Very classy and food was extensive. Plus they served grey goose, can’t argue against that. Top notch lounge. Service was great and food was good. Very impressed

Nothing but discrimination for One World Sapphire — Qantas travelers. Upon check in, I was told that Qantas passengers are not supposed to access this lounge, even though the Cathay Pacific website mentions no such restriction for SFO. The receptionist further said we were not allowed in since my husband is One World Ruby, until I reminded her that I get a +1 guest as One World Sapphire member, according to her own website. They(very reluctantly) let us in, then refused us access to the showers and noodle bar. Even received a few questionable looks from the staff when grabbing a beer from the fridge. This may be understandable/excusable if the lounge was busy, but this was not the case. There were a max of 10 people in the lounge, it was empty. The Cathay Pacific SFO lounge website does not state any of these restrictions for One World Sapphire member/Qantas passengers, yet we were refused access to most amenities this lounge offers. Complete contradictions between the Cathay Pacific website and what we experienced at the lounge, with terrible service to top it off.

The Etihaad lounge opens only at 12 so were routed to the Cathay lounge. One of the nicer lounges at the airport and better then Etihad. The approach to this lounge was a little odd. You need to walk through this long corridor lined with multiple closets and then you get to this oasis. Very clean and spacious. They had a small but good breakfast buffet. They also have a made to order hot food option which is easy to miss It is the small counter near the buffet. I had the dan dan noodles with chicken which was excellent. Friendly courteous employees as well. Etihad. hint hint…

Shows how far behind U. S airlines are with their Boardrooms/Lounges. Excellent service, food, atmosphere and amenities.

While a bit dated in the overall context of airline lounges worldwide, this is one of the better lounges here at SFO and the best you can get here if you’re flying Oneworld. Food offerings are actually quite comprehensive, with hot Western and Chinese items. Lots of self-serve booze too. There’s even a counter where they make a whole bowl of wonton noodles for you from scratch. Service is also super attentive and friendly. Used dishes and glasses are cleared right away, while Oneworld lurkers who are actually booked on non-CX flights are never rushed or encouraged to leave, even hours after the actual CX flights have left. As Jim P. notes, this might be a 4 star lounge overall, but the warm service and lack of better alternatives at SFO make this a 5 star review.

One World Emerald Member checking in. This is the only GOOD(not great) one world lounge in San Francisco at the moment. This should hopefully change next year, with Qantas flying into Sydney. As far as the lounge, its a standard business class lounge. It doesn’t resemble a First Class lounge(such as the ones you find in Hong Kong), but this isnt a hub for CX either. They do have some cook to order food though, which is better then the buffet you find at JAL lounge. Also, there is no special lounge champagne at the moment, so just be aware of that.

There is no question that other airlines could take lessons from Cathay Pacific and the way to treat guests. One of the best lounges at SFO. They actually have complimentary food that they cook to order.

An actual sanctuary with all the amenities. Other airlines could learn a lot from this set up. The food choices and beverage choices are great and the staff is attentive. A must for any amount of time at SFO.

I am an Alaska Airlines Boardroom member with privileges into this lounge. It’s just amazing. One side is newer with a wide variety of pretty decent deli offerings but the other side serves up terrific noodles and stir fry yumminess to order. Surprised me today with a spicy tuna sandwich on white like a tea sandwich. Really good, beautifully wrapped in paper to keep it from drying out. If I could, I’d order that sammie somewhere. Comfy chairs with lots of power outlets and quiet spaces. Very kind personnel who are very engaged but don’t hover. Clean and quiet and my fave so far!

This lounge is a great place to relax before boarding your flight. Enjoy a taste of Hong Kong with the noodle bar(try the wonton noodles). The self-service beverage section is reasonably well-stocked. Don’t forget to check out the buffet spread which features both hot entrees and assorted sandwiches. There is ample seating in the lounge for various party sizes, from the aptly-named Solus chairs for single travelers to communal tables for larger groups. Keep up the good job, Cathay Pacific.

