Stopped here to eat because it’s the only place to eat in this wing of the terminal. I ordered the steak sandwich. I was disappointed in the amount of meat. Just a little strip of nothing. Decent taste but not much there between the huge baguette. 18.00 later I’m kinda pissed.

Have to agree with the rest: service, food quality, how fast you get serviced, prices — all are good(4+). May be a little tough finding a place to sit down during rush hours. And airport-friendly plastic silverware still shocks me to the day(yet has nothing to do with the restaurant, obviously). I am definitely coming back here for a tall grass of cold beer and some pasta. Desserts. Did I mention desserts here? :-)

Stopped by for a breakfast sandwich before my flight. Got it togo. Sausage croissant… it was a hot greasy mess of a sandwich. Flavorless, perhaps the large portion of scrambled eggs falling everywhere stole from the sausage flavor or perhaps it was just all hidden by the greasy. Croissant was chewy with crunchy ends. A true disappointment. Service was friendly and fast.

We dined here last Tuesday with a friend who was here on a layover. The tables were a little dirty & needed to be cleaned off, but the service was friendly. You order at the counter & they bring your food to you. The guy at the counter was very nice & our server was friendly. As for the food, the bacon cheeseburger was tender, perfectly marinaded, & all the toppings fresh with na fresh bun & crispy bacon. The fries were crispy & not seasoned perfectly. My friend loved her pasta & my mother, her chicken cesar salad. I would definitely come back here. So, for some good American fare for a bit more than at your neighborhood restaurant, Firewood cannot be beat. Keep up the good work guys.

Ugh. This represents many of the reasons I dislike airport management. Firewood Café could have any name on it, or any face on it. Beneath the façade, it’s run by some management company and said company is doing a barely passable job of running it. The food here is subpar, the prices exorbitant(for what you get), and while the service is as friendly as can be expected for an under-staffed, over crammed airport bar in a godforsaken terminal with only a couple of options, it’s not awesome. Oh, and the alcohol selection at the bar? Can we have something other than just the most top selling major brand industrial spirits? The menu here is super limited. Flatbread pizzas, a couple of salads, and some other items. Basically my option if I want to be even the slightest bit healthy is a salad. The cobb is just okay, but the insane price tag diminishes any possible enjoyment beyond sustenance. Is it better than fast food? I don’t know. The quality of ingredients is subpar, the menu short, the prices insane. Someone needs to fly SFO’s management up to PDX so they can see how it’s done. Guess what tho? If you’re in this terminal, this is one of your only options.

Excellent service, decent portions and very fresh produce, prices could be better but they need to pay the lease. If you’re not eating or drinking, please make room for others, several people camping the tables playing with smartphones instead of eating!

I was served lukewarm coffee this morning. Then I found a short curly black hair in my breakfast pizza. I don’t have short curly black hair. Gross. Not a good way to start a trip. Will not be coming back.

If i can give this place zero stars, I would. I came in here to get a drink to relax before the flight and the bartender is RUDE. I approached the register and politely asked for two beers, one for myself and one for my friend. The bartender didn’t say a thing other than«kay» and waited for me to place money on the counter with his gesture. I placed 20 on the counter and he just took it without telling me my total. Okay, I’m fine with paying but can I get a total in the least? Then when he gave me my change of 3 dollars and some cents. He conveniently added«the tip jar is right here.» Excuse me? You must have a Masters in Hostility instead of hospitality. Nice, are you valedictorian of that class? Steer clear of the bar unless you’re looking for hostility prior to your flight. Yay firewood! Keep doing what you doing!

One of the better and cheaper options is the Firewood location(there are two) at the end of the international terminal, which serves more pizza options. This one serves breakfast until 10:30,but the one closer to the security check point does until 11.

Definitely should have gone somewhere else — egh. Floppy crust, flavorless crust and sauce… Not a nice pizza. And I love pizza. So this was a huge letdown. I wanted something non-chain /something I couldn’t get in southern CA and chose this place. $ 11 and some change would have been better spent on any thing other than the margherita pizza.

This place is the bomb at customer service. The server at the bar loaned me his phone charger and had me do a wine tasting before paying for my glass of wine. If you want a friendly place to grab a beer or a glass of wine and have excellent friendly service check out the Firewood Grill by Gate 11.

Bad«to go» sandwich. The Fresh apple, ham, and Gouda sandwich was at least three days old based on the texture of the floppy slices of Apple. Gross. However, the onsite burger and fries were great.

Long line that went quickly. Super friendly staff. Food came out quickly and was delicious. We got the penne bolognese. Very tasty. Just needed a little salt and pepper.

Stuff is very loud, talking about personal stuff, not even considering that customers are around them! The worst thing is that, UNIFORM they are wearing!!!, hold on, VERYDIRTY and unpleasant to look at!!! Very unclean, unprofessional, etccc… I knw we are in drought, but at least we to have a enough water to get some stuff done!!! And yes, it is early in the morning, but if you are headed to work, please take care of your s***!!! Gross!!!

I just got a salad here that was close to inedible — the greens below the top had gone past wilted and into that brown mushiness that happens when you forget the bag of salad in your fridge for a week. The cherry tomatoes on top, well, one had split open and had some mold going on, but it had been carefully placed so the gross part was facing down. I mean, if the goal of eating salads is to lose weight, then this was a top tier salad because I couldn’t eat it.

