The service is slow, and messed up. SO SLOW. They messed up our orders, no water for 30 minutes, we have been here for over an hour and have yet to get what we ordered 40 minutes ago. The food is cheap and greasy. Mine might have been served on a dirty plate…

Sharkeez, better known to most locals as THE TANK (Shark tank) has been one of my main go to spots for years now. They have an unbeatable happy hour, perfect for all us in debt college students. i mean buy one get one for a quarter. YES PLEASE! not to mention the super friendly staff! there has yet tohave been one time where I’ve gone in and Blake hasnt had the most contagious smile on his face. Better yet Nicholas the bartender even on the most busiest of days will give anyone who walks in the best service, attention, not to mention a GREAT drink. Sarah J. I must say is always the life of the party, making sure everyone is having the best time possible, yet staying absolutely professional, And Brittney J’s outgoing, bubbly attitude will always brighten up your day! but besides the AMAZING welcoming staff, and great affordable drinks, the food is delicious and also well priced, and the night scene is always poppin. Definitely a great place to start, or even end a night out in SB.

Hate giving bad reviews but we were here for happy hour and our waitress never once mentioned that the drinks we were getting we’re not on the happy hour special and when I ordered a mojito after our initial order it took over 20 mins for it to come. I tried to cancel it but it was too late because she never came in that entire 20 minute period

I had excellent margaritas here! Shout out Nelson and Sharkeez for not only excellent customer service, but a great drink to enjoy the cavs vs. warriors game!

Loved our time here. Nicole was our waitress and she always had a beautiful smile. We felt so comfortable and at home. We had breakfast and mom on Saturday and Sunday. They also have a fresh salsa and fresh made hot tortilla chips too. The food and mimosas delicious! Definitely will be back!!! Thanks Nicole!

Went there for lunch, and we were there for almost two hours. They must have been understaffed or something, because I never saw our waitress. She was friendly, but not attentive and our wait time was atrocious. We even kept waving our hands to flag her down for our bill but just kept walking by. I work in customer service is well so I understand situations come up, but the service was just not great for my first time coming here.

Baja Sharkeez is a great sports bar, and possibly the best buffalo wings in Santa Barbara. This is a place for the younger crowd and the drinks are so-​so, but there are a lot of TVs.

Came for happy hour! Drinks are made very well! our server Was awesome and always made sure we were taken care of. Make sure to take a pic in the photo booth! If you stop by make sure to ask for Blake he treated us super well and was super attentive!

Stopped in here the other night to grab a quick drink… That turned into a 4 hour visit. Great music, great drinks and excellent service. I even enjoyed some dinner. The ambiance was awesome too. Somebody said it was recently remodeled and its pretty cool. I’ll definitely be back when I visit SB again.

Defiantly my favorite place in town to eat and have some drinks. Lots of tvs if you like to watch sports.

Chips good. Drinks not worth it. A ton of ice and hardly any alcohol. All our friends also said their drinks tasted like watered down beverages.
Waiters weren’t super friendly or patient. Probably due to manager on floor? Heard one of the guys working there (presumably the manager) telling the host to get it together and make sure she was on top of the limited tables (it was raining so outside seating was nonexistent), she seemed so embarrassed. /​: Totally unprofessional and rude. Also, entire party must be with you, otherwise you won’t be seated.

LOVE just about everything about Baja Sharkeez! I’ve been going for Honky Tonk Tuesdays since it started earlier this year and it is the highlight of my week. Sarah J. does a great job promoting country nights and making sure everyone is having a blast. They offer extended happy hour specials when you reserve a table in advance, and their food is really good! Plus, of course, this is now the ONLY place in SB that you can go for LINE DANCING every week!
My only complaint is that one of the bartenders is not the most attentive and will leave people hanging for 10 – 15 minutes before even acknowledging their presence. Fortunately, most of the time I just go to Frank who is the BEST and makes great drinks. He’s always watching out for the whole bar to make sure people are served in a timely and fair order.

Went with a group of friends to sharkeez for some appetizers and a few beers. We were seated and greeted immediately, our waitress, Amanda, was excellent, 5 stars for her, she came right over and took our orders with a big smile, it was nice to have a pleasant waitress, we can’t say enough about her! I’ve been to quite a few bars on state street and most waitress seem a little bothered that they have to take orders and actually do something! Amanda was a breath of fresh air, she was kind and courteous, she was prompt with refilling our drinks and making sure we were taken care of. The food here at sharkeez isn’t bad but we all will definitely return because of our waitress Amanda, to bad all the pubs and restaurants on state street couldn’t have waitresses like Amanda! Rock on Amanda!

Huge burritos! Omg I was so full that even after a 30 minute walk, I was still stuffed to the max!
I ordered the tri-​tip burrito. Not sure exactly what the name is, but it was PACKED with tri-​tip. You can pay a dollar or two more to make the burrito a wet one and there’s a few different choices you can pick. I went with the classic red sauce, but I know one other one is a cheese sauce.
The service is awesome, and you get to see all the foot traffic of downtown Santa Barbara if you sit outside.

