I was so excited to try this place because I heard how absolutely amazing their breakfast was. This was a HUGE disappointment. We felt like our server wasn’t very concerned with seeing if we liked the food. We both ordered the eggstravaganza and barely ate any of it. She didn’t bother to ask«did y’all like the food»? The eggs were dry. The French toast was awful… I do like their décor, but that doesn’t mean I’ll be back.

Of course the food is fabulous but the review is to focus on the service. My boyfriend and I had ordered our usual favorite meals. The waitress got my boyfriend’s order wrong but mine was correct. Since they had to redo my boyfriend’s order the manager said that both meals were on the house. It would have been more than acceptable if my boyfriend’s order was comped but the fact the manager comped both meals was really nice.

Service was slow but the manager was super kind. Biscuits were sub par. Should be named ‘flyin out the door’ bc that’s what you’ll be doing when you taste that hockey puck of a biscuit

I’ve eaten at several Flying Biscuit locations and I’ve never experienced anything like this one. The food was terrible and the biscuits were hard as bricks. To make matters worse, after we received our food the place was swarmed with flies. I also, had the pleasure of also using the restrooms here… I’ve seen much cleaner bathrooms in hole in the wall clubs. I give them two stars, primarily for customer service and because my steak was actually good. If you want the real flying biscuit experience go to one of the other locations!

Went here for breakfast on a weekend getaway and the food was very delicious. I had the egg-stravaganza. My wife had eggs with spicy greens, bacon and sautéed onions… Delicious. The menu was different than we were use too but a good different. The grits were amazing“dreamy creamy grits”. The chicken sausage and turkey bacon all very good. Will be looking for one of these where we live and recommend this place to others.

Wonderful tofu scramble for the hubs, and my scrambled eggs with goat cheese, dreamy creamy grits and cottage fries were excellent, too. Jeff the waiter is hilarious and a top notch server. Coffee is double-brewed, and the music eclectic but great. Where else can you hear Aerosmith’s «Walk This Way» followed by «In the Still of the Night»?

Decent place for a lazy Sunday brunch! Food and beverage — 4⁄5(we ordered a veggie devil burger with fruits on side and a Mexican wrap with potato on side) Ambience — 2.5÷5(cleanliness was a major concern) Service — 3.5÷5 Value for money — 3.5÷5

I visited Atlanta for the first time and a friend brought my boyfriend and I here for brunch on a Friday morning. I was so impressed by the vegetarian-friendly options and ordered a tofu salad wrap and potatoes. The scrambled tofu was absolutely perfect! It was not soggy like some make it, but firm, well spiced, and flavorful. My boyfriend said the grits were the best he had ever had(and that’s saying something, coming from southern Louisiana), and he loved the rest of his meal also. The server was friendly and entertaining, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I only wish Flying Biscuit would come to Louisiana! I would definitely be back.

I really want to like Flying Biscuit more, because their good could be really yummy and I really enjoy the variety of their menu. My qualm is that they are very inconsistent, I can get great service and cold food, poor service and«meh» food, great service and great food… You catch my drift. If they were always spot on I would be willing to give them 5 stars, because their food is great. I recommend their pot roast hash, it’s very non traditional breakfast but it’s delicious… Especially if you have a hangover. Their Bloody Mary is made with sake, but surprisingly delicious with a garnish of okra.

After a less than stellar experience at an intown Flying Biscuit, I ventured OTP to this location in Sandy Springs. I’m glad I did… this experience was a good one! We had no problem finding a place to park in the lot and didn’t have to wait for a table either. It was before 9am on Friday morning and the restaurant was probably half full. Our server was a man with red rimmed glasses and an outgoing personality. I can’t remember his name but he was so helpful. Once he found out that the boy had food allergies, he helped him navigate the menu to avoid his triggers. I’ve had the Shrimp and Grits before(and loved them) but I wanted to try something different this time. The Pasta, Sausage and Eggs was an unexpected surprise. It isn’t their most photogenic dish but the casserole of egg, chicken sausage, penne pasta, mushrooms, spinach and cheese was deeeelicious! I love the idea of pasta for breakfast. I was able to avoid the issues I experienced in a previous review. So, yes, I’m a fan. The flavors at Flying Biscuit are exactly what you want to taste first thing in the morning.

So, going to a Flying Biscuit on a Sunday is always an adventure. Luckily we got there just before the big rush, so we only had to wait for about 15 minutes. Almost all of their locations are usually packed on the weekends, so if you’re in a rush, you should try sitting at the bar or come back during the week. That being said, it’s Flying Biscuit so the food is delicious. Since the food is what you would expect, I won’t spend any more time, besides saying yum. Space wise, there is more at this location than I expected, but it is not the largest one. Also, we were put in a side area that only has about 4 tables or so. The space was a bit away from the rest of the people, though you sacrifice windows(as there is only one smaller one and the rest just wall. Summary: the food is great, the service is good, and so the crowds will come!

I am not a breakfast eater and choosing a vegan scrambled tofu with spinach and veggies is a great choice. Not greasy, high protein and very filling.

Great place to go to right before or after my dentist appointment who happens to be around the corner. I’ve only ever gotten the tofu scramble with salad at this location. If in the mood, i get a dozen of the biscuits to go. Of course a mimosa too. I’ve actually only sat at the bar never at the table ever since the place opened. Yes, i remember i went in their first week and I wasn’t sure if they were open because the doors had plastic flaps and they were indeed open. Service has always been consistently slow and friendly but food is consistent. I would give them 3.5 stars.

