AnastasiaB is right. If I had the funds, I would redecorate the house with every item in this store. It is definately up-scale, but also offer small items ideal for the Santa Fe visitor. I’m still dreaming about some of the Asian furniture and wooden screens. And the staff is top notch. They chat, ask about your visit and even offer(great) suggestions on other shopping, sights, museums and food around town. That’s a full-service shop. :)

What an incredible shop! Whenever my wife and I are in Santa Fe, we make an effort to stop by this store to browse around. Most of it is out of our price-range, and would not fit into our current lifestyle as renters, but it is beautiful to look at. And my wife, being from China, recognizes a lot of the antiques and vintage items this store offers. Probably the most enjoyable aspect of visiting Asian Adobe is two-fold: the people who work in this shop are very knowledgeable, AND they are extremely passionate and excited about the things they sell. As an example of this, yesterday we visited and brought my wife’s parents(who are visiting from China). With my wife interpreting between languages, her dad struck up a very engaging conversation with a gentleman at the shop, talking about how various antique furniture items were constructed or cared for, etc. Asian Adobe is warm, welcoming, and each visit is a new discovery of something beautiful from the Orient. Prices range from«what a steal» to «can’t afford it, but I wish I could because it’s still a great deal.» And like I said, there is a passion and excitement in the air because these people genuinely love what they do and what they are offering for sale.

In my dreams… If I lived in Santa Fe and had even a miniscule percentage of Oprah’s or Donald Trump’s wealth, Asian Adobe is where I would go to furnish the home of my dreams with gorgeous Asian antiques. Yet again, only in my dreams…
