Wow. What a terrible experience.
I’ve got a cool toy addiction, and over the past year I’ve spent over 3k in this store and I can honestly say, without a doubt, I will never shop in a brookstone again. Ever.
Carol the manager has lied to me, fabricated stories and insulted me. Not to mention flaked completely on a simple exchange of an item I bought that broke six months into its one year warranty.
How this person is in any type of a management role is insane.

I would give –5 stars if that were possible. Carol is a store manager? she judged me and asked me if I was going to buy anything. She was extremely rude. I will not be spending thousands to furnish my new business. Screw you Carol, I dont know how she got this position but someone should teach her customer service skills.

I received a gift from here and had the gift receipt. The item was unused but was purchased a year before (re gift I think). I called ahead, described the item which they still stocked and was told I could bring it back for store credit. I checked in at the front desk and started browsing for a replacement item. After 10 minutes, I was approached by a manager and was told that they could not accept me return because it was too old. This was on the sales floor on a crowded day. I was humiliated and went home and sold the thing on Craigslist for half of what they were going to give me. I called their customer service hotline on Monday and was told that they should have accepted my return after all but it was too late as I had sold it. I was livid at being shamed in public and getting ripped off in the process and was told I would be getting a gift card for the difference. It never came. Horrible service!!!

I have pretty tough skin, but I have never experienced such horrible customer service & judgement as I had returning yet another Brookstone product that didn’t live up to its expectation.