I’m giving them 2 stars for the ambiance. It was a really fun place inside, and the way the drinks were garnished was really fun.
But we got 2 drinks, both of which tasted as though there was NO alcohol in them. Then someone bought a drink for us, which also tasted just like juice! Drinks definitely not worth the money. they are just juice.

Service was fantastic, our drinks were great and we had a good time, what more could you want?
I can’t vouch for the food, but all the drinks we tried I really enjoyed.
Plenty of indoor seating, clean, descent music, fun stop while staying in Santa Barbara for the weekend!

Great place! Wandered in on a Saturday afternoon when it was nearly empty except for the bar. All we had was a beer but the girl behind the bar made this a pleasant stop for a beer. She was super friendly and attentive even though some douche bag guys were hitting on her. She’s from Redondo Beach and so we knew she’d be a cool chick.
Nothing much I can say about this place since we didn’t come here to eat or shake our booty under their extensive nightclub lighting system. Maybe next time we are in town.
Oops, had to edit the review and deduct a star for serving our beer in thin plastic… I get it, people get drunk and break glasses but save it for the young neanderthals on Saturday night. It’s noon and I would have wanted my beer served ice cold in a glass, like someone my age would have it.

The chips and SALSA, oh the chips and salsa. One of the best salsa I’ve ever tasted and I almost got full on this alone before the food came out. Lol. Tip: you can go refill your own chips and salsa at the back no need to wait for them because it got hard to flag them down on a Sunday afternoon!
This is basically a bar/​sit-​down and it gets pretty loud but it’s a fun atmosphere, they also have TVs all around so you can choose to ignore your friends too if you wish. Waitresses were nice but service was slow. The food made up for it though.
Buffalo wings were pretty incredible, had a tangy, Tabasco-​flavored kick to it! We all LOVED this and it was gone within minutes. It was perfectly crisp while a generous amount of sauce was coated all over. Use your hands for best results.
Ceviche was the next best thing, the fish was so good with just the right amount of sourness to it, I was expecting crispy tostadas but unfortunately it was to be eaten with the tortilla chips :/​a bit disappointed but it was still pretty good – flavor was still on point.
Pros: the foods we tried were really good, great place to chill out with friends in SB, interior looks neat, great drink specials.
Cons: service was a bit lacking, they only brought one little cup of salsa for three people (really?), food took forever, we refilled our own chips and salsa. They didn’t really check on us but the food made up for the lack of service, I would def come back for some bomb Mexican food and that SALSA.

Die Bar ist einfach super! Sie ist gross und doch übersichtlich gebaut! Man kann sehr gute Fajitas da essen und die Mojitos sind auch einfach Spitze! Die Kellner sind alle sehr freundlich und die Stimmung in der Bar war immer hoch! Es wird ein grosses Spektrum an Live Sport Übertragungen angeboten, welche an am später Stunde 23:00 und somit die ganze Bar in eine Art Club umgewandelt wird! Dann läuft hier die Post ab und Musik wird sehr gut durch einen DJ abgespielt und die Getränke fliessen dann in Strömen!

Just order tacos and burritos a la carte, not worth getting em as a meal because the meal only comes with a small portion of white rice or beans.
A la carte is a better deal for the Mexican foods. The chicken and BBQ are great as a meal!!! Fully adequate. I had the fish tacos which were good, the lobster taco was not great because the cota (?) cheese they use overpowered the delicate lobster flavor. Skipping the cheese next time. Ground beef tacos were freshly made. Hot n crunchy.
The hostess was friendly and our server was great at keeping an eye out for our needs. As well as the food runner guys. Just a really, really cool place.

It’s Santa Barbara’s only place to watch UFC! Quite frankly, I wouldn’t mind a place this large and lively up in the bay area. They were pretty crowded this past Saturday night although we arrived at 5, two hours before the main card.
We quickly discovered people don’t show up until closer to 7 even though it was Silva vs. Diaz. Either way, we got quick seating at the bar where Cheyenne and other bar staff delivered excellent service to us all night.
They have those Coronitas which are reminiscent of my Cabo trip. The sangrias are massive with some rum in them. With all these fancy festive drinks, which are very reasonably priced, you can enjoy some yummy Mexican food which isn’t authentic but still damn good. We ordered the nachos with juicy morsels of tri-​tip. It was full of fresh ingredients, arrived hot and really hit the spot. I was hungry for more and enjoyed a nice bowl of chicken tortilla soup– warm and hearty! My bf ordered the ceviche which came with tortilla chips but was okay.
When the main card finally came on, the place was packed. Amazingly enough, we were impressed with the young crowd all liquored up and behaving well. No obnoxious characters!
We liked this place enough to return in the morning to fill up on micheladas and exploit the fun photo booth before we left. Cheyenne was there to send us off once again.
We liked this place and will definitely return next time we’re in SB, whether there is a UFC fight or not. We loved the artistic interiors, service, drinks, food and fun atmosphere!
