Awesome bagel with a very old pickle! This bagel was everything I wanted! It was crispy, delicious cream cheese and seasoned great but… Old and withering pickle? C’mon! That’s just lazy! Their coffee is from Peet’s, so you know it’s good. Service was great too, just that damn pickle… ew.

Do I visit Santa Barbara just for their bagels? No, but they’re so good I almost would. I’ve stopped here pretty much each time I go through Santa Barbara and have always been very pleased with anything I tried. The staff is great too. Look forward to dropping by again soon.

Ok… I came in for a bagel, but there’s just something odd about this place? For starters, there bagels are jammed in a case that unfortunately after I ordered has several flies buzzing around(never a good moment, especially on an empty stomach!) I asked for a chocolate chip bagel and was told they had them… Only later to be told that they didn’t(the case isn’t that big!) No problem… What’s the big sugary one in there? Let’s have it(turns out it’s a cinnamon raisin and sugar bagel). The bagel wasn’t bad(but a mess to eat). They serve Pete’s coffee… So salvaged 3-stars(No Pete’s would have resulted in a single!)

Jack’s has been a staple of the Santa Barbara local community since R. Kelly was golden showering girls. Their bagels aren’t bad… the strawberry cream cheese is a classic choice, so make sure that’s your order. As far as their«b-eggel’s» stupid name by the way, well they’re alright as well. The yellow egg isn’t appealing, like give me the choice or at least make me aware that I can order my eggs differently instead of them looking like the yellow liquid egg you get at hospital cafeterias. I recently had a chorizo breakfast bagel and it was alright, a bit overpriced but when you’re on the run, what’s a Mexican supposed to do when driving on Milpas? Place is okay, if you’re a tourist it’s not an attraction, if you’re a local it’s an option.

We went here for bagels this a.m. This is a great little spot for locals and tourists although it has more local feel. Located right next to Trader Joes and Rite Aid, so plenty of parking. We liked the outdoor seating because you can sit in the sun with your bagels and coffee. Great Coffee and good bagels. That’s all I want from a bagel place.
