Asked for a burger with No lettuce add mustard and ketchup! Got this instead! Not very happy with my order one bit.

Ok, when anywhere in the state of NM you have got to stop at a Blakes. Any Blakes. The world’s best hamburgers and fries.

So good! Loved the green chili burger, although the bacon was not cooked to perfection sadly. The seasoned fries were great as well.

Tasted like a bowling alley burger… Which is a good thing. However, the attendants don’t pay attention to detail all that well because we asked for no tomato or onion… And what do they do? Give us onion and tomato.

Good burger and fries for the price. The seasoned fries were good and the onion rings weren’t bad. The service was very slow and disorganized and they forgot to include the Hatch Valley Green Chile with my order.

Again messed up my order. The cashier really don’t care, make like we are the problem that we said something. Getting tired of this. With this service, surprisingly they are still open.

I’ve watched an employee put a plastic bag of frozen chilli in boiling water. They also never fully cook the Hashbrowns they put in there burritos. Good way to get sick.

Best and cheapest gut bustin burrito in SF! I’ve never had problems with call in orders, except for when they’re busy and I have to call multiple times to get through. Their burgers are good too, but I mostly go for the breakfast burritos.

I’m preeeeetty certain the entire staff was on some kind of drug this evening(8⁄1). Which is totally okay with me, but I could tell the other customers were getting irritated. I tried to lighten the mood a bit by telling them«hey no worries, it’s all been pretty entertaining … just don’t leave for the bong all at once, rotate, puff puff give» These dudes were messing up everything, collectively and individually. I don’t know if it was Xanax Fridays! or something, but it was like a comedy show where people have all just met, have no training and are told to run a restaurant for an evening. It was pretty hilarious, 3 stars for that. And you get 2 stars because your breakfast burritos are kick anus. It just occurred to me I keep going to restaurants where I’m convinced everyone is baked. And I can assure my audience I’m completely lucid at these experiences. So they’re still legit.

Coming from the east coast, it can be hard to find a solid burger and fries for under $ 10. Blake’s fits the bill. A large single patty that doesn’t soggify the bun with grease before you finish it. I like the retro vibe of this location, even if it’s a bit seedy. If I want a gourmet burger I’ll go to Santa Fe bite, but for quick, cheap and yummy, Blake’s is awesome.

Terrible. 2 burgers and fries took over *40 minutes* after asking them twice to check on the order. The first guy said they were working on it, then went in the back and was laughing with the manager. Finally asking the woman taking orders if they’d forgotten us and she took the ticket back and started looking through piles of sacks waiting in back. Manager now looks irritated and starts hurriedly dropping more fries. We get one fresh burger and the other is rock hard and cold to the touch. 40 minutes for a cold burger = Worst fast food experience ever.

Blake’s is a must-stop if you are in New Mexico. It reminds me of In-and-out Burger in that you need to be in the know here to order. And what you need to know is green chile lotaburger with cheese and bacon. You can choose between seasoned or unseasoned fries, both are crispy, tasty goodness. So freakin’ good, and always consistent. There isn’t a bad experience at Blake’s. Just go. Now. Treat yo’ self!

Burt’s — what can I say — good Burger Lousy attitude and the service took way too long and very poor. Waited for ever for my burger.

This is New Mexico’s Whataburger, InNout, etc. I know the food isn’t top quality, but I’m just biased. The green chile burgers, chicken strips, and milkshakes are where it’s at. Cheap and filling breakfast burritos too. If you live here, you eat here.

I like the food here. The problem is with the service at this location. Forget calling in an order, because they never answer the phone. Walk up service is terrible too. Last weekend I went to pick up a breakfast burrito and stood at the window for five minutes in plain view of the staff, who saw me and were apparently too busy to even acknowledge my presence, despite the fact that one of them was standing there drinking coffee. Thankfully, this is not reflective of other Blake’s locations. I will not be heading back to this one again, though. Edit: I have been back to this location since this review, although I had sworn it off. It’s just too convenient, even though the same issues exist.

Honestly — I think their breakfast is far better than their burgers. We had breakfast burritos there twice during our visit and they were fresh and made to order. When we came back for lunch we were far less impressed. Mediocre fries, the buns were soggy and the burgers nothing too exciting. I’d give them a 4 for breakfast and a 2.5 for lunch which averages around a 3.

What the hell? This was fantastic! We never eat ‘fast-food’, but I really wanted to try this southwestern chain because of the kitschy signs everywhere in NM. We had one green chile lotaburger each and were totally full. It is delicious. Surprisingly, the tomato and lettuce(and veggies in general) were really fresh! It is probably the spiciest green chile I’ve had, because I don’t think Blake’s would ever tone it down for any damned tourist– locals eat here! The meat tasted damn good and the bread was soft, slightly sweet(in a yum way), and fresh. We felt totally sick the next day after eating this, probably because it is bad quality meat and we aren’t used to eating a lot of meat. It should probably be fine for most folks though who don’t eat almost all organic, pseudo-vegetarian food, which is, almost everyone else in the US. They have some sort of special sauce that I’m sure they put crack in. If I could eat lots of meat, I would definitely be obese from eating here.
