Slower than molasses! Nobody knows what they are doing. Sucks because people are in a hurry to get to work but the people that work there are IDIOTS! DONTGOHERE!!!

Was skeptical seeing the minimal and not so great reviews but wanted to give this place a try. Friendly quick service and healthy options make this place a great go-to for lunch, especially given the sparse options around here. I got the quinoa chicken salad and it’s really good. Will be back.

Insanely overpriced for what they offer. I ordered the BLAT and was handed brunt toast with a sad piece of bacon, tiny smushed slices of avocado and shrivelled up lettuce. For 10 dollars. Walk to Parlour one street over, much better service, food, and pricing is fair.

EarlyBird is doing it Right at every turn as far as I am concerned. Great Sandwiches with a killer side kale salad that is so tasty. The sandwiches come with a hearty salad side that makes the under $ 10 sandwich a full & filling meal. This was the first time I’ve had HighWire coffee out of Oakland and the cappuccino was perfection. I choose to walk past the few tables & chairs in the IceHouse Alley area and walk around the corner to the Park and sit and enjoy the sun with my lunch on the go. DONOT pass up the amazing cookies as your sweet treat for the day. I can’t wait to go back and try the Granola & Yogurt that my co-workers have been raving about.

This joint took over the Piperade To Go window on Icehouse Alley. Their main focus seems to be grilled/pressed sandwiches, but they do have some salad and soup options as well. The sandwiches seemed reasonably priced for San Francisco, since they’re $ 7-ish, but any sandwich under $ 10 seems like a bargain in this city. They’re still working out some operational kinks like giving food to people who ordered the same item when someone else is still waiting or forgetting orders altogether. Probably due to orders being written on Post-its®, a windy alley and lots of people taking over the different positions behind the counter. But I’m sure they’ll improve things as time passes. Grilled Cheese: A pretty substantial amount of cheese! I forget exactly which kind, but seemed to be one yellow and one white and was oozing outside the crispy bread. There was a thin layer of tomato jam, which added a nice tang, but probably would have been better with a thicker layer to help balance out all the cheese. I believe they lather the bread with mayo before pressing, so there is a nice richness on the exterior. BLAT(Bacon, Lettuce, Avocado, Tomato): I wasn’t feeling this sandwich as much. The bacon was only mildly crispy; the meat part was firm but the fat part was limp. The avocado portion was a little skimpy compared to the bacon portion; after cooking it looked brown-ish and didn’t taste as good as fresh avocado… maybe they should add it after the sandwich is pressed? There was tomato jam instead of tomatoes, which like on the grilled cheese, could have been more generous. No lettuce officially on the sandwich, but greens on the side. Mixed Greens: Each sandwich came with generic looking greens tossed in a light dressing. I’m not a big salad fan in general and this basic attempt didn’t impress me. Thankfully the sandwiches are so rich, I wasn’t even craving any veggie sides after finishing.