Just tried to get a beer and was stunned at the service. The snotty asshole had barely put change in my hand after ordering my $ 8+ beer and he pointed out the tip jar. He was clearing assuming I wasn’t going to give him my change and after that he was right. He then proceeded to snub me and get drinks for 3 other customers that he rung up after me. All of which tossed him a few coins. Clearly management doesn’t read these reviews since there are other complaints about customer service and I’m sure the same cashier. He should not work in CS. Asked for my money back — not sure I would have wanted to drink what he would serve.

If you’re in the International Terminal and you’re reading this, get food before you head through security — that food court out there looked amazing! I wish I had followed my own advice, especially since I got to the airport a little early and had time to kill. I saw this amazing food court, looked at the LONG security line(even with TSA pre-check this was a LONG line) and decided I’d just head through and get food on the other side. Big mistake, the 4 food options on the other side are pretty sad, and I finally settled on Firewood Café, which wasn’t awful, but wasn’t great. It’s aiport food, so definitely a little pricey, plus it takes a while for the pizza to be cooked, so everyone is stuck just standing around waiting for their number to be called. I went with the Veggie Pizza — around $ 12 I believe which was not bad, and then also got a pasta salad and side salad from their ready made section, oh and chips lol, don’t judge me, 5 hours is a long time on a plane and I needed to make sure I had dinner and a snack lol. Total bill, something like $ 37! So take my advice, check out the food court before security if you have time, or else end up here eating ok food, but kicking yourself for not getting sushi back on the other side lol!

Such a kind staff with amazing pizza… perfect size for one person and maybe two people if you just need a quick snack. Ditch the fountain drinks… they never seem to taste right.

Holy shit. I was already appalled because, thanks to their high pricing and the special extra aiport-related tax on top of the regular tax, ONE premade salad and ONE premade sandwich cost $ 24.(With tip, but still.) But then I ate the sandwich. Listen, this is a perfectly nice ham and cheese sandwich. They went to the effort of using that rye swirl bread to make it look like it might be worth $ 9. Even though any kind of bread is certainly the cheapest part of any sandwich, it was a convincing touch. At least I thought so, until I got to the American cheese slice. Now listen, I like American cheese just fine, once in a while. I’m not even being a food snob here. I’m just saying: With the taxes, before there was even a tip, this was a $ 10 sandwich MADEWITHMACHINE-EXTRUDEDCHEESEMATTER. There’s not really even mayo. There’s a line of mayo that somebody or something squirted across each slice. Not spread across the bread or anything, just like… you’re eating a dry sandwich and eventually you get to experience some extra moistness at the Mayo-Dixon Line. I’m used to paying extra for airport food, but this is ridiculous.

It was going to be my first time getting on an airplane in about 12 years, so I was somewhat nervous. Noticed this place right before I got to the gate where my plane was leaving from. I still had about an hour or so before I had to check in and board the plan, so I figured why not have a few drinks and try to relax before heading to Portland. It turned out to be a really good idea. This review is strictly for the bar as I ordered no food and interacted with no one other than the bartender. The bartender was absolutely amazing, she was very talkative, friendly, and helpful when I was deciding what to drink. She made the most amazing long islands I’ve ever had, they had almost no trace of the taste of alcohol yet were very strong at the same time. She also made me a Long Beach and the same could be said about that. The Long Beach tasted very fruity and sweet yet was also incredibly strong. The prices were pretty affordable for an airport bar as well. Had a drink at this bar, next thing I know I was landing in Portland and completely forgot I was even on a plane. Could’ve sworn that I walked the whole way there. 10/10, for pre flight drinking.

For airport food and airport prices, you can’t go wrong. great bar and bartender. very sizable portions. excellent sourdough bread bowl combinations(in case you were visiting us and somehow made it through your ENTIRETRIP without having one!). Love the big salads, skewers, and the pastas. Can’t really go wrong. Plus the bartender is awesome.

Firewood Pizza in the airport great concept and a great choice when you consider the alternatives. Great customer service, I like the giant pizza oven and when was the last time you were given a «pager» at an airport to buzz you when your food is ready, what’s next delivery at the gate don’t laugh these guys are pretty innovated. Although they are a little pricey they do deliver a decent product. This airport is not known for it culinary experiences so maybe this is phase 1 of things to come.

I absolutely love Firewood Café, but breakfast must definitely be avoided or revamped! After looking at their cooked display of breakfast offerings, my brother and I decided to grab a bite before our 12 hour flight overseas. I’m going to start by stating that I frequent the Napa Firewood Café regularly and love their pizzas and pastas. I’m assuming that this airport location is open early and serves breakfast due to contractual obligations with SFO. The breakfast croissant with bacon and egg, which was quite a generous serving, was not good at all. The eggs were overlooked and rubbery. The bacon was over cooked. My side potatoes were bland. As expected, prices on the high side due to being at the airport. I rate them a 3 because of the great customer service, speed/convenience and understanding that they have delicious lunch and dinner offerings. If you are taking a later flight come back for their lunch/dinner menu!
