It’s a nice place and I had a nice lunch with my girlfriend here. It definitely has a 50s dinner feel to it– which is what they were going for. It wasn’t crowded and service was quick. My waitress was very friendly and did a great job. The reason I am leaving only 3 stars is because of the two problems I had. First, two components of my order were missing. I pointed this out to my waitress and she rushed to get me the other parts. I was disappointed however, when she only brought me one of the missing things. I didn’t feel like pointing it out, so I just let it go. My other problem is that the portions are far smaller than I expected, especially for the price! I small breakfast burrito and two pieces of toast cost me $ 10!!! That is outrageous! This was the most expensive breakfast burrito I have ever gotten, and the most expensive, too! I will not be going back there as long as they are changing such high prices for their tiny portions.

Okay — I’ll try not to be to critical here, because I like to promote businesses not tear them down. The food here is great! I ordered a Gyro platter and when the order was finally corrected — I enjoyed it tremendously! I venture to think that this may have been a fluke when my order first off was forgotten and the waitress realized it when knowing our order should have been ready, when it actually belonged to another table. Then when delivered I’d asked for no onions and this had to be corrected. Don’t get me wrong we were very forgiving, while hungry, believing it was a mishap. Just make sure that you are specific and don’t distract the servers too much(as we did with conversation). It happened, the place is clean, people are nice and the environment is typical 50s style diner. The truly aim to please, I believe! Will go back to make sure and because as stated– I love a Gyro sandwich!

I ate here during a lunch break because a coworker was eating a ceasar salad from here that looked delicious. I ordered the same thing and ate it at work. After about half an hour I had a stomach ache and was having stomach issues the rest of the night. The next morning I was throwing up and it ended up being that I got food posioning. After sharing my story I found that 3 other coworkers had gotten sick from chubby’s and we had all ordered different dishes. I wish this wasn’t the case because they have good food, but getting sick is not worth it.

A few days ago I decided to give this place a try, so I took my 2.5 year old daughter with me to check it out. Took a corner booth to check out the place and also because it was pretty busy, so seat selection was low. Sat there for a while and waited to be greeted. Finally had some menus handed to us and had our drink orders taken. Then waited around even longer to get the drinks and have our order taken. The waitress was far from friendly, but she was busy so I sorta get it. As we both waited for our food, I sat and watched the rest of the tables. I saw a majority of the tables all waiting for something, whether it be a menu, drinks, a check, or even to get checked out. I also watched people sit at their table and stare at the waitress as she was running around. I also watched people walk out because even getting menus took a long time. I watched people have to get up and get their checks/pay for their checks at the register because if they didn’t, they would never get out of there in a timely manner. When it comes to the food, I ordered the Huevos rancheros and a side of hash browns and for my daughter i got her Mickey mouse pancake and two pieces of bacon. The huevos rancheros was awesome! I was pretty surprised and it saved this review from a 1 star. For drinks, my daughter had an apple juice and I had gotten a coffee(that wasn’t refilled or even asked to have it refilled, which in a diner is huge to me) and an oj. Our entire breakfast was $ 34! Waaaay over priced and definitely will keep me from coming here again, I couldn’t believe it was that much. All in all, I am never coming back. Not worth the time or the money just to enjoy a breakfast with my daughter.

Absolutely horrible. Food was frozen and reheated, nothing was freshly made. Everything had a very off taste. This over-priced and disgusting food is not worth our time. We were the only table in the restaurant and it took 40 min to get our food.

Been here a few times now. Everything I’ve ordered here has been great. Right next to Old Navy in the Costco shopping center. Fries are perfect every time. Grilled cheese is bomb.

First off I would like to say the staff was amazing greeting us with big smiles very happy people. Giving us menus very quickly and taking our orders very quickly as well. The food came out very quickly! My niece had the chicken tenders which she absolutely loved. My boyfriend have a corn beef hash very good! But the issue is with what I ordered I ordered the steak salad now the steak salad does not show what actually comes with it but I expected more than I got. Literally I paid 1299 for a bed of lettuce and a few pieces of steak on top… I order steak salads everywhere… I was expecting to see more vegetables more fixings on the salad not just steak and lettuce was very disappointed! I was also disappointed in the fact the waitress asked me how I want my steak cooked I said medium rare… And it came well done.

Stopped in for a sit-down lunch while waiting for the car tires to be rotated at Costco(150 yards away). Well, in a nutshell the food is pretty mediocre. If you’re savvy you’ll expect this will be the case as you enter the somewhat disheveled, faux 1950’s theme dining area. Walk up to the counter to order, then go sit & wait not too long for the vittles. Bambie’s Sunkist canned tuna fish sandwich was mega mayonnaise-y, it was slathered on cheap store bought sliced bread. My lunch was so below average, I’ve blessedly forgotten what it was. Soup? Chile con carne? Soupy chili? The young employees were cheerful and helpful. Aaaa, we were hungry, the meal with soft drinks cost $ 22. Worst things have happened. BTW, this strip mall location has a few other franchise chain-cheap-eateries such as: L&L Hawaiian BBQ, et al. None of them offer«cuisine».

Another Unilocaler said it best: «Where diner dreams come to die.» I’m positive the only reason this place stays in business is due to it’s location. The basic two eggs with two strips of bacon, side of toast and hash browns cost $ 10.49. A cup of coffee was $ 2.49. Eggs were not over easy as requested. Hash browns were barely browned and still cold in the middle. The redeeming quality here was the waitress, who managed to keep up with over 10 tables along with to-go orders solo, with coffee consistently refreshed.

My family and I decided to check out Chubby’s Diner because it looked like a cute diner. The staff was friendly but the food terrible and the prices overrated. We ordered a side of hashbrowns and chicken strips and the hashbrowns were the slimiest, grossest hashbrowns I’ve ever eaten. They only gave us two small chicken strips and less then a handful of fries for 8 bucks. For the money we spent on two simple dishes and the food turning out horrible, I will never go back here.
