Uncle Crusty’s Bike Shop

Stopped in this afternoon to get a U-​Lock and new bike lights. They stock the best quality, even though bike toys are expensive! No worries, Frank jumped right in and installed my new lock for free and even went so far as to replace the flashlight on the key that wasn’t working. The staff are hilarious and super friendly, definitely going back!

The place in Sonoma county to find a vintage bike. Crusty is the very helpful, warm knowledgeable owner who makes this business what it is. Fair responsible and helpful. Thanks for everything !

When I saw the way Frank responded to one of his critics, I thought,“I am definitely taking my bike to this guy”.
Totally worth it, I not only spent less than I thought I would, I got my bike back quickly and it looks and rides beautifully now. Just took it in for a tune-​up and get some shifters installed. Frank caught that the shifters may not be the correct timing (I bought them on Amazon) and researched it to confirm they were during his inspection. We reviewed everything on the bike and he had it back in a couple days.
While I was there I checked out the selection of bikes and they have everything from $ 3000 new down to $ 100 used. Going to get my wife a $ 100 starter to see if she likes it.

Found my new shop! After years of doing business with the Bike Peddler, I finally got fed up with their terrible customer service, pretentiousness, dismissive attitudes, extremely high prices, and constant hounding me to buy an unnecessary new $ 5k bike.
Uncle Crusty’s has great service, great prices, and an unpretentious attitude. That’s right, a bike shop in Sonoma County that doesn’t make you feel like a lesser human being for not having a new bike! Wow!

Rude customer service, would never shop here again.
Edit: Cry me a river Frank H, provide good customer service, focus on your customer, and quit blaming others for your own short comings. Others might have had a good experience with Uncle Custy’s, ours was poor and would never shop there again or recommend to anyone we know. Buyer beware! The good thing about Unilocal,feedback on both good and bad experiences about a business. Our experience with Uncle Crusty’s and Frank H was bad, you can be the ultimate judge, visit them and roll the dice! The big question, do you like to gamble on a losing horse?

I’m giving 5 stars because I am not an experienced bike person so I don’t know anything about fancy bikes. I started going to Uncle Crusty’s in his old location because I needed to start riding bikes again and just needed a basic bike? I hadn’t been on a bike in 30 years and when I took the motorcycle class in Cloverdale and flunked! I decided I needed to get my balance and confidence back. Frank has been helping me with my good folding bike that I got from him. I am oooold so I need a bike I can lift myself. He sold it to me and helps me keep it in good condition. And, he is the nicest guy’

Great shop, great atmosphere, tons of interesting bikes. Always fun to stop in.

My Son is rebuilding a bike that he bought for 25.00 at a thrift shop. We went to uncle crustys for tubes and tires after researching on Unilocal.This shop was great. Reasonable prices. Service was excellent. When the guy found out my Son had never changed a bike ride. He patiently volunteered a step by step procedure with lots of helpful hints and gave him a tool to use. Great shop. We will definately be back!

I was on a ride and my handle bar broke good thing I was less than a mile from uncle crusty’s bike shop! They where able to replace my handle bar in less than a half hour and the replacement part and labor was a fraction of the price that I was expecting. Thank you for saving me as I was far from home!

They genuinely love bikes and are super helpful. Little repairs and tuneups are often done for free. Great place for parts also.

Great customer service! Fast and efficient work. The price was great. They have a lot of vintage bikes, as well as new ones. This is a home for your bike that needs some tender loving care, or if you just need to add one to your collection.

Love this bike shop. Frank and the guys here are very down to earth and will take care of you and your bike. They don’t just care about money. My tires were low on air one time and I went in to ask for help. Frank pumped air into my tires free of charge. I was so surprised when I asked him how much that would cost me. He simply replied «Air is free. I won’t charge you just because I have the equipment to pump air into your tires.» He also recommended getting a pump as an investment and told me about the special tune up deal for $ 55 at the moment. Totally recommend this bike shop to anyone out there needing some quality work done on their rides :)

I went to Uncle Crusty’s this morning and found the perfect bike. It suited all my needs, super comfy to ride and in my budget. WIN! I had gone to several bike shops in the county and hadn’t found the right bike. So I was very happy to find this bike.
They have lots of bikes in the shop. The bike I bought wasn’t on the website (they hadn’t had time to upload it yet) when I checked the night before. If you go to the store they have more bikes on the floor than on the website. So go by and see what they have. They had a wide selection of different kinds of bikes, parts and accessories. The owner Frank was easy to talk to, explained the bike fully to me and educated me about the bike. He is really friendly and cares about helping people find the right bike. They also have a shop with good prices to tune up or maintain your bike.
Really can’t say enough about how happy I was with the sale and the bike! I hope to go back soon and get my wife a new (used) sweet bike so we can go riding together.

Discovered Uncle Crusty’s via Unilocal.His Unilocal reviews brought us in. we traded in 3 bikes (one brand new) we «couldn’t» use for two newish bikes we can use. We just rode our «new» bikes from RP to SR for lunch for the first time. The bikes are PERFECT for us. Uncle Crusty (Frank) was really good at listening to us and knowing what we wanted/​needed. We will continue to go to (and highly recommend) Uncle Crusty to all bicycle enthusiasts we know. Service, prices all deserve FULL stars
