Nice place with good food! Waiters and waitress are friendly. Quick service. Food comes almost right after you order it. Highly recommended.

This is the sort of pastry shop that you can get yourself in trouble at. Everything looks so good — and it is. It’s actually more than just a pastry shop since they do have a kitchen so you can get delicious cooked meals besides the pastries.

I am extremely impressed. This is the definition of a hidden gem. It is a small place but it has great quality and good customer service. Some more of the people behind the front counter also speak French; so if you really wanna test your french. Lol Parking is small… maybe 4 cars max that I saw… I think that if you are close by just walk. No biggie. I wasn’t able to eat there because I always went there when it was most busy. So I just got my food to go. Also all the desserts that I tried are amazing. You can’t go wrong with those delectable rose eclairs and those lovely macaroons. Just thinking about their pastries make me want to go back.

Best croissants in the US. That I’ve tried. Seriously though, if you come to Santa Fe and don’t visit Clafoutis, you’ve wasted your trip. There are so few paces that make food that brings me to tears… TEARS…because it’s so good. Oh! Their mini quiche Loraine. The family that runs the place is so loving and kind. Santa Fe wouldn’t be the same without this gem.

First, you will be greater by a great BONJOUR and a great smile, and from there it will only get better! Amazing bread, patisserie, sandwiches, quiches… 2 places to eat in Santa Fe: Clafoutis, and Café Pasquals… just beware, parking can be challenging.

Ok try to not park in the back if you can. It’s so rare to find a parking spot in the front, but pray to the parking Gods to be with you. And if that doesn’t work, there’s a place across the street that lets you park there and then walk across. Such a small parking lot that’s hard to maneuver, not to mention how many times someone blocks the entrance to it by not realizing that some people in Santa FE don’t drive small Subaru Outbacks. Go here on Saturdays and get the Eggs Benedict with Salmon soo freaking delicious. When I plan my vacations to SF, I always include a Saturday literally just so I can go to Clafoutis and get this dish(only avail. on Saturdays). My husband varies with his choices, last time he got the French plate which had salami on it and that in itself was worth the plate. The coffee is great too, very rich and full or spices, its def not a cheap brand from a grocery store or anything. It’s so French in there, makes me want to book a flight to Paris after leaving because I miss the vibe when breakfast ends. The girls that work behind the counter are so cute, I wish I could speak back to them in French but I’d rather not look like a fool. The waiters are all really busy all the time, not much table conversation between them but that’s chill with me because mornings are rough in general and that place is always packed. Worth the wait though I swear, that place is not going out of business anytime soon. Literally, if you’ve finally found this place, you’ve leved up in SF-tourism

We pulled into probably the smallest parking lot I’ve ever seen for such a packed house little French café! We did find a spot and put our name in. The staff was exceedingly friendly and we were greeted with Bonjour and a few other French phrases multiple times! It felt like we stepped into a café in France instead of a sleepy Santa Fe Saturday morning. We were seated quickly(rather elbow to elbow with other tables around us in true café style) and ordered ham and cheese crepes and the eggs benedict with a beignet and pain au chocolate to begin! The pastries were delicious! They apparently only do beignets on Saturday and it was amazing, little powdered sugar puffs of pastry. So good. Our breakfast entrees were great and I would say my ham and cheese crêpe is on par with any other I’ve eaten! This is the type of café you want to live nearer to so you can go often and try everything! We live out of town and hope to stop by again soon! Delicieux!

Wow, we were so lucky to find this gem for breakfast. Had an amazing omelet and couldn’t help but order a fruit tart for dessert! The coffee was great and service was top notch. Highly recommended!

Very French, very fresh, and one of our favorite meals during oue week in Santa Fe… a welcome change from the chili and pepper obsession. It’s a small, charming place locals go and chat! Great food! My companion had«The County», which was pâté, ham, cheese, mixed green salad, butter, baguette and desert of the day(chocolate brownie with toasted almonds) for $ 12.50. It was simple, delicious food, «the best picnic she had ever been on»! I had The Cuban sandwich, which was a toasted baguette with grilled ham and pork, Swiss cheese, mustard and lettuce for $ 7.50. It was filling and very tasty after hike. Soothing comfort food. The staff all you could hope for.

Love it, love, love!!! I had the fresh fruits crêpe as breakfast!!! Love it!!! The fruits were fresh! I had a fresh squeezed orange juice, a little bit sour, but small cup would be totally enough for me!!! Just love it! And took away a creamy puff, a coffee éclair and two chocolate truffle as deserts!!! They were so so so good!!!

Tres Bien. All the baked goods are made in house. They definitely taste as good as they look. Authentic French choices but BEWARE: American proportions! This a a very small venue & busy. I had the Brie, mixed vegetable baguette & frites. Just right. They have these French ‘boxes’ they come with great combos of protein, cheese, baguette, butter, dessert. The owners & kin work the floor & register. Definitely a good lunch spot, particularly if you want leftovers & probably an even better spot if you just want a great coffee drink and a delectable galette with great fruit choices. I had the fig, two thumbs up!

