that works there is awesomely friendly and always takes care of me like I’m a friend. The reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because occasionally the main lady is not there and I get stuck with the sister who takes about 15 minutes to find my clothes. and also because of the neighborhood.

IMPORTANT: This place is actually called Mr. Clean Cleaners, not Air-​Line Cleaners.
I had the most wonderful experience with these folks yesterday. I had an extremely important interview at the end of the day, and brought a suit with me to work in the morning to change into. When I got to my office, I realized that there was some extreme, conspicuous water-​related puckering/​rippling on the jacket that I hadn’t noticed when I pulled it out of my closet in the faint light of morning. Emergency! I panicked, called these guys based on their proximity to my office, and asked if I could have it pressed by 4pm that day – a pretty big ask in the world of dry cleaners, especially since there was a good chance it was the kind of water damage that simply can’t be corrected.
Totally not a problem.
The couple who owns the shop were extremely friendly, and not at all put out by my pitiful pleas for help. I know so many cleaners who will grudgingly agree to do a rush job, but roll their eyes and glare and leave you mostly convinced that they’ll purposely fail to do it anyway, just to spite you for asking. Not these folks. They were cheerful, friendly, even funny, and assured me it would all be fine. It was. The suit jacket was ready early (3:30pm), looked absolutely perfect, and the whole thing cost me $ 2. (Better yet, they said that they could clean the whole suit, pants and jacket, for only $ 9 next time I needed it. Not bad.)
I don’t think I’ve ever left a cleaners with a warm fuzzy feeling of bonhomie before, but I am straight-​up ready to put these two down on my holiday card list. Customer for life!

this is the only dry cleaner i have ever gone to since i moved to san francisco. it is convenient (because its near my apt) and they do a good job. i have had them dry clean everything from ties to full on three piece suits and i have yet to be disappointed.
*bonus*: if you get your clothes in by 9 am they can get them back to you the next day. pretty sweet if you are in a time crunch.
