Wow, great dive breakfast joint, just what we were looking for! A little on the greasy side, but definitely delicious!

I’ve been to this place twice and both experiences were kinda bad. Nice people, but food not so great. I’m vegetarian. First I got a breakfast burrito with tofu. Came with burnt veggies, sour tofu, meat. Didn’t finish. Second time I got an omelette, took a friend. They mixed our orders up. Easy fix, let’s swap omelettes. First bite, meat. It saddens me that this place is literally right next to me but I haven’t had a good experience yet. Met someone today who also, ordered a veggie burger and received a regular meat burger. Like. Accidents happen but this is sloppy.

If A location could be described as a mental illness, the Little Griddle would be classified as disassociative disorder. Characterized as two or more distinctive personalities . Originally, I was going to Dotties but the line was too long(have a flight in 3 hours). I didn’t want to sacrifice my stomach by just eating anywhere. Then I found slice on thrillist… to my dismay it wasn’t opened. I look across and saw the Little Griddle. The little Gridle has, at first impression, a very charming graphic sign(hipster-ish) and same goes with the crowd. I got excited after running across town to find a breakfast joint. I Unilocaled and saw that this place had 4 stars.” Woo hoo!“ It’s definitely very cramped and not a lot of sitting area. My personal preference is that breakfast is an event that happens where you can just sit and enjoy yourself before a hectic day. Otherwise, you could just grab a quick bite at a fast food joint or market. which brings me to my point, what is Little Griddle striving for? On the go joint or sit down. Perhaps both? Now, Unilocalers, you must be thinking«how about the food and service?» I ordered the«Piglet in a Blanket Omelette«added spinach to it with a regular latte and one Griddle pancake. Total ran me $ 24. Gridle pancake I would have to say was delicious! Doest need any syrup. It has nutmeg and cinnamon taste to it. The Omelette was fully stuffed which I like. you can add a variety of different cheeses, in which I added pepper Jack. The egg itself was bland and not seasoned. The hash browns were not as crispy. Due to the lack of sitting area, my friend and I grabbed a seat outside. As we were waiting for our food, we had to go back inside to grab condiments, napkins, and utensils. Meanwhile, in a not so distant future, down a couple feet was a homeless robbery. Aww, sleeping homeless folk being robbed by another fellow homeless person! I can imagine if I was alone, I wouldn’t want to go back inside leaving my food outside, a homeless person could grab my food! Disassociative disorder, a charming yet disorganized place, clean but gritty, on the go spot, but also a dine in restaurant, cool hip joint but if I were to switch the business sign to just a white backing with red text, the chalkboard menus of cool fonts to just an old school sign(like the diners) and switched the crowd to lower class folk… would anyone give this place 4 stars? NO. This being said, it’s not the food nor the service that is giving it 4 stars, it’s due to it being the only disassociative disorderly place that resembles a cool joint in the area. Want good breakfast? New to the area? Just visiting? Don’t go out of your way to come here, just get something at the market across the street. Or just get a Griddle to go. Signing off

The only reason I didn’t give 5 was my order was wrong. Californication Burger was tasty. I asked for extra pickles and was charged an extra .50 but didn’t receive any pickles. Nor the dressing I asked for and ended up paying $ 2.00 for a salad I won’t eat. I

–1 star!!! 1. We ordered yesterday with my husband: two hamburgers with french fries. The delivery took 1 hour not 20 minutes as they said. 2. The hamburgers were not that great as the reviews said!!! We chose this restaurant based on the reviews but unfortunately this time we went wrong. 3. The MOSTSCARY thing is that we got FOODPOISON. I started to vomit 10 minutes after I finished the half of my hamburger(the taste and the hamburger in general were that bad that I did not want to even finish). Now, me and my husband are with stomachache! Please don’t eat here!!!