Bottom line: The food is good, but I don’t feel compelled to be a regular here, or even go back(?), since it’s pricey and inconvenient(often has a wait, tiny parking lot is a problem for those not living or lodging near the Plaza). The food is good enough, but, after giving this place two chances, I honestly don’t know what the fuss is about. This seems like it might be another case of stereotypical affluent Santa Feans of a certain age liking places much more than I do, probably in part because they’re enamored of the«Frenchness,» and time and money aren’t tight. FOOD I ordered the Salade Niçoise, and it was enormous and filling. There was a generous amount of tuna. Both the tuna and anchovies tasted like they were tinned in olive oil. This isn’t bad or unexpected, but, with respect to the fish, I prefer the salade Niçoise at Counter Culture. My coffee was fine. The pain au chocolat(really a chocolate croissant) was quite good, though a little dry at the edges(but this is most likely due to the fact that the NM air sucks moisture out of everything, and it was lunchtime, i.e. hours after the pastries had been baked. The baguette that I bought to eat with my stinky cheese from Cheesemongers was better than average, but more airy than I prefer, like the dough may have been stirred at too high a speed.

The best! I love this place and the family that runs it. We live about 2 blocks from the restaurant and love popping in for bread and pastries. You’ll be pretty happy with anything you order here: breakfast, lunch, pastries, etc. So delicious, fresh and reasonably prices for Santa Fe. This is one of the only places that I don’t feel like I’m laying tourist prices in my own town. Love being greeted by the blonde woman up front with the amazing earrings! Such a happy place.

Yes, it IS worth the wait! We parked a few blocks away and walked over. Not an issue since we were planning to consume more than our fair share of calories here. Cynthia was our server, and she was friendly and super efficient. I had the bacon cheese avocado omelette. My beau had the special – an open faced sandwich with asparagus, a thick slab of bacon immersed in a layer of gooey, warm cheese, and topped with an easy over egg. Before departing, we picked up a chocolate truffle – The absolute BEST I’ve ever had, as well as a strawberry tart(haven’t tried it yet) and a lemon cookie.

Oui, this place is fantastic. Small, quaint, French, comfortable and not in the middle of the Plaza. Still walkable from downtown. We did not have a car and got here just fine. This was a perfect, quasi romantic spot to have a leisurely brunch on a rainy day. You can tell by eating here that this is a favorite for the locals; I did not notice too many tourists, but plenty of repeat clients. The staff is tres friendly and accommodating, and for a Saturday lunch, only a few minute wait for a table. Be sure to place your order for any dessert offering prior to the end of your meal. Otherwise, you may be crying over the fact that the dozen or so chocolate croissants you saw when you entered the restaurant are no longer available. Le sigh. The sandwiches are filling — the salami was especially good. French onion soup could have been a bit warmer, but it was amazing nonetheless. Such a perfect little spot.

We were in Santa Fe for just 2 days, and after eating cafeteria food at the ski slopes for 2 days and Mexican food for 2 dinners, we were ready for a change. Thank you Unilocal for helping us discover this amazing, hidden gem! The restaurant isn’t very large, and parking is pretty limited also. Luckily, we got there somewhat early before it got really busy. The service was superb, and the workers there all spoke in their adorable French accents. I was very impressed with the menu in that they offered a large variety of foods, all for a very reasonable price. I decided on the caramelized peach crêpe with ice cream and whip cream on top and shared that with my friend who ordered the croque madame. Everything was absolutely delicious. The crepes were very large which is something I feel like a lot of restaurants tend to lack on. Also tried some of my friend’s nutella crêpe which you really can’t go wrong with. At the end of the meal, even though we were all stuffed, we all bought stuff at the bakery to take home. I got a lemon cake for my parents which we all loved. Great place to go in Santa Fe if you’re looking for a break from Mexican food!

I admit, I went home after getting breakfast here and googled what«clafoutis» meant. You should do so, just so you know what it means! We were welcomed into this tiny and unassuming café by all of the staff with a Bonjour and smiles on a busy Monday morning. My family was leaving to travel towards Taos during our road trip from CA. We decided on Clafoutis because of the grand Unilocal reviews… and were SOHAPPY we decided this place. We family-style’d their famous Monte Cristo, berries crêpe, clafoutis, and raspberry vanilla brioche. The clafoutis is a MUST. The dough is unlike anything I’ve ever had… custard-y but not wet or drippy, with a hint of dough-like bread consistency. MM it was amazing, and all of us devoured the food like rabid dogs. The coffees and food took a while to come out, with the brioche being the first one out for at least 5 minutes because it was plated from the entrance pastry display. But even though the food took a little long to come out, the servers were always on the move, smiling, and greeting the incoming customers standing there for 30+ minutes. We were lucky that when we walked in, the rush hadn’t started yet… so we waited for about 15 minutes only. The place is very small with limited parking, so it’s advisable to park nearby and walk over if you can’t parallel park or have a large car. There’s no wifi here, nor are there any other stores around the place that warrant a walk«around town» while you wait, so you’re subject to staring at the delicious pastry display while your stomach growls louder. In all, the ambiance was SO French and cute with the small café packing a larger punch than I thought it would. What was absolutely surprising to me was that Santa Fe, NEWMEXICO for crying out loud… has French food! New Mexico is full of surprises, I tell ya. The good kind.