Sweet lounge but a bit small. Has shower facilities which is great. Definitely the best one world lounge at SFO.

One of the best lounges at SFO. They actually have complimentary food that they cook to order. What a concept.

One World Emerald status will get you access to this excellent lounge. Great selection of food, snack and drinks. The staff is very friendly and provides top notch customer service! The best lounge that I’ve experienced at SFO.

If you have oneworld sapphire tier status you can use this lounge when flying Cathay Pacific, regardless of the class you’re traveling in. But the good news doesn’t end there, travelers! Most lounges at SFO are pretty subpar in their amenities but this little lounge is a notable exception. What it lacks in square footage it makes up for with made to order noodles(dan dan, ramen), hot and cold food, a stocked bar, plenty of snacks and comfortable seating. I especially like the Solus chairs in this lounge and try to nab one whenever possible. Foster + Partners designed these unique chairs for Cathay Pacific to accommodate the needs of single travelers and each one has a small desk and AC power. The Solus provides a measure of privacy I rarely find on the road(and I’m grateful for that). As you gear up for a monster long flight to Asia(13.5 hours to Hong Kong y’all!) from San Francisco, you’ll be glad to relax in the Cathay Pacific lounge before you take off.

I really enjoyed this lounge for all the room they had, all of the snacks and drinks they had, and my favorite was the hot counter where I ordered a bowl of wonton noodle soup — mmm mmm good and comforting before getting on my looooong flight to Hong Kong. Stopping here made me feel calm and happy! Thank you.

Wonderful smallish lounge in the International terminal. Food selection is much better than UA or AA… like thats news. I loved the cooked to order wanton soup with ramen… it was really good. All of the prepared foods, served buffett style, looked yummy and well prepared as well. Free premium booze… self service. Layout and furniture are very nice and very comfortable. Plenty of plugs for computers, phones, etc etc. They even have a shower(ewwww) but what the heck sorta a cool factor. Two thumbs up for this very nice lounge… one of the better ones at SFO!!!

Cathay Pacific First Class(and Business Class) lounge is located on the 4th floor after the security. Make a left after the security, take one level up the escalator, walk through a long corridor and there it is. Entrance is quite beautiful. A receptionist will greet you and after you show your lounge entry ticket thing, you can go straight in and enjoy. To be honest, food selection is somewhat disappointing. They just have rice, chow mein, curry, steam+fried fish and spaghetti, plus clam chowder. But you really should try all of them before judging them — besides the rice being kind of hard, all of the remaining are great! Much better than a lot of HK cafés in the Bay Area. There’s also a noodle bar where you can order dan dan noodle, wonton noodle or vegetarian noodle. I picked the dan dan noodle, basically it’s a peanut soup based noodle. Soup was fatty but tasted great! Portion is super small but you can always get additional one if you want to. And of course, unlimited drinks. Free WiFi. The Cathay lounge in their home base HKG is definitely much much better; but in terms of North American airport lounges and especially SFO, I can’t complain.

5 stars because I think this is one if the best Airline lounges in North America. Which is a fair call because the flagship lounge(in Hong Kong) is the best in the world. What I like about this lounge: — Better selections of Alcohol than most lounges. All free as well. — Has a signature dish: Signature dan dan noodles(very similar to HKG. Home away from home for HK travelers with onwards connections) — Great dumplings — Not too many codeshare airlines out of SFO International terminal have access to this

Cathay Pacific First & Business Lounge is a bit smaller and less fancy than some of the other lounges at SFO but the service is world class. Very friendly and polished would best describe the personnel. Shower and washrooms were very clean and comfortable. The lounge area is a bit dated but very clean and comfortable. Food service(Breakfast this trip) was Ok with eggs, sausage biscuits, hash browns and dim sum items. The highlight is the fresh noodle bar including Wonton noodles and Dan Dan noodles. Overall this is probably a 4 Star lounge but the friendly and professional service of the staff makes it a 5 Star experience. Cheers!