I got the bits and pieces with chicken apple sausage and it was pretty good. I would definitely recommend it if you like chicken apple sausage. Their hash browns are also really good and crunchy! I like how you go up to the counter and order food and then sit down and wait for your food. Super casual yet serves good food. Definitely a must try!

Got delivery. Food arrived cold and soggy. Didn’t get any special requests that I asked for. Got a wrong item. Food was just meh — hangover burrito wasn’t terrible, soggy bagel was gross.

My classmates and I came here before going to here the talk with Dr. Omalu at the Nourse Theatre. You order from a large selection of interesting burgers and sandwiches and they bring your food to your table. I ordered the brunch burger and the Mango Italian soda. The Italian soda came out quickly and it was a little too artificial tasting. My burger took forever to come out. I’m talking like over thirty minutes. When it came out, it was pretty good but my meat was a little undercooked. They do specify that they cook Patties to medium, so it was my fault for overlooking that. I probably won’t come back because the wait was just too long.

Pretty delicious burger and beer for an affordable price! They stop serving Sammies after 3, but come here for the burgers and fries. I got the Brunch Burger, which was topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, a fried egg and the regular lettuce and tomato. It came out on a small metal tray and a LOT of french fries! The burger was perfectly cooked and I couldn’t finish all of my fries even though they were hot and crispy aka my favorite kind. My friend got the RIP Lucifer: a burger sandwiched with french toast. Holy sh** that burger was good. It’s not a big spot but definitely come here with friends if you’re in the area or if you’re going to a show at Davies Symphony Hall like we were!

Little griddle is my ultimate guilty pleasure — waking up super late(and/or hungover) on the weekend, lazy and in the need of some amazing really-bad-for-you but not bougie /45 minute wait type food? This is your spot. There’s usually a slight wait(5 – 10 min, max), but they turn over tables quickly and the food is hard to beat. The favorites: +Breakfast egg sandwich(with cheese, veggies and egg) — light enough to not feel gross after, but still delicious and filling. Pair with the green sauce for an extra kick. +Veggie burger with grilled onions, jalapenos, pickles and a side of fries — this is the ultimate veggie burger! And not because the veggie patty is good(it’s alright, but not amazing). The bread they put the burger on is out of this worldddd — fluffly, soft and so delicious. This is an extremely heavy meal(even the bf can’t finish it by himself in one go), but the best bang for your buck($ 11) Tips: +Not the nicest sit down restaurant, but don’t get your food togo. It’s best hot. +Try not to steal one of those green hot sauce bottles — haven’t found a green sauce as good as the one in little griddle!

Small brunch place around the Civic Center area. Did not see any parking lots surrounding it so you’re left finding street parking, which can be pretty difficult in this area. When you step inside, you see that this place isn’t very big. I suggest going somewhere else if you come with a group of four or more, as this place doesn’t really have the tables and the room to handle a party of that size. It’s either that or wait it or for people to leave. Their menus are on the chalkboards are well-written and they also have laminated menus providing details of the items they have here. After a long line out, I needed something a bit greasy, so I decided to narrow my choice down to a burger. They have a pretty big selection of not just burgers, but traditional lunch and breakfast items. It can be daunting if you really don’t have a craving for something. I decided to get the Pig Funguess Burger. The burger was pretty big. The portion sizes of the burger and fries were excellent. Tastewise, the burger was a bit disappointing. The meat was not as juicy as I wanted it to be. I found out later that the patties are cooked medium-well, so I suggest cooking it to medium for a more juicy patty. The fries on the other hand, were unsatisfactory. They did not taste that fresh and I needed to a bit more salt for more flavor. The sweet potato fries were a lot better and I highly recommend getting that over the regular fries. The service here is pretty good. The workers here do a good job getting orders out in a timely fashion, even though it appeared to be pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon. I like the vibe I was getting at the place. Although the place was small, I never felt cramped or in a rush to finish and get out of there. Overall, the service was good, but I expected a little more from the food.

