They’ve been great. It’s nice to get a great fast food burger here especially one that take phone orders. I often come here over in n out bc they take phone orders and is quicker service than in n out most days

I got the char burger with cheese and ordered onion rings on the side, my boyfriend got the teriyaki steak sandwich with fries. Everything was great, although he said his steak sandwich could have used a little more teriyaki. Great stop if you are looking for good food with fast food prices. Really hit the spot and now we are back on the road again!

Always a good place for burger and fries. Friendly service and timely. Compared to other fast-food chains… I probably would rather stop at The Habit instead.
This is a good location as well since it’s close to shopping centers

I have a hard time going to other local burger joints now. Habit does everything just the way I like it. Their burgers are superb, and the chicken sandwich is always a tender breast. Their French fries are never greasy or burnt. Even the garden salad is always fresh with copious veggies. I even like their banana peppers better than other places. The shakes they make are noticeable fresh, pure ice cream and they are fast at getting you your food for a made-to-order place. Two thumbs and two big toes up.

We ordered several items, but were missing a few. Drinks, fries, and child’s applesauce. It would be an understandable mistake if it was busy, but it wasn’t. Instead the employees were talking and not paying attention. We tried calling several times to voice our complaint, and maybe get a refund for the items we didn’t receive. We called several times, but were never able to talk to a real person, and just left with voicemail. I don’t think we will be returning here again, this is ridiculous.

This was a tasty burger. And I’m a picky burger fan. Its one I’d put on a level with In-n-Out. Went with a double Char-burger and it was very filling. I read in another review about doing a half-and-half. That’s half French fries and half onion rings. Good choice as you get a little of both. Mostly fries but a few onion rings. The burger was cooked perfectly and not overloaded with toppings or condiments. The fries and onion rings were also cooked perfectly Service was quicker than in the aforementioned burger joint so that is a bonus. Wait time for the order was very reasonable comparatively. Once I ordered I took my beeper, got my drink and sat down for a few minutes before the buzzer went off. Prices were also in line with the majority of other burger joints. Overall I’d say it met expectations and was good. I gave the extra star for timeliness and customer service. I’d return and next time would try one of the shakes.

Points for a surprisingly good red vinaigrette salad dressing! Very much enjoy their fries. Wasn’t in the mood for red meat on this visit but the chicken salad was perfectly adequate. Turn around time was fast! The chocolate malt nearly put me in a coma so while I always love a dessert I would not get one again — at least with a meal. Staff was friendly and smiled throughout service so major points for that too!

Food is tip top and the prices can’t be beat. I especially like the grilled chicken salad though I’d prefer it have a bit more mixed greens and less iceberg. Burgers are awesome and the ranch is addictive. I’m not really into ranch but I love Habit ranch.

I don’t usually love burgers. But I finished mine in seconds, it was so delicious. Perfect toppings, didn’t need any alterations. I got the one with grilled pineapple on top because pineapple is gods gift to humanity and I am excited to try it again. Sweet potato fries were also awesome, almost as much as the regular fries (both crispy and flavorful). One of the best burgers I’ve had in California.

Usually The Habit is the spot to go if you want a good juicy burger, but this time it wasnt. I usually go to the one in goleta or on State Street and they are yummy, but this time our burgers were dry. The bread looked and felt old. I guess the next time I have a craving for a delicious burger I’ll be going to Chubbies! The only thing that saved our meal is the onion rings and vanilla milk shake.

Best burger in town. The La Cumbre one has a nice patio. The only negative might be that it’s impossible to place a to go order over the phone and even when you do it’s not ready when you arrive.

This location sucks. This is the third time they’ve messed up my order and I’d rather go to a different Habit. Ordered the albacore sandwich today and it was burnt and half the sandwich had no meat… not worth the 7 bucks.

I really liked this place. The food was fresh, the staff was friendly and helpful. I had the BBQ bacon char and it hit the spot with its tangy sauce, crisp lettuce, and crispy bacon.
A lot off reviewers compared it to in-n-out, I never really cared for in-n-out. I’m not a Californian native so I haven’t had it since conception, so with that, I prefer The Habit over in-n-out any day.
The price was just about what I would expect for a fresh burger joint, if not a little less. The only complaint I would have its the layout near the soda fountain. It’s cramped and when you’re filling your drink it’s hard to tell if someone is behind you and it’s the waiting area for the to go crowd. But other than that this may be a permanent Santa Barbara stop for the fam and I.

I heard this beats the famous California IN-OUT burger. Since I’m here, I have to have a try. It’s really good! I cannot tell the very difference between The Habit and IN-OUT, but I like the fry onion ring. I may try the others later on.
Anyway, it’s nice to have such a burger place in local. It is just few minutes from my place.

Lots of great burger places in the area but for the value, this place is right in live with in-n-out burger, but they are not at all the same. You should try it all!
I like the double char w cheese, and add peppers that they offer free of charge (located next to the drink machine usually).

The fanciest of the Santa Barbara Habit burger joints, it has a nice mural in the back, and two TVs with the closed captioning on. Usually I see one tuned to a sports channel and the other to news. The dessert case has a few more selections than the others as well.
Even when I come in off peak hours and walk straight to the register the wait appears longer than the Milpas location at rush hour. Also, the food quality is not uniform. One day the burger will be near perfect, the next it is near burnt with little lettuce. The same with the amount of onion rings and French fries.
Still, when I’m near upper State its a Habit and that’s good enough for me.

This Habit location is a little more upscale, as upscale as a fast food burger joint can be, compared to the other locations, and a lot more comfortable. There are booths as opposed to hard chairs. We call this one the «fancy» one.
Get a burger with cheese, bacon, AND avocado, your mouth will be so happy. And MALTS! Yes, you can add malt to your milkshake. Slurp.
Or if you’re trying to be «healthy» you can replace the beef patty with a veggie patty, or order one of their delicious salads.
