You know, I feel really bad for this place. They’re right across the street from that well-reviewed New York slice place(who, for some reason, don’t know the meaning of «be open when you say you will»), and they’re shoved in the back of a shopping center, so they probably don’t get very much business. We went in during lunchtime and we were the only people there. The lady who helped us was super duper nice. The least I can do is give them a shout out as a better-than-average North Bay pizza place. They’re not New York style, they’re not Chicago style. They’re just«regular» style pizza. Something about their cheese & sauce mixture is unique. I will definitely remember the taste of their pizza. Their prices are about average for most pizza places in the area, which is sort of too bad — maybe lower prices would give them a leg up ;) We used the Sonoma Savings card(which they only accept for 2009 so hurry up!) and got 50% off our order. The amount we paid after the discount was about the amount I felt the pizza was worth. I feel sort of bad saying that, because I want this place to do well. But, there it is. Try them out, decide for yourself.

Friends and I tried this place to try a new pizza place in town. We ordered the breadsticks but they were bland although the salad was very good. We then ordered the pizza and it was just so so but not all that great. The service was good but the only real turn off was the owner of the place going up to the window to take an appetizer to a table and taking one of the appetizer’s out of the basket and putting it on the counter, taking the basket to the table and going back and picking up the piece and eating it… so unprofessional and we thought we were seeing things at first, why not just ask the cook to make him an extra one or two… I guess thats why it was almost empty at 7pm.

I really like the pizza here but the thing I don’t like about this place is the bad service. I will go here every once in a while just because it’s in a convenient spot for me. The salad is decent but I do enjoy their large selection of beer on tap.

This is a great family place in Santa Rosa. Sometimes when you go the place is packed with kids sports teams, so I try to avoid those nights. The pizza is not thin crust, but not exactly thick, its pretty in between, but its really really crispy and I love it. For the first few times I went here I only had pizza and salad so when I finally went and ordered their pasta I was pleasantly surprised to find it was actually very good. I’m a big fan of the pesto raviolo. They have a cute little bar and everyone here is pretty friendly.

I do enjoy eating here, food is good. I may say rather pricy for it being good. Staff should remain professional. I’ve noticed they gather up in a coner and yap yap away, while myself and others are patiently waiting their food and be waited on. I suppose I am too generous to give four stars! One waiter(she) who always takes time to make sure we doing great makes the difference in my rating.

I love Pizzeria Grillo… Its a wonderful local treat! Tony the owner is amazing and all of his family recipes are sooo good! I drive from RP just to go to Tony’s because the hot wings, pizza & Gelatto are the best in town! The Monday night beer specials are awesome because during football season there are always people in there and the bartender is just sooo nice! I recommend Grillo’s to everyone!

Pizzeria Grillo is a nice little Italian food place with pizzas, sandwiches, and pastas. The pasta is very good, the pizzas are ok, and the sandwiches are great. The main reason I visit this place is because I can go to a clean, quiet bar, talk to Chris, and get a fairly priced beer or two. If you go Mondays and can stomach it, you can drink domestic pints for $ 2.00! A big HDTV has a local baseball or football game on behind the bar, and it’s a great place to just chill.

Today I got to be the one to go get the pizza.(I am so happy I did. I would never have known anything more about this place had I not gone.) We most often get this pizza when we need something for a lot of people on a spur of the moment basis. The crust is crisp and tender, thin and it almost tastes like they fried it or something. Mmmmm frrriiied. I am happy I was sent out on the mission tonight because I had no idea they even had a whole restaurant with more than just pizza on the menu. It looks like a good ol’ place to set down and enjoy yourself some pizza pie. They have hot subs, calzones, and pasta dishes as well which look soooo tempting. I can’t wait for my chance to actually eat in house. Next time I’ma gonna tell ever body, come ona downa. We gonna go to the pizza place ah an we ALLA gonna getta da pizza! Ay!

This is always a fun neighborhood dine for me. This place has my heart because I just lof Chris who you will often find behind the bar. He is incredible, and every local joint needs a guy like him. I am not a huge fan of pizza in general, so my opinion(unless you put green olives and sausage on a thin crust) shouldn’t really count… I do enjoy their crust, and like the margarhita pizza quite a bit. But they make this one — deep dish, with pesto, onions, sausage& olives which is the total favorite of my usual foodie dining companion(and he is the pizza fanatic of the two of us) I am a huge fan of their meatball sammy as well as the ceaser salad and also the green salad. Oh and the hot wings are tasty too(if not a little on the small side) Plus they have spumoni gelato for dessert — how can anyone turn that down? Decent selection of the usual beers– reasonably priced and on certain days they have different deals which if you are with a group — makes it all more worth the while to check them out. We have brought the softball team here a number of times too and it’s a great location if you have kids with you — cause they can make their own pizzas.

Excellent food. We go to Grillo’s as often as possible. While the wings are on the small side, they have excellent taste. Best I’ve had outside Buffalo. The kids love the make your own pizza. The wife and I absolutely love Grillo’s margherita pizza, made w/olive oil instead of red sauce. A crust makes a great pizza, Grillo’s crust is fantastic.

Great pizza and buffalo wings! They also have delicious gelato! Yummy — you can’t find good gelato in many places! The chicken finger parm pizza is the best with a little red onion added on. The bar has a good variety of beers on tap or if you’re not into beer with your pizza and wings… they have wine and mixed drinks.

Edible. If you have kids who like to make their own stuff, they will bring you a personal pizza dough. Kids can put their own sauce, cheese, and toppings on it, and then they’ll bake it up. Kind of like Kramer’s dream, but you can’t slide it into the oven yourself. If you were standing outside, hungry, and had no car, it would be OK to eat here. I would prefer to walk across the street to «I Love NY Pies».