You really can’t go wrong with breakfast, and if you do, you need to get the heck out of here. This place proves its staying power in the ever-changing Market street neighborhood, and their food is a testament to that. I love a good dive breakfast place, and while the prices aren’t super cheap, you definitely get a solid meal that’s worthy of paying for. I usually get the French toast or pancakes(both delish, just depends what you’re in the mood for). My favorite is the Fresh-squeezed OJ. While expensive, it’s yum(and probably cheaper than what you would find across the street at the Market). This place is super small, so if you’re coming with a group, of more than 4, you may need to split up. There always seems to be a line as well, so be prepared to wait a bit(but trust, the wait will be worth it). Likes: –solid breakfast –close to transportation and right on Market –relatively quick turnaround to get food once it comes out –divey, yet clean Dislikes –pretty small(groups of more than 4: steer clear) –a bit pricey for some items(like the OJ)

Tasty breakfast with hashbrowns! cooked fresh to order, while sitting caddy corner to the Twitter headquarters! The restaurant is located in a small corner building near a large 4 — way intersection. There are a few other new skyscraper apartment buildings(what was once probably used for business suites). The food takes the usual time to prepare, if they are busy, *and we just ordered breakfast(expect to wait about 20 mins at least at that point). It gets packed quick as there are very few seats. I would say roughly 30 inside and 8 outside for seating. The prices vary from $ 10 — 17(most of which are the entrees). few items but they sound tasty! We sat by the window as my picture will show you its a nice downtown eatery! I would return with friends.

Came here at 7:30 on a thursday. They were out of donuts for the lucifer burger, even though there were barely any customers. Disappointed. Got a breakfast burger instead. Comes with bacon and a huge patty. Wide variety of hot sauces to choose from. Weird bathroom situation upstairs.

definitely better for lunch than breakfast. Omelettes were just too greasy and heavy with an unnecessary large dollop of sour cream on top. nice large glass of fresh OJ, but the coffee was not to my liking. lunch is much better with good sandwiches, salads and burgers.

The perfect greasy breakfast. It was so delicious. I had the hashbrown breakfast and a chai lattee. I will be going back here for weekend breakfasts a lot more. I can’t wait to try the french toast! This place doesn’t look like much on the outside but I’m really glad we walked in. I don’t suggest sitting outside because it’s Market St so the smell might ruin your breakfast.

Sunday brunch, 11AM — 2 people Came in with high expectations, but left disappointed. For a place in this location, you’d think it would be better for the Twitter-building-adjacent prices you’re paying. The coffee was the lone highlight — it was self-serve and they had 3 different kinds of drip. I prefer self serve because I hate waiting around trying to get a server’s attention while my cup is empty. They have outdoor seating, which is a blessing and a curse — you have a front row seat to people watch, but you are also up close and personal with said people(and your food). So on to the food — the french toast in my Bettie Bettie Sinfuls was on the limp/soggy side — I ate about half. The eggs and chicken apple sausage were not great additions either — the eggs were alright but the sausage was dry. My friend got a Weekend Recovery — apple smoked bacon, avocado with scrambled cage-free eggs and tillamook pepperjack. This was a decent sandwich, but the hashbrowns were on the edge of inedible. Mostly burnt and not very flavorful, it felt like we were eating the charred remains of a bonfire. We didn’t eat everything on either plate, and didn’t leave full. For 2 people paying over $ 30 for brunch, it’s not what I would call a great experience. The only reason I would return is because of its proximity — if I end up breaking my leg someday, it will be convenient! 2.5 stars overall.

I woke up hungover in San Francisco and needed some food to bring me back to life. This place did the trick and more. I got the hash brown with beef, American cheese and two eggs. It was everything I needed in my life at the moment. It was seriously so delicious. Everything on the menu looked really good and I wish I there was a locations in SoCal so I could try the rest of the breakfast menu. However, it was a little pricey for breakfast but I was in San Francisco so I should have executed that. Will return for sure!
