Delarosa is a relatively new establishment in the Yerba Buena area. Excellent place to meet a friend for dinner & drinks after work. The space is clean & modern, lots of seating, lots of people but we have no trouble getting a seat(3 of us). Its a bit loud but still possible to hold a conversation. Servers were quick and helpful. Good choices for apps, entrees, desserts and drinks — and reasonably priced. Get a couple varieties of pizza to share. Great portion size — enough to fill you up but no so much that you hate yourself. Nothing“wows” me in the way I think a 5-star business should, but a solid option and I’ll be back.

So this place is cool, the food is good too and the maitre’d is great and honest with the rsvp lists. Always a wait list but manageable and can’t call in reservations. Wait staff and busboys are a bit aloof and forgetful, but the food, when it gets there is good. But it always takes long and sometimes takes forever if it gets there. And they didn’t even comp the bread after the appetizer bread being brought 20−30min late. Good wine selection and the bartenders is great with reco’s. The bruschetta with honey hazelnut and nuts is delicious. The parpadella(with braised pork) and the chicken parm were both good, but the portions are small, they are for one small adult but not for an average size person. The brownie lava mocha is so soft and sweet and delicious

You can’t go wrong — very tasty in all respects — try the tagliatelle dumpling for sure — came with family — everyone loved it — good energy and fun

Celebrated my cousin’s grad dinner here I always try to get pizza with prosciutto on it so I gave it a try. and it was just ok. The real winner here was the mussels appetizer! It was so flavorful. I wanted more & more & more. lol. Overall, great atmosphere and location to chill with friends.

Service: Great– we got seated pretty quickly and our waitress was nice and attentive. Food: Meh, expected more. Dungeness crab linguini: Portions were a little small and the pasta itself wasn’t very good. The texture of the pasta was decent but the flavor just didn’t hit right. Spicy fennel sausage pizza: Portions were decent. I really liked the marinara, mozzarella, and sausage they used. Not bad but not great.

Awesome food! Loved the pizza(so many yummy combinations to choose from). The crab arrancini and the burrata bruschetta were the highlights of the meal. Sooo good. When you share a bunch of dishes everything comes out pretty reasonably priced. Deducting a star because I don’t love the atmosphere. Some places can pull off the shared table experience, but here it feels more like a loud, crowded cafeteria. I also hate seats with no back — very uncomfortable. I would go back, but not for a special occasion.

I wasn’t expecting to love Delarosa as much as I did. At first glance I thought it looked pretty similar to Delfina Pizzeria, which is just OKAY to me but not amazing. However I was pleasantly surprised to see that they have way more options and a really full menu. We started off with a couple starters, including the crispy taglioni dumplings which were amazing. Nice and crispy on the outside, and once you bite into them you get the soft and creamy taste of the taglioni. Essentially you can think of them as fried pasta balls and they’re delicious! We also ordered the pancetta and egg pizza which was really tasty as well. Almost tasted like a breakfast pizza, but was very light and filling at the same time! I highly recommend Delarosa for a fun dinner. Food and atmosphere are on point, with seating inside and outside. Definitely a must try.

We came here on a Friday night and had no trouble getting a table with no wait, which is impressive for the area. That was one of the biggest reasons we decided to come here. Tropisueno next door had a crazy long wait– that’s where the crowds go. Service was friendly, and food came quickly. We shared an eggplant parmigiana appetizer. It was pretty good. For dinner, I got the roasted turkey panini, which came with chips. It was nothing spectacular, and I was kind of disappointed with the meal for the price. It tasted like a panini I could get anywhere for a lower price. The ambiance was good, but overall, the food was not great. There are definitely better places for food in the area.

We really enjoyed Delarosa in the Marina, so decided to drop by this one. We waited about 20m to be seated for a table of two. The service was good. We ordered some pasta dish and a margherita pizza. We were really disappointed by the poorly made Margherita pizza. They just plopped on the mozzarella without properly spreading it out to melt properly, we could tell because the cheese was just a giant chunk in the middle of the pizza, about 15 degrees cooler than the rest of the pizza. Sadly after about 10m into the meal, each of the slices were getting cold too because the temperature of the cheese was so overpowering. It seems like the pizza here is cooked inconsistently in general, since we saw another table order the same pizza that did not have giant chunks of mozzarella. This was very disappointing and we probably won’t be coming back again.

If you’re looking for food that will literally melt in your mouth, Delarosa is the place to be. The Bible says man cannot live on bread alone, but I could absolutely eat the burrata bruschetta for the rest of my life, and nothing else. I’m fairly sure I had 5 pieces of it alone at my first visit here, hardly leaving room for all the other goodies that were yet to come. I could honestly give this place 5 stars based on that bread by itself. However, there are other highlights to this place. I was particularly impressed with the meatballs, and meatballs are definitely not a thing I would choose to eat on my own. I would happily come back for those as well. The pizza(I had margherita) was topped with the best quality cheese and the crust held up well for how dense the toppings were. Also impressive were the little fried balls of crab(didn’t catch their name). They serve a specialty bottled root beer from Portland, Maine that I would gladly search out in stores. With a nice, bustling atmosphere and kind, quick service during a crowded lunch, this place was on the money. If I visited San Fransisco again, I wouldn’t hesitate to make a beeline back here for dinner.

