Yes, I know it’s Restaurant Week in Santa Fe. And to keep the prices low, certain shortcuts gave to be made. But don’t put jambalaya with sausage and seafood on the menu and then leave out the sausage and seafood. Good mushroom soup, however.

Best meal I’ve ever had. Was able to sneak in on Valentine’s Day, and the experience was phenomenal. It was like going to someone’s house who has a fantastic wine cellar and a chef. Everything was incredible. Can’t wait to go back! Thank you thank you!

Everything was fabulous! The ambiance, décor, service, food, all was excellent. The only complaint would be that the dishes are huge!

I visited this place on Wed, Jan 6, 2016. It was a cute place with live music and a large wine selection. The staff was friendly. I ordered the pear salad and duck ragu. My date ordered the onion soup and salmon entrée. The pear salad was just OK, as was the onion soup. The salmon was cooked and flavored nicely. Then there was the duck ragu. It tasted terrible. The entire thing. The meat was left-over and re-heated(perhaps several times over). The broth was watery and had an inconsistent, tart flavor. My first bite also had a granular texture, like sand. I’ve experienced that with oysters on occasion, but why in a duck ragu?! The pasta. .. blah. My suggestion is that if it can’t be made fresh, please take if off of the menu or state that it has run out for the night and suggest something else. I would return, but not for an entrée. Wine, music and some deserts of other guests looked quite tasty. I had a petite sirah and my date had a riesling, they were both great!

Enjoyed the prime rib on special. But the place is special because of the individual attention given by the chef /owner. My 5 year old really enjoyed everything and that makes it fun for everyone. Twice baked post was nice to with excellent coffee, dessert and wine selection.

We had reservations for New Year’s Eve. We were seated in the back of the building. By back I don’t meant back room I mean on the back patio in a tent. This wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t 15 degrees outside and not too far from that in the tent. My wife and I had to wear our jackets throughout most of the dinner. It’s a shame to pay $ 100+ for a meal and have an experience like this. When making the reservation they should ensure you are ok with sitting on the patio… especially in the winter. As far as the food goes, to sum it up they were $ 30 plates that tasted like $ 20 plates. Good but, much better food in the area for the money. I will admit our opinion of the food may have been tainted by the experience.

Christmas Eve 2015 was another fun, festive, and fabulous time at Terra Cotta. We sat at the bar, and Emily guided us through our culinary adventure, despite the packed house. She chose a wonderful Washington State Syrah for us from their immense wine list. We loved it! It accompanied our food perfectly. The food, wine, and service was excellent. Thank you for a lovely evening.

The food wasn’t bad, and the staff was wonderful. We went for Christmas and there was a flat fee for three courses. Way overpriced for what we received. I think on a normal day the prices would be more reasonable.

I really enjoyed my first trip here. It was a quiet Sunday evening, and we came in to check out the $ 6 glasses before 6pm deal. I was surprised by the amount of wines to chose from. Any glass normally $ 11 or under was just $ 6. They have an extensive and impressive wine list, with a wide variety of options available by the glass. I attached photos of today’s wine lists with bottles listed in every price range. The décor was cozy, and calming, as was the music. I can’t speak to the food, as there are literally no vegan options on the menu. I got waffle fries, but I don’t mind a shared fryer. If I could make one suggestion to the chef, it would be to add a vegan item to the menu. This would certainly inspire me to come here more often, spend more money, and refer my vegan friends.

Very very good. I keep going back… kind of thinking ‘ok, this meal won’t be as good.’ I know, it’s the stupid in me… WELL, I can’t believe this, but everything is fresh, homemade, and unbelievable good! Even our waitress, Anda of Romania, is really good at picking wines and knowing the next thing to order. Go here, put yourself in their hands, and have an unbelievable good meal. Think I’m kidding — wait till u try the ice cream, TerraCotta makes it themselves!(I won’t eat commercial ice creams.) Look around you, nothing is left on plates, spoons are licked clean. Uh huh, it’s that good. Soups are to die for. Onion rings are actually tickets to heaven. Fried chicken flies in from New Orleans — Uh, huh! Just stay out of my dang seat in the corner by door!

This was a great spot for a nice little date night. We got there early because we are still adjusting to the time change but it definitely fills up by around 6 so it’s good to get a reservation. It’s very easy to walk to if you’re a tourist staying in central Santa Fe. I tried the onion rings and ricotta ravioli and both were really good. The ambiance is also great and I especially loved the wine flight options so you can try different wines. The desserts were very tempting but we were too full to indulge.

Excellent service! Our waitress was a sweetheart and very attentive. The atmosphere was great, it had a feeling of home. It was cozy and warm. The food came out hot and quick! If I was being picky with the meals, my salmon I would say instead of being covered in a mustard sauce and served with a guess streak of chili, should have been grilled plain with minimal seasoning, and served with a guess streak of the mustard sauce, and no chili sauce. The mustard sauce was over powering on the fish, I wound up sloughing it off. With my companions steak, he indicated that it wasn’t cut the correct way, thus making it a little too chewy.

