Honestly this is by far my favorite hamburger place. My family and I have eaten hear at least 20 times over the last year. Since they’ve reopened the quality I expect has remained consistent but the customer service has increased. They remember means my children and are always very welcoming. As far as the review regarding spoiled food. I honestly can’t relate. They scored 100% on their last inspection… posted on the wall by the register. The freshness of the beef is evident and again the quality is consistent which is why it’s my favorite!

Didn’t even realize Boardwalk had re-opened until today when I went into the shopping center to get a salad at Jason’s Deli. — looking at reviews, it appears it re-opened a few months ago. The menu is basically a 5 Guys clone, but just not nearly as good. Not that 5 Guys is great(I find them to be inconsistent). The burger I had was bland, and the bacon on it was sparse. The fries were rather soggy and tasteless. Also, I can usually taste the difference with grass fed beef, and I didn’t notice it here. Just really bland beef. I’d love for this place to be great as it’s the most convenient«non-fast food» burger joint to my house, but it’s not.

It is an OK place wth 5 Guys type pricing, but lesser quantity and the fries are not even as good or as plentiful as the 5 Guys fries. Quality was nowhere as premium as advertised. Atmosphere and employee attitude seemed a little indifferent. IN theory, this looks like a good concept, but the burger taste was just OK, but not worth the price.

Sorry, I really wanted to like this place, but, now I remember why I stopped going there. Burger was less than even OK — very dried out. Fries though, totally tasted like the fry oil and had absolutely no potato flavor whatsoever — unbelievable for a place that supposedly prides themselves on their fries. Oh, and napkins??? Is it really a problem to put them out so we don’t have to go to the counter and ask? And the size, when you did get one, was the cocktail size to put under a drink — really? Maybe they know because the burgers are so dried out you may not need one? Last 2 gripes — 4 dried out pieces of lemon by the ice tea and no fork to get them out. Hand sanitizer by the bathroom is empty — hope its not how the employees clean their hands… Won’t go back, too many good burgers and fries in Atlanta without wasting any more $$$ here. Maybe I should have known better when there were only 3 others in there during the busy lunch period.

The best beef patty in Atlanta as far as I am concerned. Huge fan that it uses Georgia-raised grass-fed cattle. Also a fan of the wheat bun option and that the free toppings include grilled onions and mushrooms. The downside is that I want a burger place to have a dessert selection. There are funnel cake fries, but nothing else. No shakes is a negative for me personally. Also enjoy burger places with alcoholic beverage options, but that’s just me being picky. For the burger alone, I love this place and give that part a 5. Very simple and gets the food part right. It just isn’t as well-rounded in terms of other choices that a place like Yeah! Burger or Village Burger has.

Just like how everyone wrote on their reviews, this place reminded me of Five Guys. Just like Five Guys, you can put a bunch of things on your burger like bacon, cheese, mushrooms, onions, pickles, bacon, lettuce, and other stuff. You also get a ton of fries. You can share 1 large order of fries with 4 people. This is not a gourmet burger joint. It’s a fast food burger joint like EVOS and Five Guys. They use locally grown, grass fed beef – or so they say. Perhaps they’re telling the truth. I think I can taste the difference in the meat. Or maybe I’m imagining it. Even though they still cook it well done and smash out all the juices, I think it tastes better than Five Guys because of the quality of the beef. Even though they give you a ton of fries, I didn’t like their fries. I think it’s suppose to be fresh. I didn’t like the taste. They have vinegar and Old Bay spice to put on your fries. They didn’t help the taste though. They people here seem friendly. This gives a positive atmosphere. They do like to bring out the charm. The price seems high for the burger we get. Then again, the price is comparable to simliar quality burger places like Five Guys and EVOS. For me, I think it’s better than Five Guys but not as good as Evos. So it’s on the high-end of fast food burgers. It’s good to go in for a fast burger.

Nothing special. Obviously not gross like McDonald’s, but I’ve had better burgers at Wendy’s.

If you’re craving a burger, go to 5 Guys, unless you’re a locovore. If you’re craving fries, come here. Both do a fine job, but they trade spots for«good» and«great» on each item. The dogs and the chicken tenders looked unremarkable. Funnel Cake Fries are decadent, assuming you like deep fried batter covered in powdered sugar.

Have now eaten here twice. I really like their food. 1st time we weren’t paying attention & got the double-patty burgers that are listed as specialties. This past time we got the single patty ones & split an order of fries. Plenty of food. I really like their fries. Both times we’ve finished our meal with an order of the funnel fries. They’re quite good, but a tad pricey for the amount you get. All-in-all, this is a place we’ll visit every couple months or so. I hope they stick around.

Delicious, locally raised Georgia grass-fed beef burgers. You can choose between whole wheat or a white bun and a variety of the standard toppings. The fry sizing is hugely oversized, with the medium we ordered being about the size of a McDonald’s XL fry. Better than Five Guys, which uses mainstream industrial beef. Better than Shake Shack, which uses hormone-free, antiobiotic-free beef.

Had another good meal here the other night. I got the double with A-1 and grilled onions, and we split a large fry. A regular fry would have been fine I think. I like the fries here, and I doused several with the vinegar(apple cidar, surprisingly) and the Old Bay. My burger was officially dripping on the foil wrapper, so I didn’t detect any of that painful ‘dryness’ issue. Are they lacing the beef with bacon fat to give it that ‘holy cow there’s something addictive about this burger!’ flavor? No, it tastes like freshly made, fresh off the griddle grass-fed beef, without a lot of added salt or other bogus injections. You could probably request that they salt it while cooking, which might make it more similar to other burger joints, but I’m fine with it as is: no exorbitant prices, no long lines, just good, fresh burger eats and friendly service.

