Food looked so good but tasted blah. Cashier was trying to rip me off on change. Will not be back.

This review is for the food, and the food for any Sbarro location in general. Depending on what time you get there, the food can be really cold. They do put the slice into the oven to warm it up, but have you noticed that it’s charcoal black when they open it? The pizza slices have almost no sauce on them, and they’re really thin. Now, here is the main thing that will shock you. I have done research on the internet, and different sources say the the amount of calories in a single slice of cheese pizza from Sbarro has a minimum of 460 calories, but two other sources say that there are as high as 660 calories, FOR A SINGLESLICEOFCHEESEPIZZA!!! Giving them the benefit of the doubt, and estimating the calories by combining the different sources, it’s still 500CALORIES, for one slice of pizza. If the pizza was flavorful, I would understand. But the pizzas are thin, and almost sauceless! In general, this place is not worth going to because of the rip off in flavor, and calories. Not the location.

Love the meatballs on their spaghetti. Not so pleased with the service staff.

The customer service was really great, but unfortunately my garlic bread was burnt to a crisp.

We ordered some pizza for lunches at the mall. The taste was in line with the price we had to pay, so there was no complaint at all. Though mildly in flavor, I thought the pizza was pretty crunchy and we enjoyed that part of the pizza most.

The quality has gone down a lot! The thin crust was no longer thin and chewy. The bread seemed similar to pizza hut. The«tomato sauce» really wasn’t a sauce. It was more of a sparse red liquid rolling off the pizza. What a waste of 4 bucks.

Decent food but very poor customer service. I’ve been to this location(in Valley Fair Mall) twice this month and I’ve had poor customer service both times. The first time I asked for a glass of water with my order. The checkout cashier told me that no water was available but that she’d sell me bottled water instead. The next time, 3 weeks later, I was told that the fountain drinks worked(I bought one) but that the water dispenser was broken. It’s obvious that they’re not interested in providing water unlike all other food court vendors. The second problem I had this time is that they didn’t bring up the fact that there was no bread with the spaghetti I’d ordered until I asked. I was then told that the bread was baking and to come back in 20m. Right — with a couple of small kids, I don’t have time to come back, then sit down to dinner again.

spaghetti & meatballs with their garlic bread. I’m set!!! I’ve been to other Sbarro locations before and this is by far one of the cleanest ones!

They’re A-OK. Friendly and warm folks working the line. Food is always hot and food court decent. No fault of any of the food court vendors, but the dining area can be very loud in the mall’s food court. Suggest, if the weather is nice, to sit out on the patio and enjoy less noise and crowding.

The food is actually very good when u need something quick and yum at the mall to recharge or to quiet some loud, hungry kids(this was me when i was younger, and I grew up on Sbarro). MYFAVES: –Baked Ziti with extra sauce: pasta and cheese are not overwhelming and are so good with the rich marinara sauce. Try to get the cheese baked layer on top. — Pepperoni pizza(thin crust) I hope Sbarro does not go out of business! It’s good, cheap, reliable mall food!

I used to love the spaghetti and meatball from Sbarro when I was back at collage, but the meatball seemed to taste different these days. It was less bouncy and seems they used more lean meat, good for health but not so good with the taste. The vegetable side dish was good and the spaghetti with sauce was descent. The service was very polite and patient, which I appreciated. The order was a bit confusing though, even though I just wanted a spaghteti and meatball, I was asked into a combo with veggie side, fountain drink and breadstick, which was too much for a one gal lunch.

Cheats you on salads!!! Beware any of you upgrading your small salad to a large– the bowl holds the same amount of lettuce as before. What’s on the larger bowl is a 2 inch flat rim on it to make it look like a dinner dish. Tip to owner: A Large salad should be a meal by itself.

You know the food here was actually quite delicious for 8:30PM at night. I had the baked ziti + meatballs and garlic bread along with an order of roasted potatoes. Everything was pretty on point. The garlic bread was a tiny bit too crunchy but whatever. They also give you 1 refill on your drinks which a lot of mall places don’t do anymore. The staff here was polite, friendly and social and this all cost me about $ 13 and I ate for 2.

We wanted to go for Thai but for late and could go out of the mall early and decided to go for the food court. Preparation is good. You can see the item in thr counter and choose — is the best think I like about this place. Chicken Vesuvio — [Quite good.] Freshly egg-battered chicken breast, sautéed with Sbarro-seasoned mushrooms and served in a mushroom sauce. Spinach & Broccoli — [Was okay, some spinach fiber was tough to chew] Our special stuffed pizza made of two crisp crusts that are overstuffed with seasoned spinach and broccoli, ricotta, mozzarella and Romano cheeses.

Don’t be fooled by appearance — the food here is COLD, tasteless, and almost unedible. It’s like paying for half-defrosted frozen food you find in safeway. So glad the Sbarro in Hillsdale mall is closed. Hope the next one to go down is this one. This recession should wipe out crap eatery like this one. RUBBISH

Was craving A Slice of New York for lunch but came here for the convenience since I was shopping at VF. I was going to get a slice of pizza but tried a calzone instead. Shoulda stuck with my first decision and gotten the pizza. The first few bites of the calzone were good but as I started to eat a lil more, I started getting that icky feeling in my stomach that I normally get when eating something really fatty so I decided to stop eating that and move onto my tomato & cucumber salad(I got the lunch special for $ 7 something). The salad looked very fresh and tasty from the display but ended up not being as tasty as I thought it would be. I love vinegar but it had way too much of it going on and the tomatoes didn’t seem fresh. The service was good, but next time I’m shopping and craving pizza I’ll go to A Slice of New York or Pizza My Heart.

For a chain as well as mall food… this place has some delicious pizza. The calzones are off the charts as well(extremely oily however). If you don’t want to be disappointed I would say just get a couple slices of pepperoni pizza and call it a day. It won’t disappoint.

If you like pizza dough that tastes like clay, then this would be your spot to go. My boyfriend seems to have a soft spot for this type of pizza… but it’s not my cup of tea.

It’s mall pizza. Stick with the not-too-bad thin crust pizza, instead of the nearly flavorless entrees.