I came here last time I was in SF. I came with a large group of people from work. Since there was a large group of us, we did it family style and the food was already chosen for us. It was a great way to try multiple items off of the menu. We started with appetizers and then moved onto main dishes, and then of course dessert! We had a reservation so we did not have a wait. It was a Thursday evening and was very crowded. Our reservation was around 6:30pm and the place was already very crowded and stayed crowded throughout the night. I would highly recommend making reservations. Since it was crowded, it was very loud. I was at least able to talk to those around me haha. Customer service overall was good. To be honest, I don’t remember all the food we had. We had a lot of the choices, so it was hard to keep track! However, everything we ate was delicious!

A friend and I decided to random pick a restaurant in SF for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and the lucky winner of the day was Delarosa! Ambience — — — - A very pretty restaurant with long shared benches for seating and small light bulb decorations across the ceiling. Very elite ambience! Food —– ~ We loved the broccolini appetizer. Those of you who think broccoli is not worth your love, do try this one. ~The bruschetta bread(minus the cheese) was very tasty with a tinge of garlic flavor. A more subtle version of garlic bread I would say. ~We ordered one of the vegetarian pastas they had. While it was nothing to rave about, it was still pretty good food. ~We also ordered another egg plant dish that was customized to be vegetarian(minus the meat). The cream on top was a great idea! Dessert — — – We had plain vanilla ice cream for dessert. Yup, they had three to four ice cream flavors(apart from other dessert options) and while I really ordered the espresso, what I got was vanilla. I couldn’t bother to reorder, thankfully even the vanilla ice cream was quite a treat. Service — — – We were regularly asked if we needed something. I’d say we were taken pretty good care of. If only they hadn’t switched the ice cream flavor they would get a five. Oh and I almost forgot. They have some interesting cocktails to go with the food. Four stars for overall experience!

3.5 Stars. Delicious Food but Mediocre service. We came around 5PM on a Saturday when it was only 50% full and were seated at the long communal table, parallel to the bar. I would hope the bad service was a one-off thing and wouldn’t happen again because I love Delarosa in the Marina and was expecting the same kind of excellent service at Yerba Buena. Upon sitting down, no one ever came by to take our order and get us accommodated. After 15 mins, I finally flagged someone down and he took our orders and brought us water after requesting it. We shared 2 appetizers(the meatballs– $ 8 and delicious Burrata with hazelnuts/honey -$ 8), 2 pastas(pappardelle napoletana– $ 11& dungeness crab meat linguini– $ 16) and 1 dessert(Coppa ice cream topped with pistachios and chocolate sauce). The Pasta Napoletana was amazing– I loved how the pasta was chewy but still al dente and the rich tomato sauce was perfect. The prices are reasonable and the ambiance is relaxed, casual, but spacious. Most tables here are communal seating style. They do not take reservations — it is all first come first serve. I look forward to returning, and hoping to bump my next review up!

After gorging on the Burrata buschetta, crab linguine and Margherita pizza, I had the nerve to devour a platter of sugary Bombolini with three different dipping sauces. All of the dishes were scrumptious except for the pasta, which was a bit salty and flaccid, but I ate it anyway. There isn’t a lot of things that I wouldn’t put in my mouth.

Amazing Italian restaurant located in a cute little area in SF right off Powell Bart station. It gets pretty crowded here during dinner time(6 ish) so I tried to make a reservation here a day before, however they only take reservations for groups of 8+. The wait was actually not too bad though, about 15 mins, and there is plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. We got seated near the bar area, which was a bit noisy, so it was difficult to have a conversation with my friend, so if you plan on chatting, try to ask for a seat farther from the bar or outside instead. The food here is incredible! We ordered the crab arancini, scallops spiedini, and my entrée was the Dungeness crab linguini. Ingredients for every dish were extremely fresh and the food came out surprisingly fast considering how many people were present. Also pricing is really reasonable here, most places will charge more for lower quality. Crab arancini(4⁄5) This was delicious! For those that don’t know, arancini is basically a fried risotto ball. The ones served here also has Dungeness crab inside, and plenty of it as well. The only reason why it doesn’t get 5⁄5 is because it was a bit dry for my taste, but otherwise really enjoyable. Scallops spiedini(5⁄5) The scallops were cooked perfectly! They came in a nice citrus sauce and a bed of potatoes. Friend and I debated to get a second order of this. Dungeness crab linguini(5⁄5) I’m no pasta expert but I’d like to believe that this linguini was housemade cos it was absolutely amazing. They do not skimp on the crab at all! There were plenty of chunks in there. The dish portion was smaller than I anticipated, but luckily I did order appetizers so I didn’t complain, but do be aware of that. Overall, great restaurant, great service, amazing food. I expect to come here again!

