Good food, not great. Just average chain Italian food. But if one was near me I’d be in trouble because everything seems so fattening on the menu. The service was great however and I had the BEST Cosmo in the bar so that’s a plus.

The food was bland and lacking the good old italian flare. Olive garden is better.

Who goes to eat at 4:00PM on a Saturday? Anyway, I went there with my family(total 5 people) at 4:00PM hoping to get a table. The restaurant was open and completely empty but they refused to give us a table saying that the people with reservations will start arriving soon. We would have to wait till 7:30PM to get a table. Really? We came out and then called their number for reservation and were told that the earliest available would be at 10:00PM. I have been to this place before(without reservations and about 15 – 20 minutes wait on weekend) and the food is average. Anyway, we walked down the street since there is no shortage of options at Santana Row.

The smaller portion of my entrée was filling and perfect portion size for lunch. Hubby’s was a perfect sized portion as well. Both dishes were seasoned perfectly. Our food server brought us fried zucchini with lemon aioli as a treat since we didn’t order apps, great move cuz it was tasty. He also gave us a nice dish of truffles for dessert since we were too stuffed.

I want to start off with saying we had the best service EVER By NATE. Maggianos is a place where we love to go for special occasions and tonight we celebrated my wife Anna’s birthday and I must say the family really enjoyed themselves this time especially because the staff and especially our server Nate went above and beyond any expectations when visiting a restaurant. This locations rather busy being in Santana Row and a lot of locals like to eat here. The wait can be quite long but for a Wednesday it was not that bad. We waited about 10 minute s and our server was with us pouring water and bread and all the starters in less than a minute after introducing himself . We ordered the family meal with Chicken Parmesan, Baked Ziti, Mama’s Lasagna and Chicken Marsala’s with Salad and yes you guess it Stuffed Mushrooms that are to die for. Everything was prompted and cooked to perfection. Multiple servers helping Nate out and we’ll, we just felt so welcomed and the hospitality was really flowing tonight with service. We all enjoyed ourselves and right now we are quite stuffed but with satisfaction. Thank you Maggianos and Nate /staff for knocking it out of the park and doing what you do. Bringing great Italian food and families together. Jack Fast Garage Door Repair Company

I remember coming here often ever since I was little. The atmosphere is elegant and lively, and the service has always been great. I love sitting at their booths. My parents and I were(and STILL) in love with their stuffed mushrooms appetizer and the pasta for 2 deal! My personal favorite is their spaghetti with meat sauce– it’s a classic and not too heavy like some of their other pastas. My second favorite is probably the lasagna.
Don’t expect to get a table without a long wait if you didn’t make a reservation. MAKE A RESERVATIONIFYOUWANTTODINEHERE! I’ve never had a successful experience just walking in spontaneously without making reservations.

Go here several times a year. This most recent visit was ok. The waiter wasn’t that attentive and service was a bit slow, as we ended up spending 2 – 3 hours there. The shrimp scampi, rigatoni D, chopped salad, and steamed mussels were good. The chicken in the rigatoni D can be a bit dry at times but still tastes good. We tried the balsamic salmon, and that was good too. However, I’d stay away from the chicken entrees as all the ones I’ve had have been a bit dry and dense. The desserts were great. Tried terimisu and spumoni. The terimisu is light and neither of the desserts are overly sweet. The spumoni has cherries in it(not sure if that’s what others are used to).

