I am from Madurai and the food tastes exactly like Madurai street porota shops. I was truly surprised by the quality and taste of the porotas. Its especially surprising since things like porota and south indian filter coffee needs a steady flow of many customers throughout the day to be effectively executed. Which is why you can never get true south indian filer coffee anywhere but veg«____Bhavan» restaurants in Tamil Nadu. This pace should be more popular than it is. The only problem is that the ambience is bad. It does not look like a place to go with friends/family for a nice time. Though the food is totally worth it. There is another newer restaurant called«India Street Café», but that totally misses the mark. This is what that restaurant should have been. Places like paradise and peacock are mere shades of real Indian local food. This is the real deal. I would totally recommend this place. Just be ready for some spice. And a poor to mediocre ambience. Just like India.

Tasty authentic food. Service is also pleasing. Parotta is very soft. Would recommend.

We use to love this place when they were in other location. After 1.5yr they opened finally. Food quality has gone down. Meat was old and stale. We got tandoori chicken leg, chicken curry and chicken biryani. Quality of rice was below par. Place smells and stings. Ambience was below average. It is part of grocery now. I am just hoping we don’t get food poison. Will never come back.

Authentic Tamil taste. Love the parotas and the Salna. Chicken gravy, mutton gravy are yum. Proper spice level. Felt @ home! But yeah no restrooms, bright harsh lighting are the minus.

The worst food you will ever get. The masalas used are old and stale and smell musty. Ordered the chicken chettinad and got dark stale gravy with stale chicken. Overpriced and bad food. Don’t know why this place has any good reviews. Spent $ 45 for 2 people and a kid and went away totally dissatisfied and pissed. Eat here and regret it.

Same old Biriyani! Same great taste. Opened today. Try chicken 65 and chicken briyani. Feels like India and Madurai.

I usually order egg biryani here. They used to be in restaurant with proper sitting and all… better services. Now they moved to one of the grocery store corners. Service is very slow, prices are same. My only concern is about service. hence giving 3 else would have 5.

The chicken Szechuan spicy fried rice is to kill for!!! YUMMY!!! Egg kothu parota is another MUST try! Although it both are only for ppl who can handle spicy food.