A group of us went to Delarosa after work for happy hour last Friday, March 18th at 5:45pm. It was packed and the wait for a party of 5 was going to be 30+ mins. Luckily, right as we were putting our names down, a group of people left the bar and we were able to snag their spots. We were at the beginning of the bar, closest to the door, so we had our own space. They have HH specials Monday — Friday, 4pm-6pm. Wine: *Cava, miguel pons, la granada($ 6) *Vermintino, casamatta, fiesole($ 6) *Sangiovese, scarpetta, tuscany($ 6) I tried all the wines on the HH menu. The cava wasn’t really my style. I like my sparkling wines dry. The white was good. Almost everyone in our party tried a glass of it. I decided to try the red which was okay. I love bold reds, so this didn’t really suit my tastes. Pizzettas: *Hot salami, tomato, spicy coppa, provolone, calabrese chili oil($ 6) x2 *Funghi misti, tomato, fontina, thyme($ 6) x2 Antipasti: *Fried artichoke hearts, caper aioli($ 5) *Saffron risotto arancini, smoked mozzarella, marinara($ 5) *Baked sweet pepper, marinara, provolone, oregano($ 5) We basically ordered the whole HH food menu. The pizzettas were small, but still a good size. Each one was four slices. Since I’m wasn’t eating red meat, I only had the mushroom one. The crust was soft with a nice chew. The pizza had a great earthiness from the mushrooms. The small bites we got were okay. The peppers were good. Like a pizza small bite with peppers instead of crust. The artichoke hearts were crispy and the aioli creamy. Some people didn’t like it, but I thought it was all right. I did wish the aioli was a little more refreshing versus just being salty from the capers. I didn’t really try the arancini, so I can’t really comment on that. After HH was over, we were still thirsty, so we got two bottles of Sauvignon blanc: hunt & harvest, napa ’14($ 40 bottle). I’ve only recently started drinking more white wine, so I’m not very versed in whites. When drinking white, I like them crisp and dry. This one didn’t seem as crisp as I like. Definitely a fun place for HH. I do wish they offered more variety in terms of their HH pizzettas. I’ll probably come back to try their regular pizzas now that I’ve checked out their HH specials.

I really like the food at Delarosa. It’s guaranteed to be SO delicious(hello burrata with honey and chopped hazelnuts!) and more importantly, consistent. At the Marina and Yerba Buena locations, they’re able to turn out solid, super thin crust Roman style pizza. We loved the hot salami and coppa pizza as well as the crowd favorite crab arancini. While I do prefer this location over the Marina one, I still cannot feel relaxed while eating. Communal style seating always make me feel closed in: watching my elbows, minding that my plates/glass/phone/purse doesn’t go into my neighbor’s space. It’s just not for me. I suggest to get here early to beat the lunch rush before noon. You don’t have to worry about missing that 1pm meeting since the staff here is trained to get you out of here quick.

A full day of stuffing my face and here I was at Delarosa for dinner. Mind you that, we just had Hog Island Oyster about 30 minutes ago. We ordered the following: — Crispy tagliolini dumplings, mozzarella, prosciutto, and green peas. Sound so good, but poorly executed. They need a little seasoning and more stuffing inside the dumplings. — Brussels sprouts with caper aioli that was very tasty and full of flavor. I could eat a bowl all by myself. –Pizza topped with prosciutto di parma, arugula, and mozzarella. Everything about this pizza was delicious. Great ambiance. Great food. Great service. Will come back! I hope you give this place a try. Cheers!

We came here to grab dinner with some friends. The atmosphere is trendy and modern. They have communal style seating inside and outside and it’s first come first serve. A great location to catch up with friends but it can get pretty loud inside. Make sure your whole party arrives at the same time because they won’t seat you until everyone’s there. The menu features delicious Italian food made from fresh ingredients. It’s best to order a bunch of items and share. Some of our favorites were the bruschetta with burrata, hazelnut and honey, chicken Parmesan, kale and Cesar salad, and eggplant pasta. Each bite was just heavenly. Their pizza was cooked to perfection as well! They were crazy busy during the dinner rush and most people were waiting 15 – 30 minutes for a seat. The food is fantastic but the service needs work. It took 15 minutes to order our drinks and another 15 minutes to order our food. Our server never checked on us and he was impossible to find to get our check. Not the best place to come if you want to be in and out.

Trendy and fun atmosphere. Located on the strip of trendy and fun restaurants e.g. Tropisueno and such. As for the pizza. We went for the margherita. It was kinda good, but it was served totally cold. Blistering hot pizza that burns the roof of my mouth — the best kind – didn’t happen here. Overall, pretty average. Service was good. Would I come here again? Only if I was meeting someone after work for happy hour because it’s trendy and fun.