Originally went to the one next to Piedmont park and got in loved with the biscuit and the chocolate cake with ice team dessert. Then came to this one but realized that though they have the same name but they have different menu… And they don’t have chocolate cake with ice cream… Sad! The biscuit is good, fluffy and yummy as expected! The grits and potatoes are ok. But I may not be a big fun of the French toast here, cuz the syrup is too much… Feel like my toast is totally soaked… Then I ordered the pancake, but I may not fall in love with the taste. Anyway, the biscuit is really good!

I’d been seeing Flying Biscuit Cafes around Atlanta for years before I ever visited one. This week was my first visit, and it was a great one. I had a mocha while I waited for my meal, and the whipped cream on top was dense and lovely. The mocha itself was also delicious — more of a dark chocolate one. My meal was eggs over medium, grits, chicken sausage, and a biscuit. The grits were definitely my favorite part. They managed not to congeal while also being thick, warm, and creamy. The biscuit with some sort of raspberry apple butter(I think) was also delicious. Our waiter was kind and helpful without being overbearing. He had cool red glasses. After I had finished eating, I decided that the mocha was so good that I should have another, so I did, and I don’t regret it. Over all I give this experience five stars. I would definitely go back.

Southern dreamy creamy grits! Come here! Every time I’m in atlanta, I want the breakfast bowl from here. Expect a line on weekends after 10 am. You can come early and get seated. They usually have some specials and when the includes fried green tomatoes, order it! Can’t go wrong here with any egg dish or something that cones with grits. They add fun names, a southern twist in everything and huge biscuits that are so yummy The only things I don’t care for here are their coffee and this location is slow in refills and don’t have regular sugar on tables? And the other miss for me is the flavored jam or jelly they give you to put on your biscuit. Just regular butter or grape jam would be fine! Servers are usually super friendly and sometimes eccentric. They handle the crowds well. Best grits in atlanta!!!

Every time my Godsister comes to town, she’s GOT to have Flying Biscuit. This was my first time going to the Roswell location. Glad I did. We sat on the patio. Although it was a little chilly on a Sunday afternoon, we still decided to sit on the patio. So glad that they had heaters outside so the chill wasn’t too overwhelming. Anyway, I ordered the Piedmont Omelette with soysage(Morningstar sausage patty) instead of the chicken sausage. The omelette was super thick and they didn’t skimp on the meats! It came with a side of grits and a biscuit of course. I wasn’t impressed with the grits anymore. I remember them being really creamy — which they were but they were really bland. Now that I think about it, we didn’t have salt or pepper on the table. The grits could’ve used a lil salt. The biscuit was a little harder that I would like. The apple butter never disappoints. The one thing that I appreciated about my experience at this location was Kelly, our waitress. She didn’t waste any time greeting us and bringing our drinks out. She was really attentive and came back often to check on us to see if we were ready to order. We took a while to order and she wasn’t annoyed at all. We were just hanging out enjoying the weather and catching up. After our meal, she came and chatted with me for a minute and we had a genuine conversation. I already enjoy meeting strangers so it was pretty cool that Kelly shared some stories with me before the restaurant closed.

This location of the Flying Biscuit Café can be found at the corner of Hammond Dr and Roswell Rd and in front of the Lowe’s which anchors this shopping center. I’ve managed to eat at this location several times and every time the food is just damn good. I originally worked with Delia at Indigo(the last restaurant I was a chef and expediter) so I’m very familiar with the food — when Delia(of the chicken shack) left he took two other chefs with her, Lourdes and Lucero(who went on to open Zocalo) — we all worked together during brunch at Indigo where many of the flavors finds its origins — not that it’s the same, as this trio further refined the flavors into what makes the Biscuit so good. All I know is that I have yet to have a bad meal at any Flying Biscuit location and this one is particular good. We tend to come to the Roswell Rd location as it’s close to work — as a concession to my «eggaterian» friend Sid, the Biscuit is a good compromise between carnivore and herbivore — each of us can find something to like. For me, hands down it’s all about the oatmeal pancakes — but I digress. This Flying Biscuit is on the smallish-side but don’t let that fool you. It’s a good local hangout that feeds you full of very good quality breakfast food. I’ve also had the shrimp-and-grits and several of the salads, but I usually come back to my favorite meal, the High Flying Biscuit Breakfast. This comes with two eggs, chicken sausage, grits and an organic oatmeal pancake — served with peaches. My friend Sid tends to order the Heavenly French Toast with an egg or two on the side. About some of what you get — the sausage here is exceptional, as are the grits — these are some of the best I’ve had in Atlanta — no lie. If you’re a fan, make sure you try them. Also, the biscuits are unbelievably good here — no they’re not like Grandma’s, but these are much, much better than your common fly-by, overworked dough balls you get elsewhere. The service at this location I’ve found good and occasionally exceptional — and the restaurant is always clean. Parking can be a bit of a chore if it’s very busy but there’s plenty of overflow back towards Lowe’s. (longer review posted to my food blog)

I had heard great things about this place so while visiting Sandy Springs I thought I would give it a try. Cute little corner restaurant right off of Roswell Road. After perusing the menu, I decided on the eggs and bacon w/grits. The menu did boast a bunch of tasty looking things, but this is what I went for. When my meal arrived the server pointed out the side of jam that I was to use on the biscuit. I must confess, I tried it but wasn’t a fan. I opted for some butter instead. The eggs were a bit dry for my taste and the bacon was fine, BUTTHEGRITSWEREOFFTHECHAIN! Holy Moly, these damn grits were the best I had ever had! After dunking my eggs in the grits I was a happy girl(don’t judge me)! The biscuit was dense, which some of you my like. Fluffy in the middle, but I have had better. Overall great place to visit even if you just get a big ol’ plate of these freakin GRITS! Oosh tooo good!