What could be better than a cheap grass fed beef burger? Well, for a start I’ll say not cooking it until it’s dry and the burger requires some sort of sauce to be edible. I guess because it’s fast food there’s really nothing that can be done about that. On the plus side, they do have a good variety of sauces so you’re not stuck with just ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise. And sadly, you’ll need that sauce for flavor. If you’re expecting that delicious taste you’ve come to expect from grass fed beef, you won’t be getting it. Beyond that, I do love this place. A single patty«surfer» burger is sufficient enough for me with fries to share. I like to get the burger with bacon and cheese, they definitely load up on the bacon. I do wish they used fresh jalapenos rather than the less lovely pickled variety from a jar. Beware ordering one of the already customized burgers listed on the menu if you are not entirely paying attention. They are for the doubles, so be sure to clarify that if you don’t want that big of a burger. Generally everyone that works there is really friendly, whicih I love. I am extremely afraid of checking in on foursquare to get a free order of funnel cake fries just because the scale of gluttony would be seriously tipping to 10. If you sign up for their email list, you get a birthday coupon for free fries. Also recently I got one for buy one burger, get one free, which will of course be put to good use. #Yelp365 — 6⁄365

Occasionally, we are OTPers. Call us adventuresome. Sometimes, we just want something different. So, Husband and I were out to find some food late one Saturday morning. We decided to get breakfast at Flying Biscuit. Drove up and unitedly said ‘what is that?!’ as we saw a new burger joint. So we decided to forego the breakfast and give Boardwalk a try. We’re crazy that way. It appears to be a Maryland based eatery and it made me wish we were in fact not far from a boardwalk… but, I digress. So, I learned that you can build your own burger. Decide on the either two types of buns, the meat, and all the accouterments you like. For some unknown reason, burger amnesia hit me and I gave an order blindly picking THIS and THAT. Well, THIS and THAT did not end up tasting that great, although it had potential with some tweaks. HEY, IT’S MYFAULT! I didn’t put any thought into making an awesome burger. I asked for A-1 sauce with cheddar cheese. I never eat A-1 sauce! Where did that come from? And, I usually put tomatoes and the usual fare on my burgers. Ugh. However, the husband had his thoughts together and ordered The Best Tasting Burger! He got the single patty with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup and mustard. One bite of his burger and I was floored. It was so incredibly fresh AND tasty! My eyes opened wide and the alert husband went up and ordered another one just like it for me. And, due to the fact that the husband told them the wife didn’t like her original burger, the kind girl from the register came to me and gave me a coupon for a free burger! They didn’t have to do that, you know. But, thanks Boardwalk Burgers and Fries, you’ve got a new friend! Go and have them build a burger the way you like it. It will beat Flip burger and leave some dinero in your pocket. We left the joint smiling, waving and audibly giving compliments.

Great find. Delicious juicy burgers and great fries. Free funnel cake fries when you show your social network update to the cashier.

Ok this place is like 5 guys long lost cousin, everything is pretty much identical except for Boardwalks use of local grassfed beef. The burger was good, and who can resist fries when they are covered in old bay seasoning(The Marylander in me loves it!). Service was excellent as well! They do have a few more options than that other burger place like hot dogs, salads, and chicken sandwiches. The one thing that is tempting me to go back though is funnel cake fries! *drools*

I grew up eating Boardwalk Fries on the boardwalks of South Jersey. So I was intrigued to see the franchise move into Sandy Springs. I’ve been craving cheese fries for a while because Atlantans make them differently than I’m used to. I’m used to liquid-y Cheez Whiz type of cheese on my fries, not mozzarella or whatnot. As an aside, I’ve never been to 5 Guys Burgers and Fries. They’re on my to-do list. I’ll update my Boardwalk review when I make the trip over to 5 Guys for comparison. The french fries at Boardwalk taste pretty much exactly like what I remember from my youth. They are crispy and delicious with the right amount of salt. They’re double-fried to get that extra crunchy punch. The cheese left a little to be desired, although I couldn’t quite put my finger on what the issue was. Maybe it’s simply a case of wearing rose-colored glasses. Nothing tastes quite as good when you’re not standing on the actual boardwalk with a sea breeze running through your hair. How could it? I ordered the 7 oz. Boardwalk Burger with bacon and cheese. It was too big for me. It tasted pretty good, but they need to work on their«slip zones». Everything was slipping and sliding around so much, I don’t think I actually took a bite of the top bun. A little switch up in the way the burger is assembled would fix this. My husband insisted on ordering the«funnel cake fries» for dessert. They are exactly what they sound like: french fry-shaped funnel cake topped with powdered sugar. For my own sanity(and waistline), I’m not sure I needed to know something like this even EXISTS. Regardless, they were good. If you like funnel cake, you will like funnel cake shaped like french fries. Go fig! On a final note, keep in mind the french fries come in gigantic containers. My husband and I shared a «medium» and it was more than enough for us. Definitely order a small if you’re alone. I would get a large only if you have 3+ people with you. All in all it was a good visit and I will be back.