this Italian restaurant seems like the head honcho of all the rest of the pack at Santana Row. it’s the place with the most bang for the buck so it attracts a huge crowd, families n friends alike. Maggiano’s is the place u go to if u have a large group, if there’s a birthday to celebrate, or if u have a HUGE appetite n is craving Italian like crazy! I haven’t been here in at least a year so we decided to go there for dinner with our friend. we made sure to make our reservations a week earlier. if u walk in with no reservations, the only tables u probably could get r the small ones in the front room by the bar area.(definitely not for groups.) we were ushered in after waiting for around 10 minutes. after looking over the menu we decided to go for the à la carte menu instead of the family style menu most groups would get.(we were still kinda full from our HUGE brunch from earlier.) in total we ordered 5 items n we were stuffed n satisfied. yay for carbs! the service was kinda slow in the beginning. I could tell our waitress was busy as a bee with her other tables. we waited for our calamari appetizer for over 30 minutes n was getting irritated. as we were going to flag down our waitress, the manager(I think she was.) came over n told us they were going to compt our calamari n that it was their fault it took so long. nice! good save Maggiano’s! the rest of our dinner was smooth sailing; all the way to our Tiramisu! Maggiano’s is considered prime real estate at the popular Santana Row. it’s located by the lawn area off of Olin St. it’s closer to park at the garage on Olin, but we always prefer to park at the bigger garage off of Winchester Blvd. it has 6 floors so we can always find a space in under 5 minutes.(we r efficient peeps. we don’t waste 1 minute. :)) Calamari Fritte: Italian restaurants r always do calamari the best. breaded n fried perfectly. was finished in a flash! Linguine Di Mare: can’t go wrong with this dish if u love clams n mussels. Chicken Marsala: 3 pieces of chicken breast layered with mushrooms. delicious! loved the sauce. Salmon Oscar: our friend wasn’t too impressed with this cuz she’s not into very creamy n cheesy sauces. I liked it cuz it has a bunch of crab meat on top n it included asparagus n spinach also. Tiramisu: I always order this here. their tiramisu is the best! full of rum n coffee flavor. the marscarpone is so yummy! I wish we had leftovers to take home, but we didn’t leave a crumb. :)

My younger sister and I have been stopping by Maggiano’s quite a bit lately because we really like their desserts. However, on our last visit, we were less than impressed with the service. We had to wait a long while for our waitress to come by and give us our menus, waited for her to take our orders and waited for her to bring us our drinks. She’s a very friendly girl, but just not very productive. She spends a lot of time talking to her customers rather than being a waitress. We decided to go with the Marco’s meal for two since we were both in the mood for pasta and it’s a really good deal at $ 39.95. You get an appetizer which we decided to go with the steamed mussels, which was excellent. The two pastas we decided on were lasagna and spaghetti & meatball. Both dishes were good, but my first order of spaghetti showed up with hair in it so I was waiting for our waitress to come by to bring it to her attention. When she finally showed up, she said that she would have it remade, but she ended up going over to the table next to us and talked with them for a good 5 – 7 minutes, which is a long time when you’re waiting for someone to take your food into the kitchen and have it remade, especially when you’re hungry! My sister’s lasagna was getting cold waiting for my food to return so I told her to go ahead and eat. At this point, I was trying to get our waitress’s attention to ask her why doesn’t she take my order to the kitchen first and she can come back to talk to her customers after that. However, the old couple she was talking to decided to be rude and give me an attitude thinking that I was staring at them when I was trying to get the waitress’s attention. The old couple decided to get confrontational and give me an attitude so I did what any normal person would do, I asked the lady, «I’m sorry, but how old are you and why are you trying to pick a fight with a person who is half your age?» Which pretty much pissed her off & made her shut up, which caused her husband to get slightly embarrassed so he decided to come to her rescue. By the time my food came back, I was no longer in the mood to eat because it took forever and the old couple next to us had already made me lose my appetite. I don’t know if I’ll be coming back because this incident has really left a bitter taste for my sister and I. What was meant to be a nice meal turned out to be a terrible experience just because a waitress didn’t know how to do her job correctly!

Usually the best food and greatest service. Not tonight. Place was a joke got our appitizer almost 1:15 after we ordered. Sat down at 3:15 and rushed to leave at desert 3 ½ hours later. Waitress was a joke even said the kitchen was a shit show in her own words as they where 1 ½ behind according to her. Bad thing is out of our party of 13 only we will be back.