Incredible food!!! I enjoyed the chicken marsala so the last bite! It’s a wonderful intimate place to enjoy a bottle of wine or endless glasses of different wines! Great selection. Although the space can be tight and get a bit loud if it’s busy. But no matter! We really enjoyed our experience!

Get there before 6, have $ 6 wine! We were seated at exactly 6, and missed out on this deal. However we were very impressed by the wine list! We had olives and roasted garlic with some gluten free bread, which apparently they bake there. He had a Tempranillo and I had a delicious Sauvignon Blanc. He ordered fish and chips, and I ordered the flank steak. I thought my flank was a little tough, and definitely overpriced for flank, but was good nonetheless. In all honesty I’ve had better flank steak from food trucks on the street in Los Angeles; I don’t mean to sound harsh, but it’s just true. His fish n’ chips were, well fish n’ chips with a hefty price tag. He wished they were a little more generous with the sauce, and perhaps had served with the traditional malt vinegar, something to balance all the fry. Had to ask for more sauce. The atmosphere was wonderfully quaint, nice dim lighting, somewhat kitschy but palatable soft jazz, interesting art. The vintage bar in the front was very inviting, and I do plan to return there for wine before 6. I do have to say, there is a slight air of pretension. The wine list is vast, and our server did not offer much in the way of recommendation. She basically acted as if we should have done our research before coming to dine. There was an awkwardness to the whole thing, which did not facilitate a feeling of warmth and welcoming. Overall, I may be sounding a little harsh. And don’t get me wrong, I absolutely appreciate what they offer to Santa Fe dining(or rather the potential). But when you are spending $ 100+ for bistro fare for 2, there is certainly a level of service to be desired. I’m not giving up on you yet Terracotta, review to be continued…

Wonderful side street café with lovely ambiance inside and out. The service is outstanding. Friendly and attentive. The French Onion soup is to die for. And I absolutely loved the warm roasted pear, crumbled blue cheese and walnut salad. We will be back! And give it our highest recommendation!

Nice little place to have dinner in Santa Fe. Spoke to the owner over the phone(Linda) before arrival and what a sweet lady she is. The food was great and service was fast. I would return for future business.

This is our 1st meal in Santa Fe and it was absolutely delicious. My girlfriend and I love wine bars and is always on the hunt for that perfect combination of wine, cheese platter and Burrata salad. This wine bar is pristine and perfectly decorative. We were seated in the garden and on this fine Friday afternoon that was a good call. The table designs, floral centerpiece and garden plants lent the look and feel of being in a friend’s comfortable backyard. We are thoroughly impressed with this set up.

Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was great and the wine selection was vast. We really enjoyed the picnic appetizer, the flank steak and the bbq ribs, but the strawberry shortcake dessert was probably the best item.

One of the most amazing restaurant experiences we’ve had yet! The service here is gracious. And the chef came out to talk to us a few times. Chef Cathi is awesome! She made our dinner awesome. She talked to us about the food, she joked around with us. Her cooking stands on its own, but it always makes me happy when the chef comes out to talk to me. We had the clam chowder, which clearly had fresh clams and fresh vegetables. This is a little thing, but the vegetables were cut like a real chef would cut them. On to our entrees — we both had steak, sourced from New Mexico farms. I had the tenderloin, and it was quite possibly the most tender and flavorful I’ve ever had. It was sauced perfectly with a mushroom demi-glacé. I ate almost the entire large piece! My husband had the flatiron steak, and it, too, was uncharacteristically tender. We decided to skip dessert and have more wine. We were going to hang out in the bar to free up a table, but our server told us we were fine to stay at our table, as they had seated all their reservations and no one else was waiting. This is a truly elegant dining experience. The atmosphere is cozy and rustic, lovely and inviting.

8÷30÷14 Dinner Terra Cotta was the perfect place to start off our trip to Santa Fe. The dinner was our first meal and it was just fabulous. We sat in the colorful patio in the back of the 19th century adobe house. The staff was very friendly and accommodating the minute we walked through the door. They told us to pick a our favorite table. It was a hot day and we just wanted something light while we wind down, rest, and chat. Over our cocktails and wine, we noshed over the Warm Crab & Corn Dip with house-made potato chips($ 14). It was just tasty. Catherine’s Chicken Salad($ 14) is really a chicken chunk salad tossed with grapes and tarragon, sprinkled with roasted almonds on a bed of greens. It’s exactly what I wanted after a day of travel. It was light but not compromising in taste. Grilled Shrimps Salad($ 16) has a somewhat Mediteranean flavor to it. It’s a mixed green salad with olives in a blood orange dressing. We also shared a the«Not to be Shared» Onion Ring($ 6) over the meal. They have quite an extensive menu, from salmon, flank steak salad, fried chicken, to tenderloin of beef. There’s something for everyone. The chef came out and greeted the guests. She was very nice and funny, chitchatting with us about the food, Santa Fe, and her trips to Hong Kong(my hometown). Terra Cotta is really a jewel in the Santa Fe dining scene. It’s not right in Old Town but close enough. It’s right by the Georgia O’Keffe Museum. Plenty of parking on nearby side streets.
