Loved this place! Great atmosphere and décor. Used to come here at least once a month. It was a little pricy, but that fits the area. Besides, the food was amazing! I used to get the standard top dog. Also got their chilli cheese fries with some of the hamburger sauce on on them. That sauce was the BEST! Wish I had the recipe. Miss this place and wish they would open up again in Danville.

I’m still upset that this place is closed. I know it’s been a while but writing this is therapeutic for me. I drive by this location everyday and curse out the new tenants. How could the landlord replace a one of a kind, local hotspot with a trendy yogurt shop!!! Pinkberry, you are on my craplist. At least, I’m boycotting this location… I give them 1 year. Two max.

I’m still loving it. I went with the Garlic German today and I’m going to say this is my go to favorite from now on. I was worried about the Garlic part but it wasn’t to bad. Even with the mountain of onions and yellow mustard I put on it, my breath wasn’t to bad. Goddamn that was a good dog!

Everyone at the office knows that I love the Dog Out now(and several of them are now Dog Out fans). It’s still the only place in San Ramon that I want to go to on a regular basis for lunch(and I’ve been to 16 or so places for lunch!) If I have a bad lunch experience, I immediately think I should have gone to the Dog Out. I’ve just completed my first frequent buyer card. I tried the chicken apple sausage($ 3.79). The apple(or maybe it’s the onion or both) seems to make the sausage juicier and a bit sweet. It has a light, smoked flavor and a firm texture. I still prefer the fresh zingy lemon chicken sausage but the chicken apple sausage is good for days when I’m looking for something savory, a little(but not too) smoky and a little sweet. Update: I had the chicken apple sausage again. It’s growing on me. I really like it! Another winner from the Dog Out!