Service 5⁄5 Food 3⁄5 Water 5⁄5 The service here is the best that I’ve ever seen. Our waiter would come to our table always topping off our drinks and asking if we needed anything. The food was OK. I honestly expected more out of this place since I’ve heard so many good things from so many people. Idk about you but the water at restaurants is a big thing for me. If the water doesn’t taste good it’s a turn off. The water here was good. No funky after taste just how water is suppose to be. H20 baby

Ok this place is a solid 3. Every time I’ve made reservations I’ve always had to wait to be seated. You would think with reservations your table would be ready upon arrival but nope. Besides that the food is just ok. This place gets busy because of it’s location in Santana Row. My fiancé and I still go here only because of it’s sentimental value since this is where we had our first date.

********************** 1465 ********************* My family like to come here because of the gigantic portion and you always have extra pasta to take home for lunch. Their dinner pasta for 2 is a BARGAIN here with 2 extra pasta to take home. My dad loves the Tiramisu here and the meatballs. My mom loves the calamari and the cocktail. The hostess was nice to us and Trent our server, he was great as usual. It’s such a great place for family with children.

2.5 starts. It’s a very nice looking /decorated restaurant located in Santana Row. Perfect service. Now the food. We(me and my coworker) had the Rigatoni D” pasta and baked eggplant spaghetti. There was something battered in the eggplant, making the dish too heavy, even though the tomato sauce was nice. The rigattoni were really on the heavy side as well, too rich, drenched in buttery/creamy sauce. If you get the lunch deal buy one get one free + 10% off, it’s a good deal. Otherwise, it’s definitely not a «fine» food restaurant. It’s more on the heavy, industrial like dishes. Do not expect to eat a real home-dame traditional Italian dish here! Large portions, great deals for lunch.

I came on a Tuesday around 2PM and ordered the dinner for two thing, and it’s a really good deal! Appetizer, 2 pastas there, dessert, and 2 pastas to take home for $ 41. After reading the other reviews, I noticed some people saying the food wasn’t great, but maybe because they went during peak times? I don’t know what it is, but the server was amazing(front desk is kinda eh), and the meal was life changing, the portions are huge and the dinner for two was a really good deal. We had the stuffed mushrooms, lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo, and the warm brownie. Everything was perfect.

As of 10.2015 Quintessential chain restaurant food that’s to be expected in a higher end shopping center/strip mall. This one focuses on Italian food… *Always greated with a smile and friendly service. *Server was great, brought a refill in advance. *Bread was okay, was super hungry so ended up getting a second basket. The second was noticeably warmer than the first. Tip: May consider letteing server know you’ll wait for warm bread. Unless you are starving like I was. Oil was fine, they ask and pour the balsamic… cost control perhaps. *New item on menu — Bacon Carbonara. An item inspired by one of there chefs from a different location. Have I had better, yes but the restaurant was in a different category/league so have to be fair. Did this taste okay, good, fine, hit the spot?!? — Yep it sure did. I had an idea what I was going to expect and it was it. Nothing bad about it. **Actually it qualified as a take home pasta item too, wooohooo… so think about who you want to bring some calories home to. ***Dessert — The bread was dessert. No way possible I could an actual dessert, the calories! Taking everything into consideration it’s a solid 3, 3.5. Accidently edited prior review before this Update. So they are the same — oops.

