Uptown Bar & Lounge

This is one of my favorite bars in Santa Barbara. Lots of TV for all sports and good bartenders

My husband and I sat at the bar all night and the service was amazing. I ordered the pepperoni pizza and it was delicious. I’m from LA and the bartenders out here make the drinks with so much mixer that there’s barely any alcohol, but the bartender that helped us out at this bar did such an amazing job on all of the drinks!!! Will be back whenever we’re in town

I was in town visiting my brother and he was all like «we have to go to trivia night at this bar! «so I was like, ok. Anyway. the vibe was nice here and the staff are attentive and really nice. The trivia happens every Monday and you pay $ 5. The emcee, Tim, was nice and asked me about my travels to SB, which I thought was pretty cool… definitely much more nice then some emcees in Chicago have treated my brother in the past, but I digress. lol. Great establishment and I recommend you all go on Mondays but prepare to lose trivia to someone else like Phil or the Porno Movie club.

This is a combo bar with pool tables and bar food. it has great television setup to watch sports, no bad seats here. Two pool tables. Small food service area with interesting pizza, sandwich and salad offerings. I had a hotdog, not your usual dog, had a spicy bite and texture of a turkey dog. It was pretty black on the inside but luke warm inside so mixed bag. My husband had a pulled pork, said it was good, but also quite spicy (we don’t usually eat spicy food but I think people who do will like this). Has a nice outdoor seating area with televisions but smoking is allowed and it was definitely smokey. This is a casual bar, not well staffed but good for sports fans who want to hang.

we went for drinks around 6pm with a couple friends. great atmosphere but terrible service at Uptown. the waitress came around to the table every 30 minutes but was not polite nor did she ever ask if we needed another drink. we had to go inside to the bar and ask for more drinks if we needed them before the waitress delivered the drinkS back at our seat, only to give us a dirty look and eye roll. then the BOUNCER came to clear our table without asking if we were done with our drinks or food. the waitress didn’t have any respect to clear the table herself SHE HAD TO ASK THE BOUNCER HERSELF TO CLEAR OUR TABLE AT 9PM!!! who is trying to hurry WELL PAYING customers out the door???
WILL NOT GO PACK, RUDE, AND UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE!

Bartenders and bouncer are nice. Fun environment and great vibe inside. Some games available for guests. Space in back as well to get fresh air

I’m here every Monday for Trivia. It took them awhile to be consistent with food and service, but they seem to have figure it out. I recommend getting the wings! They have different flavored and they’re all very tasty.

I’ve had good experiences here in the past so it gets 3 stars. Food is good and drinks are quick. This time it took 10 minutes to close our tab with one bartender scrambling to work the bar solo while the other bartender in the 49ers Jersey talked on his cell phone out front. I suppose his personal calls were more important than doing his job.

You guys nailed it! This place is so fun… so much to do… gorgeous interior and back patio… love the giant jinga! Your new menu is absolutely scrumptious!!! WOW! The wings well done… all I can say is I crave those things now!!! Drinks all on point! Great service! What is there not to love about you guys?! Keep up all the great work!!!

Uptown is a GREAT space! Good bar, nicely done with a great patio. Not just a bar either, they have food which is a huge plus! There are a lot of TVs so in a town where watching multiple sporting events at once limits your choices to only a few places Uptown fits the bill.
The staff is great! At least what there is of it. More often than not they have a single bartender and one person running around delivering food. I have been there on several occasions when that was just not sufficient. Might work on a sleepy Tuesday but not during a Dodgers Playoff game or a World Series.
The food is good but a little expensive for what it is.

The name throws you off a bit. This place is really a nice Sports Bar too with tons of TVs everywhere. On a warm day the doors and windows are open letting in the breeze which makes it nice to sit and watch game. The food was good and the bar maid was Hot. wink wink

Sometimes some of my friends drag me to this place or that to watch sporting events. Now it is football season-​yipee! Some of my friends seem to love the Uptown lounge (geographically desirable for a couple of them) so we went there.
Last night was Sunday Night Football and the place was 60% full. One Bartender and no table service whatsoever. So of course it took a while to get a beer or to order food. Being a warm summer day the place wasn’t hot, it was «Freakin’ hot». Aren’t on the beach, you aren’t on the Mesa so perhaps an Air conditioner might be a good investment!
That said there was free popcorn and the food was decent for being bar food. I’m sure on a cooler day with one or two extra employees the place would be just fine.
Oh, and I am not slamming the place for the most obnoxious Packers fan this side of the Mississippi. Yes Mr. Aaron Rodgers jersey… I am talking about you!!! You are hardly the responsibility of the Uptown lounge! But why didn’t pretty little Miss Aaron Rodgers jersey next to you point out that you were being an ass?

Service is not that great! However they have a beautiful patio and 2 pool tables. This is a great place to watch sports, they have screens in every corner and their pizza are amazing for a bar type food.

Hands down my favorite spot to catch a game! They have tons of TVs and will put on any game you want.
Lance is the man! He cooks the best food and actually cares about what you think about it. He hand delivers the food and gets your feedback on it. He’s just a genuine dude who loves what he’s doing! Safe to say he’s the reason for the 5 star rating and why I keep coming back!
