Gigi K

Working with Gigi has been a wonderful experience, and I plan to continue to work with her for a long time. People may assume that working with a personal stylist will cost them a lot of money, but the reality is the exact opposite. Gigi has actually saved me so much money by helping me to select pieces that I love and stop wasting money on pieces that don’t work for me and hang in my closet unused. She started by helping me to edit my existing wardrobe with her unerring eye. She also taught me tailoring tricks to make my existing pieces fit better and look better on me. Later, we went shopping together, and she helped me select new pieces that not only are appropriate for my profession, lifestyle and age, but also for my budget and personal style. She helped to add a bit of edge and a lot of sophistication to my look, and I love my wardrobe now. Gigi even suggested some new hairstyles. Gigi did all of this is a warm, kind and respectful way, and it is a genuine pleasure to work with her. I can’t wait for our next round of shopping, and I have been recommending her to all my friends and colleagues.

Gigi is amazing. She really knows what she is doing. I had a few ideas of what I wanted, and Gigi took those in, but she also elevated them to the next level. She helped me see that I deserved to wear higher quality and better made things. But she is very very flexible at the same time and works within your budget. I think the most value I got out of Gigi wasn’t necessarily the items she sourced (though those were great too), but mostly how she educated me about style, that way I could learn to put items together in my closet on my own, and really think about how I was doing it. After we identified the gaps in my closet and filled those in, it became way easier for me to dress myself in a way that felt good.

Working with GigiK was wonderful! She is friendly, practical, professional, and very good at what she does. We started with a closet audit and she immediately put me at ease. I learned how to improve fit and select the best pants, skirts, tops, and jackets for my body type in just a few hours. There were visual «tricks» that I’d never thought about but made a huge difference when Gigi demonstrated. For example, narrowing a pant leg and adjusting length to show a bit of ankle made my legs look so much longer! Our next meeting was a trip to Westfield Mall. Gigi had gone the day before and pulled items for me to try on. She did a great job of selecting items across a variety of price points to meet my budget needs. We went to a few key stores and within 3 hours I had probably 10 pieces I loved (1 pair of shoes, 4 pairs of pants, 1 jacket, bunch of tops). It was so fast and easy!
Thanks to Gigi I have a work wardrobe that makes me feel polished, professional, and stylish every day. And the pieces crossover to evening and weekendwear for the same result. I couldn’t imagine a better experience. I highly highly recommend working with Gigi K.

Totally agree with the previous reviewers. I am a relatively new mom and felt like I was in a fashion funk. Gigi was so patient and explained clearly the details in dressing up (or down), as well as what qualities to look for while shopping. She cleansed my closet and my sense of style. She helped me figure out how to accessorize and still keep my own quirkiness. If you’re feeling in a funk, I would highly recommend Gigi’s services. She has an eye for detail and is super talented and friendly too!

Gigi taught me that shopping doesn’t have to be «destroy the planet with your frivolous consumption» behavior. She helped me shop my closet, put together dozens and dozens of outfits in myriad ways I never would have thought of, took photos of me in them so I could remember them all, recommended slight alterations that would vastly improve the look and fit of items I already own, AND did it all for the price of one outfit with no carbon omissions.
You should do this. We should all do this. You’d be amazed at what you have and how far it can go. I mean, I now have the courage to put black and navy together (wild!).
Let me be really clear: I hate shopping. *Hate* it. I am disgusted at the sheer quantity of clothing people buy that they utterly do not need, that is made of slave labor and synthetics that, when you wash them, become the very tiny bits of plastic that are polluting the entire ocean. That’s what shopping means to me: no less than a scourge on humanity.
I’m a great candidate for a «personal stylist,» eh? Wouldn’t you LOVE to have me as a client? Super fun for everyone, right here. But believe me: Gigi has mad skills and can find something appropriate for everyone, is incredibly creative and patient, adapts her talents to match your values, and is worth more than every penny.

Personal styling/​shopping is NOT just for rock and movie stars anymore. I felt a little strange outsourcing something as personal as fashion at first. But then I realized I had no problem going to an expert for other very personal services (hairdresser, eye brow waxer, nail technician, massage therapist, etc.) — and there are defiantly people who are experts at fashion. Why not give it a go?

Gigi helped style me for my wedding rehearsal dinner. With so many plates spinning wildly leading up to the big weekend, it was a serious blessing to have Gigi there to help me pick out the right pieces for this event.
After asking me a few questions, Gigi covered everything from online research, to selecting items for me to try on in the dressing room (and had it all set up before I got there no less!), to tracking down the perfect accessories and the ever-​allusive appropriate undergarments.
Gigi is a superstar — very knowledgeable, professional and a total fashionista — and I’ve already recommended her to several of my friends who’ve had their own fashion quandaries. She’s helped them out with personal shopping and closet/​wardrobe audits, with rave reviews. Can’t recommend her enough.
