Clean, large, not too noisy, friendly staff, good parking. Price is quite cheap… it’s about $ 10 for lunch buffet, where many other sushi restaurants are $ 18 – 23 for lunch buffet. There are more Americanized rolls(fried, lots of sauce), as opposed to pure shashimi. But hey, sometimes you just want fast food sushi– and thru do have that here, at a fairly good price. Would stop by for a fast lunch on occasion, but there wasn’t anything super tasty that makes me drool to go back…

Stopped in at 1:30 for the sushi buffet. One guy seemed to be working the register, nobody on the floor, and half the trays were empty. After waiting for 5 minutes to be seated and seeing no activity, it was time to leave — I walked out. Yuck.

Very good. I went there for the first time today to grab lunch. Had the sushi buffet. The calamari and fried sushi rolls were great! The negril was fresh and tasty. Only thing is that I wish the server was more attentive about refreshing our beverages. I would definitely go visit again.

99 sushi has a pretty good sushi buffet at lunch. There is a wide selection of sushi and other usual chinese buffet items(chicken wings, calamari, dumplings) all for a good price. Though they don’t put out regular nigiri too often(salmon, tuna), their rolls are tasty and I didn’t find too much I wouldn’t eat again. Yes, many have cream cheese, or are fried, but there were a bunch that weren’t either. Their buffet was 10.95 when I went which is pretty good, especially if you go to town on buffets.

Ive been here several times and it’s been great every time. Lunch is buffet and they give a wide range of options. Great sushi — very fresh!

The hot food was cold and limited. The sushi tasted fishy and was loaded with sauce to, I assume, cover it up. So disappointing since I really wanted to like it.

More like 2 ½ stars at best. I was excited for another sushi buffet in town, but I’m a little disappointed. Pros: — Clean, new space — They offer miso soup upon sitting down Cons: — Lots of rolls but so much of them have cream cheese, sriracha mayo, sauce all over it, or they’re fried rolls — Generous cuts of nigiri sashimi, but I question the quality for such large pieces. — Not much variety of hot foods but I imagine most customers are there for sushi/sashimi Lunch buffet is $ 10.95/person which is ok. Plenty of seating, but I’m not entirely sold on the quality of the raw fish. The sushi rolls look ok and have fun names like«Iron Man» roll or «X-Men» roll, but the taste just wasn’t really there for me even if they’re covered in sauce. It’s hard to enjoy this place when you’ve had Nori Nori, even knowing the price point is different. I wish there was a little more variety here because then I might overlook the quality.

This is a review for their lunch buffet. I would give 1 ½ stars if that was possible. My experience — The Good: The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated, and the staff friendly. The Exceptional: The iceberg lettuce was the freshest, crispest iceberg lettuce I have ever had. It made for two delicious bowls of salad with ginger dressing. The Bad: Everything else. Seriously.

The way I judge a new sushi restaurant see if they have Chirashi on the menu… If so I’m going to try them out. The trend on Roswell rd is to give you a ton of rice and a little fish, 99 sushi breaks the mold. I got a more than 20 pieces of some seriously great(freshest I’ve had on Roswell rd in a long time) fish on a beautiful bed of rice. The only thing I missed was the sprinkle of Masago and ikura on the rice. I hope the quality stays this high. I will be back!

This is a new open sushi place at sandy spring area, they serve buffet during lunch time and regular menu dinner time. The place is decent size and the interior is very nice. Price are kinda fair for this area, portions are decent. I was stuck in the house with my newborn son for a month and finally got a chance dine out with friends, Their menu is pretty big! Sushi, of course! Other than that, they do have a lot of kitchen food choice which is definitely a plus for those who doesn’t eat raw food. The kitchen food include those«Don» stuff which is Japanese rice bowl stuff, often with chicken, beef, tempura shrimp etc. They also have couple choice for ramen and udon. I think it’s alright but one of my friends likes the dan dan noodle a lot even tho it doesn’t taste like the original but it does have a special flavor. Bento box is also an option if u like some fried or grill stuff such as chicken katsu or grill scallops etc. For the sushi, my wife likes Americanized sushi a lot, so we mostly order some rolls. They do have some crazy special rolls and they are well presented. I personally like eel a lot and they are pretty generous on their fish, especially eel. Over all, it’s pretty good place, and I would definitely try out the buffet one day!

For buffet sushi, it’s pretty darn good. Quick lunch spot and attentive service staff. There was a great assortment of sushi rolls, salad and a small assortment of hot items. We will definitely continue to come here for our lunch breaks from work.

Vegetarian Review: We loved the fact that they had more than 2 veggie rolls to choose from! We liked the fresh ingredients, and the ginger of course! But pricing is too high for soy paper they charge $ 2, when other places charge $ 1 extra. Cucumber roll was pretty good. Vegetable roll — has fried veggie tempura in it. But the description didn’t say that on the menu, so I was a bit disappointed, as I’m not a fan of tempura. Overall a pretty good spot. We did take out, so we didn’t dine in, but will definitely try that next time.

Came here for dinner. Ordered sushi, soba and a teriyaki bento box. Quality was terrible, and all of it lacked taste. The soba was a puddle of not so fresh looking vegetables and chicken that was overcooked. The teriyaki beef was really tough and the dipping sauce was sour. Highly doubt this place will survive the competition in the area.

Pretty good lunch buffet. Many different kinds of rolls, nigiri, and other items to choose from. I’d definitely come here again in the future.

Service was good and attentive. Thou limited when compared to Nori Nori it was still OK for a smaller and cheaper sushi selection at a buffet. Will go back but sides outside sushi were very limited. Haven’t tried a dinner there yet.

This place is definitely worth trying. This is my second visit, once for lunch and once for dinner. The staff and sushi chefs are attentive and the food is great. The fish is fresh and the presentation is awesome.

Very good. Had the lunch buffet. Definitely brings some much needed competition to Nori Nori in Dunwoody ;) Will visit again, this time with my co-workers! Overall: Fresh Sushi and very clean and nice dining area!

Went there at 2:15PM on a Friday. No other customers were there. One came in after I sat down. I decided to get the buffet. I was not satisfied with the food. The hot bar was not labeled and the food that I took from it wasn’t hot. After telling someone he turned up the temp. It seemed like most of the food had been sitting out too long.
