This is a fantastic store. Knowledgable staff, friendly, great stuff. Not as cheap as Target or Walmart, for sure, but not out of bounds for what they are selling, which is high quality stuff. SERVICEDEPARTMENT alone is worth going to and knowing about. I took in a Cuisenart Food processor part that I had determined was not working(by swapping parts with someone whose was working.) The service guy played with the part, said, «This piece is not broken. Did you bring the rest of it?» He was reluctant to sell me something that he thought I didn’t need. I took it home and tried it again and, lo and behold, it worked. Maybe by playing with it he sprung a part that was out of whack? I don’t know. But I love a place that is so honest they will sacrifice a sale for your benefit. I like the place and will go back. Not sure how the people here with negative reviews got such bad service at such a friendly place. This is a small, local business. You can’t expect return policies and discounts like you would get in big stores. I’m sure they don’t have that kind of profit margin to play with. I’m really glad they do what they do to stay in business. SO great to be able to have an appliance repaired locally instead of throwing it away or mailing it somewhere. 5 stars, no less.

Every small appliance and most of the kitchen gadgets in our home came from Hardisty’s. They’re an excellent source of outstanding quality products at fair prices. Nice folks too. They’ll also take the time to work with you and help you decide which brand and model of a particular appliance best meets your needs. I spent an hour in the store yesterday shopping for a new coffee pot and bean grinder to replace our old, dying coffee maker. It very pleasant experience. Bought some of their coffee to try too. They’re also the service center for most appliances. We had them fix my 40 year old Kitchenaid K5A mixer a while ago and they did a great job. You might find something at a lower price online, but the outstanding service from Hardisty’s makes shopping at this locally owned store a must.

I brought my espresso machine to these people to have it repaired and serviced. I was struck by the lack of caring and customer service they exhibited. I was so disappointed with my interaction that I decided to go back and pick up the machine and find another repair alternative. I was able to repair the machine myself. It’s hard to believe this business is still around.

I mad a purchase of over $ 100 this week. As we were finalizing the purchase, I asked about the return policy as this was to be a Christmas gift. The clerk informed me there is only a 30 day return policy(and under her breath said I hadn’t told her that before I purchased the item). Since Christmas was over 30 days away, the return policy wouldn’t work for me so I had the sale voided. I was disappointed because I would rather do business with a local store and I’ve always enjoyed shopping there. The manager was very friendly and helpful at voiding my credit card purchase-at least.

I shop a lot at this store and i am sure they must recognize me by now. i’ve probably purchased thousands of dollars of items here. I’ve never rebuke them but i do want to put in my two cents here. I had just purchased the last one on the shelf, an unbreakable french press. and also one other item, and the bill came to over 100 bucks. I don’t mind paying the money, and maybe i saved something, i didn’t shop around. But then they gave me nothing for the last store demo model of the 80 $+ item, and when they asked me if i wanted a bag they offered to charge me for that as well. I didn’t say anything obviously, but it had me talking to myself on the way out. I don’t think it will ever be the first place i shop again…

I drove to HARDISTY’S after a disappointing experience at that other cooking store down the road. Thankfully I got the customer service I was expecting at Hardisty’s. I received the kind of attention I expect no matter where I’m spending my money. I will pay extra for better customer service. In this case both stores charged the same price for the item I was looking for, but as unhappy as I was with the other store I would have gladly paid Hardisty’s more. :-) Buying local clearly was the better option. I should have driven here first and not wasted my time.

Now, in their 89th year as a home-grown, family owned true Santa Rosa original business icon, Hardisty’s STILLHASIT! My wife and I, way back in a galaxy far, far, away, purchased our FIRST whole bean coffee at the old Hardisty’s downtown on 5th street. I LOVED that store! Two stories of gourmand cookware heaven. Since then I’ve followed their various locations and the latest is the best so far(after the original store!). In the Farmer’s Lane shopping center(right across the street from Jonny Garlic’s and next to the Starbucks) with all the goodies a foodie dreams of for Holiday shopping. I bought a pound of coffee that seem intriguing to me and also chatted with their repair shop guy who stated I needed to bring in my ancient«Kitchen-Aid» mixer for a tune-up! I didn’t even know you could DOTHAT! I was taken by their«toaster-oven» section with the new stoves appearing like mini-wolf ranges! Go and check it out. Support a classic, iconic Santa Rosa original! Go visit Hardisty’s this Holiday Season and begin a new tradition.

Reasonably priced quality repair on my Saeco Incanto. Personable staff listened to me and called when the service was done. I recommend them for service. In the kitchenware sales area, I get the feeling that they don’t like you to browse. Looking for coffee filters, I got sidetracked looking at lemon zesters or something like that. A woman comes up quite close with can I help you find something.(in not so sincere tone) More like: ‘what are you here for?’ Disguised as customer service. I must not have dressed upscale enough or something. I told her that I was getting an appliance serviced, and also needed coffee filters. I stopped to look at other things. She told me where the filters were. I said thank you, but did not follow her to the filters. She stood by the filters and asked me what size I needed from halfway across the store. I felt the pressure of her goal to get me out of the store. I did not know the size of the filters I needed. How could I not? I must be some kind of idiot. I called someone who knew, paid for the filters and got the hell out. A huge weight lifted off me. It’s been a while since I’ve felt that ‘watch him so that he doesn’t shoplift’ feeling. Picking up the appliance, she was very quick to get in front of me on my way to the service counter, and I was walking fast. Can I help you with something? And blocking me. She should have played football. Or a hockey goalie. Really not inviting. I just want to pick up my serviced appliance. I promise not to look at the kitchen gadgets today. I will just leave. There was no rush to get the door for me as I carried my rather heavy and large espresso maker out.

This is an amazing local kitchen store! They actually know about the products they sell and don’t just read you what’s on the box! They also repair most of the products that they sell so that when you invest in kitchen appliances you don’t have to buy a new one as soon as the warrantee runs out! They are very helpful and will not just sell you a product, but will also educate you on how to use it!
An excellent locally owned housewares shop. Carries medium to good quality home small kitchen appliances, cookware, tools, etc. But this is Not a professional restaurant supply. You’re not going to find buffalo grinders, 56 quart Hobart mixers, nor wolf ranges here. This is a home appliance store. The inventory is the same items you’ll find at a Sur La Table or Williams-Sonoma, at pretty much the same prices. The draw is that this family owned shop is run by older woman that know product information, know how the appliances work, & they can order parts for your Cuisinart. I prefer to shop home town small businesses over corporate outlets when price and salesmanship are equal. They are here. Recommended.

This place is fantastic and saved me a ton of money. I have a KitchenAid blender. One of those stainless steel, super cool ones that cost way too much to replace. I love my blender. I have worked it hard over the years and it is by no means new. However, a part on it finally broke. I really wasn’t feeling like I could afford to replace it. Thank goodness for this place because I didn’t have to! They are an official Kitchen Aid dealer/repair facility. There aren’t too many in the Bay Area so this place is a godsend. For $ 25 and less than 1 day, they fixed my fabulous blender and it is as good as new! Yes! Here come the protein shakes and margaritas!