As soon as you walk in the restaurant, your first impression is. FANCY!!! There’s outdoor seating to enjoy the nice weather. There’s plenty of seating as well if you prefer to sit by the bar close to the entrance. Then, the next room at the back are all the dining seating. We were greeted and seated right away. Servers brought us bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We were asked if we wanted water. Then, they brought 3 small plates for the bread. I have to say it was a bad first impression bc the plates were completely dirty and there were still pasta sauce on the plate that dried out. I mean come on!!! So I informed them about the plates and they apologize. Since this was my first time here, I was expecting the service and the food to be top notch! Our waiter was super nice and introduce us to their menu. He was accompanied by another waiter who was training. She was also nice and made sure we had everything. I ordered the chef special which is a pesto pasta with meatballs and you get a FREE on the house pasta of your choice to take home(Alfredo fettuccine). The boyfriend ordered the chicken Parmesan which comes with 2 chicken and a pasta. Afterwards we ordered a desert and we were contemplating if we should order the tiramisu or vanilla bean profitelores. We decided to go with Nonna’s toasted pound cake. It was delicious! The service is a bit slow because it took a while for them to bring out the food, desert and even took a while for them to pick up the check. Overall, we were happy with the outcome!

I despise restaurant chains and Little Maggiano’s is no exception. On a Saturday evening, my friends and I planned to dine here. When we reached at 5.30 without reservations, there was a 45 wait time. However, the seating by the bar is on a first come, first serve basis. It took a good 45 min because the rest of the crowd joined, so we got seated in the main dining area. We were served complementary bread and olive oil/vinegar. I liked that the bread was warm and spongy and I can’t complain about the olive oil and vinegar because I love it. After perusing the menu, I was dumbfounded at the calorie values of these dishes. Nothing was less than a 1000 calories. However the good things is, they also carry a lighter version of most of the main dishes. My choice was a Shrimp Fra Diavolo. The food took forever to arrive at our table. And they didn’t even come all at once. My pasta almost dried out before my friends’ dishes were served. The meal looked appetizing and the portions were just right. However the prices were pretty steep for such a small portion size and for something that one can normally prepare at home. There’s nothing unique or extraordinary about these dishes. The dish was okay at best. Neither too good nor too bad. Not that I expected a lot either. I loved the ambiance and the location. Service and food are pretty mediocre. Considering there are so many good restaurants around, this is certainly not a top choice.

8÷30÷15. Lunch We popped in here for lunch after Winchester. They were very busy with several large groups/birthday parties in progress. It’s a Cheesecake Factory dishing out Americanized Italian food alright. Tables have red checker table cloth, nice touch. It took forever to get anything, even water, which is not our server’s fault. He’s very professional, cheerful, and knowledgeable of the menu. He was slammed, held up by the larger parties and their constant demands. One of us had a salad before the main courses. And our drinks did not arrive until after the salad was served. I guess the bartender was slammed as well. The tastiness of the drinks redeemed the slowness by which they were served. The Dark ‘n Stormy and Mulo Romano(a twist of Moscow Mule with blood orange juice instead) were very good. Penne with Meat Sauce($ 14.95) is what it’s supposed to be, but huge portion, plus they give you another order to take home for free. Chicken Piccata($ 17.95) stands out in the meal. The chicken is very tender, without that frozen hardness and the sauce is light and lemony. Shrimp Fra Diavolo($ 18.95) is hand-cut fettuccine with pan-seared shrimps in a light(I opted for the«lighter take» for half the calories off) creamy red sauce. I like the slight zesty kick to it but I wish they are easier on the sauce. Shrimps are good. A lot of food and no room for dessert. They do have a huge family style menu that you can choose from a variety of starters, salads, and main courses. It’s a very busy family style restaurant and the service can be slow. I like it better than Buco Di Beppo – the food is fancier and the décor more upscale. But it’s too way too Busy and noisy for my preference.

My ex coworker and I decided to come here to catch up for dinner after work. It has been many years since I came here and I had a good experience last time. When we arrived to get seated, the two women in the front were chit chatting while we were standing there. I kind of find that unprofessional since I knew they did noticed us and still kept talking. Oh well, we finally got our seats and getting ready to order. Our waitress was very nice though and recommended some new dishes that just came out recently. I ordered the chicken rusty and shrimp forlorn(sorry for the misspelling). The food wasn’t too bad. I did not enjoy much as I hoped for, but it
