Tonight the evening’s cast of Pure Moxie Players improv troupe rode the energy of a full house to pull off an extremely funny performance of their«WEAREFAMILY» show. Tonight was the final show of their run and they may just have been saving the best for the last show. Great characters and interesting relationships in tonight’s audience inspired show: «INTERVENTION». Mom has become addicted to pottery and throwing pots since the death of her husband. Her issues have been passed down to her children and her free spirited niece must come to the rescue with the aid her newly discovered lover and soul mate. Throw in some B&D and possible spousal homicide and you’ve got a story sure to please even the most sophisticated and jaded San Francisco audience. Pure Moxie Players has just finished their second round of performances. «WEAREFAMILY» was their second series following the equally successful«DAYJOB». Look for them to be back strong in the fall with a new series of thematic improv sure to get you laughing and possibly even recognizing some of the people in your life who are just a little larger or stranger than other people.

I saw their show«We Are Family» on Saturday. It was so much fun. It’s hard to believe that the entire performance is unscripted. It was good fun.
